I requested an estimate for lawn maintenance program to get my weed-filled lawn back into better shape. I was looking for an annual program including weed control, fertilization and re-seeding in the fall, if necessary. I also was looking for a local company. Weed Man's customer service and response to my request was excellent. I received my quote via e-mail in 1 day and a follow-up mailed estimate with company material a few days later. I also received a follow-up phone call asking if I had any questions 2-3 days after the email quote. At the time I contacted Weed Man, I also contacted another Angie's list vendor for a quote. Weed Man's price was slightly more, but not a significant amount higher. I decided to go with the other company. If I am unhappy with the vendor I selected I will definitely go back to Weed Man.

SVC as always was done efficiently and with satisfactory results.

I've been impressed with them so far. They're a family-run business. They actually emailed (instead of calling) me a couple of days before to confirm the appointment. They were accomodating! They came out in the fall to complete one fertilization treatment, and aerated the lawn. The approximate cost is $70 per application. Within the last couple of days, I've noticed that my lawn has been looking very green! It's been a good experience thus far with no problems.

Really well! My lawn went from looking as if I needed to buy an old car and put it up on blocks to complete the look, to looking as if people in fancy dress would be pouring out my front door for a rousing game of croquet!

Weed Man Company is local and that’s why I decided to go with them. Their workers did good quality work. I would use them again in the future.

Alan uses a combination of pellet and liquid applications, depending on the weather, turf conditions, and timing, all with superior results that continue year after year. His staff is very knowledgeable, courteous, and happy to resond to questions or requests. He is sensitive to the environment (we live in the Occoquan watershed area) and does not "overapply" any chemicals, nor use any that seriously harm the ecosystem. He offers additional, ad-hoc services, such as aeration and overseeding, which I'm free to accept or not accept. He offers an annual billing program, with a prepayment discount, and I've never hesitated to take advantage of this offer, since I know he'll do a great job.

Allan at WeedMan came out and gave me a quote for early fall fertilization, fall weed control, fall fertilizer and aeration and seeding. The quote I felt was quite fair and I did get a quote from another company where the aeration and seeding was less but the other was more. So, overall WeedMan was the best value. They came out when they said they would, answered questions I had and the customer service has been excellent. They still have the fall weed control and the fall fertilization to complete, but all in all the service has been excellent. I am very happy and look forward to working with them again.
