Exceptionally professional firm that does beautiful, high quality masonry work. The owner, Mike Cadle, is a 3rd generation Master Mason who works with the potential client in developing the proposal and explaining the technical aspects of the masonry project. He also returns with the work crew on the day of the project start to make sure every detail is addressed. The crew that did the work, headed by Renee, were likewise very professional. Although it isn't necessary for you to be present while the work is being done it was a good thing that I was at home that day as Renee had an excellent suggestion that deviated slightly from the plan and I was able to approve it right there and then.

Mike was timely for our appointment and quickly provided an estimate that was on par with the other estimates we received. Capital Masonry was one of our top contenders, but we ended up using another highly rated company who vied heavily for the job. We are very happy with the work from the other provider, but still may use Capital Masonry for another project, as we felt the company would work well for us and our detailed standards.

Highly professional. The job went very well, they were fast, did a good job and thoroughly cleaned up the job site after completing the work.

Mike was highly responsive, put together an estimate very quickly and stuck to it very well. The work was done in a timely manner and did not seem to disturb anyone. I was very impressed and the only reason I gave Capital Masonry a "B" on price is that everything seemed very expensive to me. Of the 3 or 4 estimates we received, they were one of the best -- if not best.

The team removed the deteriorating brick, build a solid footing, installed an attractive and solid renovation and restored the brick porch surface with every courtesy and professionalism. The work was accomplished on time, requiring a very long day for the team the first day. We were asked to confirm that the job was completed as agreed before they left the second day. We anticipate building a brick/stone walkway in the coming months and won't have to reach out to any firm other than Capital Masonry to do the job.

I was completely satisfied with the timeliness of the response to my request for an estimate, with completing the job so soon after we agreed with the estimate, with the quality of the work and with the professionalism of the folks who did the work. I was also impressed by the quick response to a message posted on Angie's List for this contractor, when we were asking for an initial estimate. They responded in just a few hours and Angie's List sent me an e-mail to let me know I had a message back from the contractor. I would use these folks again and would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

The price was a bit high but they did a great job. They worked hard and the results were great. No complaints.

Mike Cadle, the owner of Capital Masonry, was very easy to work with. He gave me a reasonable quote, was punctual and his men did great work! They started and finished exactly when they said they would and the estimate that I had been given was exact...no surprises. I highly recommend them.

Mike and his crew were highly professional in their repair of a wall that looked as if it was in danger of collapsing at any time. Not only that, but they went out of their way to satisfy a particular concern of mine about debris inadvertently falling into, and clogging, a storm drain at the base of the wall. They insured that didn't happen! They were pleasant, polite, efficient and delivered a wall that looks solid for years to come.

The work was scheduled, started exactly as planned, and was completed quickly. The design of the job to integrate the two walls is simple but attractive. The quality of the work done is very high. The work area was left spotlessly clean. We are very pleased with the results.

After I purchased the Big Deal, Mike Cadel called me almost immediately and scheduled an appointment to come out and give an estimate for the work to be done. He was very knowledgeable and offered good suggestions for accomplishing what we wanted to do at the lowest cost. He provided an estimate during his initial visit, and we were able to schedule the work and get everything done as quickly as possible. The crew arrived on time on the day scheduled and worked hard to finish the job in the estimated one day turn around. They did a beautiful job, and we are so pleased with our beautiful patio.

Excellent! Mike came and took a look at the work needed, took some measurements and then went to his truck and printed out an estimate right away. Also was able to schedule the work date while he was here. No waiting around. The guys showed up on time , were polite, finished the job on time. It all looks great now.

Mike responded quickly and was the first contractor to come to my home. He give me an estimate for masonry repairs. He examined where the chimney and roof come together and identified what the problem was. He explained how to fix the water leak. He gave me all the time I needed answering all my questions. He was the only mason out of three that had the experience to know how restore the original work and make improvements to keep the problem from happening again. Mike called to tell me the day and time when his crew would be on site. They showed up right on time. They finished as scheduled and cleaned up the job area so you could not tell they had been there. When I examined the work the next day, it was exactly as MIke had described. Capital Masonry accepted payment by check or credit card. The cost matched the estimate exactly. This was a perfect service experience.

All went very well. Responded quickly to AL contact, got estimate few days later. Mike knew what needed to be done, explained how he'd do it, made some suggestions. Credited AL coupon ($200 discount). Work started 2 weeks later. Crew began early Tuesday, finished principal work Wednesday COB, minor cleanup Thursday morning. Work done efficiently, minimal disruption, no drama. Final product looks good (and solid). Would use them again. Highly recommended.

I bought an Angies' deal and Mike called the same day and scheduled a meeting to come to the house and see the work that needed to be done and to give me an estimate. He arrived on time and looked at the steps and surrounding area and not only gave me what I thought was a very fair estimate, he told me that the structural foundation was quite sound and that it did not need to be redone. That gave me a good feeling about his honesty. We hired his company and scheduled for 10 days later. His team arrived as promised and worked all day . A job very well done. Actually, they were working when one of the big storms blew through the area and made a tent out of their tarp and worked a bit extra to get the work done. Mike and his team returned the next day to put the finishing touches on the work. No money was collected until it was completed; that is their standard policy. If I need any other such work done, I would call Capital Masonry. All of the employees were polite, respectful and worked hard.

Impressive!! From initial contact & providing the estimate, Capital Masonry is an excellent example of professionalism, courtesy, promptness & seeing the job through to customer satisfaction. Suffering tree root damage and mortar deterioration, our brick walkway no longer was safe or attractive. Arriving promptly on the set date, Mike Cable, owner of CM, discussed what we needed done, how he would go about doing the repairs, how long the job would take and how much it would cost. He provided a printed estimate and we agreed on a date to do the work. That date was in the near future, and that made us very pleased. On the morning of the work day, Mike and his crew arrived promptly. Mike introduced me to Rene, the lead man of the crew. He described & showed his crew what needed to be done. The three man crew immediately got to work. Our porch & walkways were pressure washed, mortar joints chiseled out, damaged/cracked bricks chiseled out and removed, and a 2 by 10 foot section damaged by tree roots removed. With the preparation accomplished, the crew set new bricks to replace the damaged ones, replaced and set the entire 2 x 10 ft. section of brick, reset about 20 loose bricks, replaced 30 feet of plastic edging with new bricks in mortar, reset existing brick edging at walkways corners in mortar, and replaced walkway joints with waterproof mortar. In addition, the crew installed sheet metal below ground between the brick walkway and the tree roots to prevent future damage. (Note: We had paid $200 to a tree service company to grind the roots along the walkway edge. We assumed they knew what they were doing. Sadly, they did not grind the roots to a low enough level, and the Capital Masonry crew, Rene to be exact, used a pick axe to remove tree roots prior to placing the sheet metal, and he did so without a single complaint or grumble.) The crew had spent a full day repairing our walkway and adding new features. They made sure not to wash the residue from mixing the mortar onto our property, into the street or any nearby property. They put it into drums and hauled it away. They went over the yard picking up an tools or debris. They replaced electrical cords as we had them before they needed to use the outlet and reattached our garden hose. They were polite, efficient, and willing to explain any aspect of their work. They worked on a very steamy and hot Virginia day in July. They did a fantastic job and reminded us not to use the walkway until the next day. We were to allow the mortar to cure over the weekend, and on Monday another crew would be out to wash down the walkway & surrounding areas. That is exactly what took place. Our brick walkway & edging look better now than when we first had them installed 35 years ago. There is no doubt that we would hire Capital Masonary again, and we will gladly refer friends and neighbors to use the services of this company.

Cement steps (two) between the garage and the kitchen floors were added. The work went fine and was completed in two days

Mike was very responsive and professional. Came out right away and provided an estimate to repair our front steps which had been damaged from salt use over the winter. We scheduled the job that same day for the upcoming weekend. Mike and his employees were right on time and immediately got to work. The job was finished in one day and the steps look brand new. We had some minor cracks afterward, but Mike had them repaired immediately. We would definitely hire them again.

Mike and his team did a great job. The end results were perfect and were done in the time outlined in proposal. They turned an eyesore of a brick fireplace into something I love looking. Thanks, Mike!
