They never got back to me. They came out and promised me an estimate. It's not right to make us wait for an estimate. They are the worst because, I didn't hear from them. They gave me an approximate price. They came, took measurements and left. They didn't do anything else. They didn't do anything. They have just left me hanging there without any information. I waited a long time for them to get back to me, so I crossed them off my list.

Mike came out to review the work and give me an estimate the same day I called. I looked at 2 other stone masons, but Mike had been the most responsive and most professional of the 3 so it was an easy decision to go with him. He gave me a written estimate for the work and answered all of my questions - this was the first time I've needed masonry work done and was uncertain of what was needed, but he was patient in explaining what would happen. I had a flagstone patio installed last year by another Angie's List provider that I would not recommend. They said they were going to do an acid wash to finish it off, and I thought they had. However, I've had 2 landscape designers come by in the last year and both of them said I needed to have it done. Mike's crew did that for me and the difference in the look and feel of the patio is amazing - it finally looks like I expected it to last year. There were also some flagstones that had started to crack, so his team used a mortar saw to expand the cracks and fill with mortar. Since it is an irregular stone patten it looks as if they were designed that way all along. The repair work on the front of the house was for multiple cracks running from both corners of the garage door and above a row of windows on the second floor of my home. In addition, they rebuilt a corner of my front porch, filled in another crack running along the brick to the right of the front door, and re-filled areas on the front steps where mortar had disintegrated or was cracking. All of the work was extremely high quality He called a couple of days before to let me know what time they would show up, and they arrived exactly on time. His team worked efficiently and quickly and everyone was extremely polite. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, and have already recommended him to friends and family.

Capital Masonry installed a new patio last week, replacing our concrete patio with a Pennsylvania flagstone patio. The patio was extended by 8 feet as well. Mike, the owner of Capital Masonry, was very cordial and extremely responsive. He contacted us immediately after we requested a quote, and he came out very soon thereafter to give a quote. Like Mike, his team was very pleasant. Capital Masonry's pricing was very competitive compared to the other companies that gave us quotes. We are really looking forward to using the refreshed patio space in the coming years!

Mike Cadle, the owner, came out to give us an estimate on the work we wanted done and he also pointed out an area of a retaining wall that was in bad shape that we hadn't noticed. His estimate was in line with others we got for the work to be done. The Capital Masonry crew arrived to begin work on the scheduled day and time. They power washed the area to be repaired and then did an excellent job of of resetting bricks and repairing mortar. They came back a few days later to power wash again and make sure all their work areas were cleaned up and looking good. We definitely recommend Capital Masonry and will use them again for any future masonry needs.

Capital Masonry was superb and they far exceeded my most optimistic expectations. If you are looking for a masonry company that is responsive, professional and works miracles, look no further! After several years of really brutal winters, we needed major repairs to a front door walkway, steps, backyard patio and pool deck ? all made of flagstone. Many of the stones had cracked and shattered. We called several companies but quickly decided on Capital Masonry, because they had such strong customer endorsements on Angie?s list and were very responsive. While the other companies were not available until the end of the summer, Capital agreed they could repair rather than replace what was there and could start the work immediately. In less than a week from the time I made the phone call, we had a brand ?new? sidewalk, patio and pool deck at a fraction of the cost. Thank you Capital!

In the past we had contracted with Capital Masonry to repair a poorly designed brick front porch. The owner of the company provided the solution and the finished product was excellent. For that reason we asked them to take on the walkway. We discussed our desires with the owner, agreed on the design of a walkway and decided on a date. The work began as agreed, the team was extremely client-oriented and knew their job. The walkway was completed in two days and adds to the attractiveness of the property. The crew was very professional, paid attention to detail and seemed to take pride in their work. Care was taken to minimize disturbing the surrounding grounds. The owner inspected the work at its completion and spent time explaining the materials, the durability we should expect and how to best care for the walkway in the long-term. We will ask this firm to complete other projects as we continue the improvement of the property.

Mike - the owner of the company - takes genuine pride in delivering his services from the point of initial survey of the job right through the end of the wrap up. His pride and focus in service delivery make the repairs a distinctively positive experience for me. Mike met me at the house to do a walkthrough of the scope of the project, during which he didn't try to "upsell" the project at all. He identified the issues that required repair and was right down the middle of the fairway on all things related to the scope of the project and the hit to my pocketbook. He gave me an estimated cost on the spot, leveraging a mobile printer in his office. From there, we scheduled the work to occur a week later and his guys consistently delivered at Mike had promised that they would. I am nothing but pleased in the level of detail, the completeness, and the speed of their work. Thanks for being such a great provider.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the job performed by Capital Masonry. We called for an estimate to install a new concrete stoop and stairs on Wednesday, 13 May. Mike Cadle agreed to come by and do an estimate on Saturday, 16 May, at our convenience when we would be home to discuss the job. Upon inspection, Mike told us that our existing concrete front stoop was stable (even though it was cracked), and that it would be more economical to allow them to shore up the concrete and cover it with blue flagstone instead--at half the cost of pouring a new one. He gave us an estimate for the flagstone work, and to pour a 4-foot by 18-foot concrete porch extension. He wanted to schedule the work to start on the coming Thursday, but since we had a conflict he agreed to have the 2.5-day work begin on Tuesday, 26 May (the day after Memorial Day). Mike's crew showed up on time on Tuesday, and over the next 2.5 days diligently did the job. The crew was polite, professional, and hard working (in very hot weather), and did an excellent job. When they were done, we were not happy with one aspect of the job. We had decided to leave the existing iron railing in place (after discussing it with Mike during the estimate). However, in order to accommodate the existing railing, the crew had to deeply notch the flagstone so that it would fit around the existing side rail on the steps. My wife and I did not expect that this would look this way when we made the decision to leave the rail in place, so we contacted Mike to discuss options. Mike came out the following day to inspect the work and to discuss the notched flagstone steps. He admitted that it was notched beyond even what he expected, and that it did not look right. Even though I had offered to pay him to have his crew come back and re-do the work on the steps, Mike graciously said that he had not anticipated that the steps would look this way, and offered to have it redone at no additional charge to us. The following Monday (1 June), Mike's foreman returned, removed the rail from the steps, and removed and replaced the three flagstones affected by the change. The steps and concrete porch extension look absolutely great. And the fact that Mike would have his workers re-do the work that we were not happy with, at no extra charge to us, was a pleasant surprise, and reflects very well on the pride that Mike has in the work done by his company. Throughout the process, Mike was extremely friendly, helpful, and answered every question fully and without hesitation. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

It went very well. Mike and his team were extremely responsive and completed everything in a very punctual and detailed way. We have one flagstone that doesn't quite fit with the rest but that was the only complaint over a fairly complicated job.

The owner's call, visit, and estimate occurred on same day. The work was scheduled a few days after I accepted the estimate. The workers were prompt, polite, and efficient. The job was completed and cleaned up perfectly.

All A+s. Work needed was to rebuild part of the chimney and re-mortar other parts. When Mike, the owner of Capital Masonry, initially came to look at what work was needed, I had already obtained a few estimates. I asked him about the items I had been told needed replacing. Mike was honest and forthright, advising me that I didn't need that work done. Mike and crew arrived on time the day the work was to be done and promptly began to erect the scaffolding needed. While Mike did not stay, his crew, who has been with him a number of years, worked steadily during the 8 hours that the job took. Chimney work is messy but the clean up was excellent. I am pleased at how well the replacement brick and mortar matches the existing.

Everything happened on schedule with the work starting and ending exactly as it was meant to be. The job was beautifully done. The men worked very hard, turned up early and put in long days.

Mike was very responsive ( I emailed on a weekend to set it up after waiting months after he had given us an estimate). He emailed back the same day even though it was a weekend. He came by and started the work that week. The patio looks amazing and we are so happy with the job that was done. The workers were very nice and they completed the work quickly despite the cold weather last week.

I had a brick retaining wall collapse at a rental property. Mike responded to my request for an estimate right away and visited the property the next day. He was the only provider I contacted to visit the property as quickly as he said he could and he got me an estimate the same day he inspected the wall. Mike did the work right away and it looks great. I would not hesitate to use Capital Masonry again.

Mike was very responsive to my request for a quote. I couldn't do the work right away, but he responded immediately when I was ready and his crew was available to do the work starting the following Monday. The crew demolished the old asphalt apron and collected and removed all the old debris. They cut out the old pipe and placed the new one, as well. The second day, they finished excavating and forming for the extension on the drive and poured the concrete. The work went very quickly. After a few days curing, they came back and removed the forms and cleaned up the site. The job was very professionally done and we are very pleased with the finished product.

Work was scheduled very quickly and was completed on day we were told it would be. Finished job looks really nice and we will use them to do the other side of patio at some point later to match. We had one question with how our edge was done and they came back to change it free of charge within days. We are very pleased with the overall process with Mike starting with the quick response on getting us a quote and then scheduling and completing the work.

I had not yet purchased the Angie's list coupond for this company which stated, $200.00 off $400.00 of work. I did not know from the information on the coupon that the minimum job they do cost $1500.00, regardless of time. The representative asked what work I would like to get done, I told him each area, and I asked that the cost of each project be specified. That is when I learned that I needed to spend at least $1500 to get the $200 off from the coupon. I decided I did not want to go with this company because I didn't like the fact their coupon information looked like the cost was 50% off for $400 of work. Angie's list please talk with the company and get the information on the coupon clarified. Thank you.

The crew was professional and worked long days trying to avoid possible rain delays. The owner was responsive, the job was scheduled quickly and we were satisfied with their work. Our first experience with Angie's list was a good one!!!

Great job! Mike and his crew installed paving stone steps and a walkway on front of our 70+ year old house. The work is beautiful and blends nicely with the house and the retaining wall. Lots of compliments from neighbors.
