+ -1 moreIt went very well! A company representative contacted me a couple of days before my scheduled date to provide an approximate time the employee would arrive. The employee (Damon) arrived exactly on time; he was polite, professional, and very efficient. After he cleaned the upstairs windows, he asked me to check them to see if I was satisfied with the results. He then proceeded to clean the windows on the middle floor, and finally, the basement. He worked quickly, but thoroughly. He kindly answered questions I had about how often to clean windows professionally, and also provided tips on cleaning windows myself. I was very favorably impressed with the whole process. Thanks, Damon! I hope you come to my house next year too!

I got an estimate from owner Pam Cox, got the windows done the following day and could not be more pleased with the service. I will definitely be using them on a regular basis!!!

+ -1 moreThey did a GREAT job! We just moved into this home and the windows were extremely dirty, particularly as we had just had the hardwood floors refinished which creates a lot of dust. JT and Petey got every single one of them sparking. They were even scraping paint off in some places. The end result was amazing. Makes the entire home look cleaner and brighter. I considered rating them a bit lower as their "window" for arrival was 11 AM - 1 PM - and they arrived at about 2:30 PM. However, they DID call about 12:30 to indicate they were running late. Just couldn't reduce their rating - the end result was soooo good! Next time we'll ask for first appointment of the day - and will ask specifically for JT and Petey. They were polite and took very good care of our home. Price reflects reduction for $30 coupon that the company was nice enough to tell us about - doesn't include tip. Virginia Window Cleaners will definitely clean our windows again in the future!!

+ -1 moreMark, the owner called as promised on the night before the job was to be done to confirm. He showed up on time and spent 8 hours working. Because the scheduler hadn't noted I had storm windows also, he called in extra help and got the job done. Then windows are sparkling clean and all areas surrounding have been cleaned. Mark was helpful, friendly, non intrusive, and did a fabulous job.
Description of Work: Cleaned all windows in house and sheds, both inside and outside, plus all storm windows. 20 windows and 1 skylight.

+ -1 moreThe first time Virginia Window Cleaners came to clean our windows the worker did an excellent job. He cleaned all the windows inside and out, including the storm windows. He was even able to open windows that I had been struggling with. He was professional, courteous, and efficient. The second time they came, 6 months later to freshen up the windows on the outside, the finished job lacked a little in quality. Corners were not as clean, windows did not sparkle as much, and some areas looked forgotten. I probably should have had the entire window cleaned to have achieved the same look.

They remove the plastic window grates from the inside of the windows and wash the windows inside and out. We do not have screens on our windows, so there may be an extra charge to remove screens. Damon is very professional and pleasant and does a great job. Highly recommended!

He mentioned cleaning the screens but did not provide an add-on to price quotes, so I assumed it was included. The total when finished was $100 more than past service with no warning. The technician was curt and unfriendly. I will bid the job to other vendors next time, after years of using only this provider.

+ -1 moreI was extremely pleased with the work performed. The crew (6) was very professional and personable. They worked together in an organized fashion while paying attention to detail. They introduced themselves upon arrival and they either removed their shoes or wore paper booties over their shoes while they worked inside. They thoroughly cleaned all windows and doors, cleaned and wiped the window sills and protected the area they were working around. My windows are so clean now that when I look out the window the leaves on the trees look like they are in 3-D !
Description of Work: Virginia Window Cleaners cleaned every window, transom window, sliding glass doors, regular entry doors completely, inside and out. They also removed all the window screens and washed them manually and reinstalled them after cleaning the windows. They also cleaned the screened sliding doors. The screen cleaning service was an additional charge above the original estimate and I was aware of this before they proceeded. I was given a very preliminary estimate over the phone based on the number of windows, doors and screens to be cleaned. I was also informed that upon arrival a more accurate estimate would be done to reflect the actual work that needed to be done. For example, the phone estimate was based on standard sized windows. However I don't have standard sized windows. I have very large double hung windows, 2 picture windows and a lot of them. Also these windows are located on all three levels of the house (including a two story foyer full of windows). So access was incorporated into the actual estimate. All of this seemed very fair to me and all was explained to me both on the phone and when the crew arrived.

They keep a record of the service they provided for you which makes using them easier each time...it is as simple as finding a convenient day and they arrive on time and get right to work. We have had familiar faces return each year to clean our windows. A number of their service providers have been with them for 20+ years. We have a large home and many windows - they are not newer windows so take a little extra time to clean. VA Window Cleaning works efficiently and they strive to make the customer happy. The windows sparkle, they work hard to keep their impact in your home to a minimum, wear covers over their shoes, place all work materials on large carpet squares to keep things tidy, and always do excellent work! I love to support smaller family businesses and this is one we will continue to use year after year.

+ 0 moreWe had a great experience. Mark came over the day after I called to get an estimate. I felt very good about his knowledge of the process and the experience he has in delivering. The work was done a couple days later. Four guys came to the house... 2 worked on the windows and the other 2 worked on the outside. They were here from 8:30AM to about 2:30PM with a small break for lunch. We are very pleased and will definitely use them annually.
Description of Work: We had the house (house, foundation, sidewalk) and four decks (back deck, front porch, and two balconies off the second floor) power washed, as well as all the debris blown off the roof. We also had all the windows cleaned, inside and out, including 8 sky lights.

+ 1 moreLived here for 10 years. Used other specialist power washing companies in the early years and done it ourselves in recent years. Time to have it done professionally. Contacted Mark whom we worked with previously on gutter and window cleaning. He visited within 24 hours and worked up a competitive quotation on the spot. Mark and his team of two arrived later in the week, a few minutes before scheduled time, set up their powerful equipment, moved plants, deck furniture and other stuff out of the firing line and worked efficiently for the rest of the morning. Their attention to detail such as washing behind decorative shutters, cleaning the outside of gutters which were soiled and scrubbing walkways, impressed us very much. I think we are discerning customers for all three activities performed by this company. We have been well satisfied.
