Fair price for the work performed. New heat pumps were American Standard which are working OK after twelve years of service (and several repairs done by other AC people). Did a poor job installing the new duct work under the house. The business is very small, and the owner's then wife did some of the installation. Biggest problem is trying to get hold of him. Numerous phone calls, not returned, before you could get in touch. If something breaks, good luck getting it repaired soon. Since 2003, I have used other AC people to install and repair my heat pumps, and found them to provide better service

This company has serviced our heating systems for a decade and installed one of our systems in a newly constructed home at one time with success. They are a small, family owned and operated business which was one of the factors we considered when choosing an HVAC company, we often opt for the use of local companies if possible to support our community economy. All of the service men are wonderfully kind and very amiable and when we do, eventually, have contact they are very willing to work with employment schedules. The overall impression is that the business is aging with the family members that run it and the demands of 2012/13 are overwhelming. This and the last several service calls, both for yearly maintenance and troubleshooting, have been less thorough than usual and it is becoming increasingly difficult to get in touch with them. When the listed phone number is called the voice mail box is often at capacity or the phone simply rings. We had woken up on more than one occasion with the temperature in the house having dropped significantly during the night. (59 degrees is cold at 5:30 AM ) and upon inspection of the thermostat, the auxiliary heat indicator was flashing and the vents were blowing cool air, not a welcome feeling when the temperature outside is 27 degrees. Short version, the system was reset by us, called our HVAC people, got a call back and two days later the tech came out, looked at the outside unit, did a cursory look at the thermostat, declared the events a mystery and said if it did it again to call back everything upon inspection looked good. Okay, well, we chalked it up to anomaly took the $90 bill and went about our business feeling secure until it happened again this week. Can't afford several more $90 mystery afflictions and really need a shorter turn around time for response. We are going with a larger company with a larger, more current, service tech pool.
