Very well. Since George was a builder also he provided good perspective on what we should expect and not expect from the builder. For instance, there was finishing work that we may have let go that he said should be done. On the flip side, there was landscape work that we were going to hold the builder to that he said was reasonable to leave since we had landscapers coming in anyway.

Our impression is that Mr. Pembleton is thoroughly competent and trustworthy.

They did a very good job. George was on time, he was helpful, and seemed very knowledgable about his field.

We hired Mr. Pembleton to give a thorough inspection of our mother's house. Everything about the work was top notch. He arrived exactly when scheduled, thoroughly explained the inspection and explained his findings as he went. We received a written report at the end and he took the time to go through all the findings and detail what the issues were and how they could be resolved.

I called George on a Saturday and set up a meeting. I asked him to call me back to confirm a time to do the inspection. He waited a little longer than I would have liked, but did send an e-mail confirming. at the time of the inspection, his GPS first sent him to the wrong address, and then he had a short conversation with his wife while the broker and I waited in the house. So the inspection did not start super smoothly. However, once he actually started the inspection, he was quite impressive. He seemed very knowledgable about the various home systems, explained everything to me clearly, and made several helpful recommendations. I had a question the day after the inspection, and he took a little longer to get back to me than I would have liked, but not so long as to cause any problems. In summary, if you can deal with the distractions he seems to face when he's not in the some building as you are, he provides excellent service at what seemed to be a fair price (taking into account the Angie's list discount). I definitely plan to call on George again. (Of course, as is the case with any home inspector, I won't know how good a job he really did for quite a while after I move in, but that's the nature of the beast.)

I am a Real Estate Agent, I had an accident three weeks ago and can't drive at the moment. I asked George to do a home inspection for my client in Stafford (which is out of his working area). He agreeded. My client and the covering agent were very impressed with his work. George did me a huge favor because I don't trust any other inspector but George, especially if I am not at the home inspection. George was at the house before I arrived. He had done an inspection of the exterior of the house. In plain english, he showed use each issue, explained the possible consequences, and helped us rate the imporatnce of it. George had a book which had useful information on maintenance and logged all of the issues by area of the house. He showed us how to operate the sump pump and gas furnace. All in all int was a great learning experience and very helpful in determining what items we requested the seller to fix. I would definitely recommend to anyone to use Hometrust Inspections, wholeheartedly.

Found them through Angies list. Good experience, too about 3 hours and gave us a very detailed walkthrough. Suggested repairs, but never felt like he was selling other services during the inspection. George was full of information and good advice on routine maintenance.

After this year's heavy snows, I wanted a home inspection done to see if anything was wrong with our townhouse. I noticed a crack in the wall, and wasn't sure if it was from the snows, if it was serious, or what. Mr. Pembleton came out and did an inspection. The thing I was worried about (the crack) turned out to be nothing major, and he found something I wasn't aware of -- a leak in our roof. The inspection took about 2 1/2 hours (we have a small, three-story townhouse). I am not "handy" at all, and Mr. Pembleton took the time to explain everything to me. He also took a look at our water heater, which two vendors had told us was on its last legs, and he thought it was doing fine. He also explained those repairs (minor) and other improvements that he thought we could do ourselves, and those that were best left to a professional. I appreciated his manner and expertise, and would use him again.

George arrived promptly for the home inspection. He was pleasant to work with and did a very good job overall. I was particularly impressed with his ability to identify likely moisture behind the baseboard in the basement, which he deduced by kicking the baseboard. Sure enough, there was indeed moisture and mold behind there, which I had remediated. This was not visible, but was discovered by deduction. George was thorough, checking all windows, etc. He did not rely on sampling, which I did not want. (I recommend that you ask home inspectors about this before selecting one.) There were only a couple of issues I would identify. George's report was good, but there was some confusion in how the moisture issue was written up in terms of location in the home; as a result, the sellers initially wound up fixing the wrong corner of the basement. Secondly, an electric outlet should have been hardwired at the receiving source of the electricity, which it was not. George did not catch this, but later when I mentioned it to him after I moved in, he offered to have an electrician come by and hardwire it, which I decided was not necessary. George also came by later on, without hesitation, to re-look at a crack along the wall in the garage that was partially blocked by boxes of the previous owners. George also provided a couple of referrals, which were very helpful. In all, I would recommend George and found it a pleasure to work with him.

I requested a home inspection after noticing water damage to our home. Mr. George Pembleton arrived promptly at 8:00 am for the inspection. He explained to me in detail what he was going to do, provided documentation on the limitations of visual inspections and went right to work. George performed a thorough inspection of our home from top to bottom. In addition, he also devoted the time to explain in detail to me what were both the minor and major issues and the procedures for which to correct them. For each issue he found, he explained to me what the culprit was. George provided me with valuable referrals and cost saving tips. At the end of the inspection, George provided a detailed inspection report along with a complete review of the issues. George did a fantastic job in inspecting the premises. He is extremely thorough, professional and detail oriented. I have dealt with five home inspectors in the past and none have ever taken the time to educate me the way George did. We are first time home buyers and were very anxious and nervous about the property we bought. But after George's thorough inspection and precious tips, I think we can be at ease now. George arrived promptly in a snowy day, 10 minutes earlier than I do. Explained to me in detail what he is going to do, limitations of visual inspections and start comb the house right away. George didn't simply inspects every parts of the home, he also took time explain to me how it works, showed me correct operation procedure, pitfalls and potential problem to look for etc. For each issue he found, he will explain to me why it happened, how to fix it and how to prevent it. Also gave me valuable referrals and money saving tips, like 3M air filter are exactly the same as PrecisionAir filters, except the latter can be had at 1/3 the price. George did a superb job in inspecting the property we bought, he is very thorough, professional and detail oriented, and went beyond simple home inspection to educate us about each part of the home works, maintenance tips and potential future problems. I simply can't say enough good words about George and would recommend him 1000% to anyone who needs home inspection.

When I called to make the appointment, George told me that he wouldn't be able to do our inspection as quickly as I was looking for, but that he could probably send one of his associates in his place. After reading all of the glowing reviews here of George's service, I was a little put-off, but I went along with it. His associate, Mark, called me back promptly, and answered all my questions about the inspection process. I knew I was going to be in good hands when I asked him if he did testing for radon, and his answer was comprehensive, jargon free, and completely understandable. His schedule was free on the time that worked for us, and he was able to do our inspection with only a few days prior notice. On the day of the appointment, Mark was on the premisis at least half-an-hour before we arranged to meet, early on a Saturday morning, since inclement weather was in the forecast, and he wanted to inspect the exterior and the roof of the house before the snow might make it difficult or impossible. He spent several hours going through the house, and explained everything as he went along. He was very meticulous and thorough, even temporarily fixing some issues with a reluctant ignition on the furnace and a faulty floating mechanism on the sump pump. When he was done with the inspection, he went over everything in the report with us, and was very encouraging regarding issues with the property. All morning, the snow was piling up outside, and I can imagine a less conscientious person might be inclined to rush the process along, but Mark stayed on, making sure we were completely satisfied. All in all, I can't imagine how we could have asked for a better experience.

I needed a home inspection to buy a new house. George Pembleton did a detailed and excellent job of going through the new house explaining how to work things, like the furnace, as well as how I could fix things myself . He answered all my questions at the time and offered to be available to address questions in the future. He wrote down all his observations in a very helpful and educational book for homeowners, which he gave me at the end of the inspection. I highly recommend Hometrust Inspections. You cannot go wrong.

We had an emergency need for home inspection (seller gave us very tight window to accept the final offer) and wanted to have it done ASAP. George managed to do it for us with only 3 days notice in advance. It's a fairly old and "unorthodox" house. George was very thorough and patient, went great length and effort to examine everything he possibly could access. He found problems we didn't anticipate, and gave great advice and estimates on possible remedies. In the end we have a full house book with detailed notes. Although we decided to pass this one, we know George would be our guy to trust for the next inspection.

We bought our home a few years ago during the "boom" many of us may remember -- back then you couldn't get a home inspection done because the transactions happened so quickly. Because we plan to rent our townhome in a few years, we decided to have a pre-listing inspection done now so we could anticipate future repairs and take care of them sooner vs. later. George arrived promptly and went over our townhouse with a fine tooth comb. He provided me with a list of major and minor issues that we should take care of, as well as referrals for a few of the jobs that we need to have done. He couldn't have been more professional and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Hometrust Inspections and look forward to working with George again in the future.

Great experience. Provided us with helpful documentation about our house and was incredibly thorough with the inspection. This was my first home inspection, but my agent who was present was also very impressed and asked for several of his cards. My agent plans on recommending HomeTrust in the future. Excellent service. It went well. George was very prompt (I think a little early), and the inspection was very thorough; it lasted at least 4 hours, and he looked everywhere. He found some problems that needed to be taken care of right away that we were not aware existed. He offered several times that we could call him as time went on if we had questions about anything; its good to know he is out there and I trust he will take my call if and when I need to ask a question.

Since we are buying a new house we didn't know if the place was just thrown up quickly, but George and his associate did an amazing job, and they let us with such a great feeling about the house. There were a few things that were wrong with the house, and we are so thankful that George found them. We feel so comfortable knowing that someone as talented, professional and qualified as George did such a thorough job inspection our new house!

George performed a thorough inspection of my entire house, top to bottom, not a stone unturned. He found several issues which would same me money later by getting them fixed now while the home is still under warranty. Great guy too! He stands by his work!
