I had previously called the company about moving certain items from a home in VA to a different home in NC. I listed the items and was given an estimate over the phone. I said I was not in a hurry and whenever they had a move scheduled to southeast states and had some room left over on their truck they could let me know. About 2 weeks later I was informed that Crawford's could move most, if not all of my items and if I still wanted to do it they would come either the afternoon of 2/11 or the morning of 2/12. I agreed. On 2/11 around noon I received a phone call that, if I was ready they could head over to my VA house to pick up my items and would arrive in a little more than an hour. They did, in fact, arrive promptly. The owner and 2 workmen. I found them all to be friendly, professional, efficient, hardworking and even willing to do a little over and above which was to move a bed from one room of my house to another. They worked hard and packed everything carefully. The following day they drove from VA to our NC house where they were met by my husband. Again, they were professional, yet friendly, working quickly, yet carefully to unpack everything and again even moved an item to my basement from the first floor that was not part of our agreement. This is a family owned business and the folks are just as nice as can be. They are honest and hard working. There are so many bad moving companies that rip folks off out there that I have heard about but not the Crawfords. I have additional items that will need to be moved at some point in the future and you can be sure I will be calling the Crawford MOving company. They carefully wrapped items to protect them and padded other items. Nothing was broken or damaged at all.
