Same story, assigned by HMS. These guys are extortionists . My HVAC had issue during the past week Polar Vertex shift. HMS assigned the case to Umbrella. The service person , Syed came in and mentioned that the Heat motor is broken and needs to be replaced. And offered another service of cleaning Fan for $149 and I declined the additional service. The actual colors started showing up after declining. He said he has reject the claim mentioning the lack of proper maintenance. I have two children 2 and 6 and cannot afford him sending back. I had a pay the additional $149 for him to clean the fan and $100 for the deductible to fix the motor. More over the Fan and motor are two different parts. Extortionists!!!

These guys were great. The were assigned my claim through my home warranty company, so I didn't do any research ahead of time. My coil needed replaced and was covered by the warranty, but they didn't push a compressor on me at all. I ended up requesting the compressor quote myself and decided to replace the whole unit. They cut me a bit of a deal as well since all the R-22 disposal fees and such were already covered by my warranty plan. I had numerous issues with the home warranty company ordering parts, and Umbrella went above and beyond by calling the warranty company numerous times, got parts changed to better recommend ones with faster turn around times, and really just did everything they could to get our AC running as fast as possible. They showed up 15 minutes early for the install, and stayed until completed without taking any breaks. The unit actually showed up with a pinched wire that was causing a short, and they diagnosed and repaired it onsite very quickly. The also rerouted/reran my drain pipes, electric, and lines to improve the cosmetics of my installation without complaining when I asked. They also rewired my humidifier as they noticed the installer had it done it wrong previously. I normally go with big companies, but I'll be using Umbrella Mechanical Services for my HVAC now for sure. Overall amazing experience with them, you don't see this much anymore.

Said and Anwar are the most considerate and informed HVAC professionals working in the Northern Virginia area. Said and Anwar were solely focused from the moment they started to the moment they completed the install. They removed the old system, installed a new system, and had it up and running and working like a charm. Just amazingly professional and high quality workmanship.

It was a painless experience. Saed was able to come out earlier than expected and communicated exactly what needed to be done. From the first phone call to the office I was greeted by a very friendly lady on the phone who set everything up for me. The price was very fair and I never felt like they were trying to rip me off or add something that I did not need. Thank you so very much for everything!

It was the best news some one could have that didn't have a lot of money to invest in a new AC unit.I had a local company out of Gainsville Va come by and look at my AC unit and they were pushing for me to replace the whole AC unit indoor and outdoor so i thought i might need a second opinion so i got one.The mechinac with Umbrella Mechanical assured me that I didn't need a whole AC unit and that he could repair the condenser at a fraction of the cost and that's exactly what i did.I couldnt thank these guys enough for there honesty.I highly recommend this company for any AC replacement or repair if you are in the Northern Virginia Area.They are by far the best AC company in this area.

This has been by far the best customer service that I have experienced with a company in forever. Their communication was amazing. My A/C went out, and our home warranty company assigned them to us. I am so happy that they were assigned because I couldn't have been in better hands. Unfortunately the Home Warranty company ordered the wrong part that delayed the installation further out, but since I was home with a newborn, UMBRELLA MECHANICAL SERVICES escalated the issue. If they didn't escalate the issue I would have had to wait an additional week to get it fix. They were able to fix it right away. I never write reviews, but this company deserves all the business that's how good they are! Highly recommend them!

My Friend Recommended Umbrella Mechanical Services when I had some issues with my HVAC unit. The sales representatives had been very professional and very accommodating. They stick to their word. If we have an issue, they make sure that it's fixed and it's done right. And follow-up is excellent. Their technician was very knowledgeable respectful and punctual. He did a great job in fixing my units and he cleaned up after himself. My system is up and running better that it was before. I would highly recommend them

Owner/Operator was punctual, polite, very knowledgeable, out of 5 estimates Umbrella was the absolute lowest. I expected shabby work but what I got for the money, was beyond belief in a great way. I would recommend to anyone needing heat pump replacement or any other service Umbrella provides. I will definitely call them if I ever have issue again.

They were sent by my warranty company and did an outstanding job. Spent 3 hours diagnosing the problem, fixed it, which saved me another 2-3 days of having NO heat. A+!
