"No work was performed, as Steadfast failed to provide a quote for my project. I was excited to discuss my proposed deck renovation with them, based on the many positive reviews I read on Angie's List and their very professional process of scheduling an estimate with me. However, on the date of the appointment, the salesperson failed to show. He called me shortly after we were scheduled to meet to let me know he'd been unexpectedly delayed. These things happen and certainly can be overcome, especially as he assured me he'd call me back later in the day to reschedule. However, he never called back. Two days later, I called the office to inform them of the issue and request they send someone else to estimate the job. They asked for the opportunity to see if they could dispatch someone that same day (a prospect that would have been very satisfactory, as I was available) or, failing that, to make another appointment for later in the week. Again, I was promised a callback that never came. In short, it would seem that my business was not wanted by Steadfast, which is surprising in a market with a great deal of consumer choice. Perhaps it's for the best, however, as I have often seen reliability in the bidding stage of a project portend how the job itself will go. I only wish they had not wasted my time and caused me to arrange my schedule around an appointment they could not manage to keep. UPDATE(02/25/2020):After my initial review, Steadfast's general manager reached out directly to me in order ensure his company was providing the quality service many of the other reviews here reflect. He went above and beyond to ensure his team followed-up with me in an effort to earn my business. I'm very impressed anytime a service provider seeks to overcome an initial failure, and certainly that was the case here. I'd say that speaks volumes about the character of the company and its leadership. I appreciated the professional quote Steadfast ultimately provided and will provide a further review if I choose them to complete my project. UPDATE (04/08/2020):After further discussion with the Steadfast team, I was confident they had the right approach and mindset to complete my project; so I chose to hire them over the other companies I was evaluating. Now that my deck restoration is complete, I’ve very glad I did, as their builders were skillful, conscientious, and did a terrific job. I’m very pleased with the finished result and the composite products they installed. In particular, their install lead, Nelson, was very receptive to my requests and went above and beyond to make sure the work was to my satisfaction. Despite some missteps during the initial quote phase, I appreciate how Steadfast pursued my business and ultimately delivered the job I needed at the right price. I certainly recommend them to you."

"It really is a big deal when you find a team that delivers what they promise and they do it with exceptional service and quality. Cassella Design & Build is that team! It has been amazing to work with them. Elijah and his team are responsive, come with great ideas, are professional, and they utilize an easy to review project system that was really cool (as you walk with them, they can add or remove items to your quote and it tracks it all). We started our project in March and the rain was a pain, but many times they pushed through since they knew we had a pool opening date that we were trying to keep. "We learned about AVEC through friends who have a beautiful screened-in porch, and we later contracted AVEC to build us a new deck and screened-in porch. The whole experience was fantastic, and AVEC was very attentive to our needs and worked closely with us at every step. We now have a deck and porch that exceed our expectations in every way and is so nice that we are already spending much of our time there just enjoying it. With all of the professional touches (skylights, recessed lights, wall-mount stainless steel heaters, tongue-in-groove wood on the house wall and ceiling, Trex decking and wrapped columns, etc.) it really looks much more like an addition to the house rather than a just a standard deck/porch. The deck and porch really transform the whole house. There are four individuals we worked with on a regular basis. Alex was the first person we met and we liked him from the get-go. He is extremely personable and knowledgeable, exactly the kind of person to best manage customer relations. There were never any big issues really but even the little concerns we had Alex always sorted out quickly and professionally. He always had time for us and took care of us. He is just an outstanding person. He was, for us, the face of the company, and we couldn't have been happier working with Alex and getting to know him as a person. Hernan was the on-site manager and got everything going (demolition, footers, and decking footprint) prior to taking some planned vacation. He was excellent. We remember him saying 'you can't see this yet in your minds but I can and it is really going to be a beautiful structure'. He was correct. Then there are Rudy and Melki, the two men who essentially built the entire thing. They were wonderful. Very courteous, very friendly, very helpful, very responsive. Rudy is a genius, and his years of experience working in this field really showed - there was nothing he could not do. Rudy was very good at explaining things. Melki was also incredible— soft-spoken and confident. These men are physically strong and extremely hard-working. There are often multiple ways to do something and Rudy always asked us which way we wanted it done. They never took shortcuts. They always took time before leaving to clean up the job site. If we wanted something a certain way, even if it was not really the standard way that they normally did things, they would accommodate us. For example, the stairs down off the deck are normally built a certain way but we had a faucet that we wanted to be on a landing so they re-engineered things and built some custom stairs that are just perfect. We talked with them every day and came to enjoy interacting with them so much that we actually missed that when the job was over. Thank you AVEC for transforming our house in such a beautiful way. We could not be happier with the outcome."
