I already had the flooring on the first level and wanted to finish it in the bedrooms I contacted Bill and got a quick response. He came to the house took measurements and was quick with getting back to me with an estimate. The work was scheduled and performed on time and my home was left in beautiful condition and the workmanship was exemplary! def will use them in the future.

The actual installation and the finished product I would give a 5 or an A. HOWEVER, getting there was painful and just not a pleasant task. We were lied to on many occasions.the date was the 18th, 3 weeks before, 2 weeks before, and 1 week before we confirmed it was supposed to start on Monday. I got a call on Sunday night, one of the jobs ran longer, there was an emergency so it would need to be Tuesday. I got a call on Monday, was told one of the guys got sick and they needed to start on Wednesday. When they came on Wednesday, the crew chief was there and I asked if he was feeling better. He looked at me like I had 3 heads, he said he hadn't been sick, that the boss had other smaller jobs that had to get done in another town. We were flat out lied to. We have steps. With steps they do not use actual hardwood flooring planks to use on steps. The last day of the job, he stopped by the job and said they made a mistake and your hardwood flooring planks were not done in the correct color so they'd have to come back to finish the steps. Why would you wait until the last day of the job to check on the steps? Due to the missed schedules. the failure to return phone calls. and poor management, I would not use them again. We did get several quotes and the price was very competitive.

they did a wonderful job. showed up on time ( they were 15 minutes earley that was a good thing) the workers were very professional. the group worked fast and was out in 5 hours. If you want your project to be done right call Two By One Construction

Installed hardwood in kitchen, foyer, office, living, dining, upstairs hall, and master bedroom. Came out beautiful. The install crew was amazing. They worked 12+ hour days Wed. - Sat. We honestly can't find anything wrong throughout the house. We highly recommend.

They did a great job, very concerned about making the door perfect. Very communicative.

Although the work was ultimately done, it wasn’t without nonstop headaches, damage to stove, incorrect measurements, restarts, etc. Owner is a nice guy but he just seems to be out to lunch when it came to managing the work correctly. I’d rather have someone who takes pride in their work and it does it correctly from the start. Why should I have to tell the owner about problems and manage what his people are doing or not doing. Just absurd.

Okay. They were very personable and they were just very willing to do you know they kind of just did everything we asked them and in a timely manner and everything that we had on our list they did I mean like I mentioned the vanity they nay have actually spent a little longer that our deal had but they you know they still did it without charging us any extra for the time they were actually here for shorter than we had actually, they instead of just like one handy man they had two to four handymen out here so they were actually only in the house for probably like two and a half days. So that was really nice and convenient that it wasn't like we would have to be home the whole day for like a week.

Overall, it went well despite having different people working on different days.

Great! This is a fabulous company. I have used them several times at my sister's house in Gainesville, VA and recently at my residence in Warrenton, VA. They are extremely diligent, hardworking, fair and honest. I cannot praise their work enough and recommend them very highly,

I would have to say after having to wait nearly 3 weeks and having to endure constant excuses of installer not being able to make it not so good at this point. But when installation did happen, it took them a whole day to get flooring installed and looked good. But after further inspection because the dishwasher isn't working, I found out that they (the installers) did a poor job cleaning. I found that they did not sweep up the old tile and dust under the dishwasher and stove. they just placed appliances over top like I would never check under. Also, did not remove all the old tile. Also, make sure any work getting done is written in writing and don't take their word for it. I probably will not be using them again.

He came out to give me an estimate, and I am still reviewing quotes.

I'm fairly disappointed... I made some mistakes in handling the "deal" I purchased, and I ended up spending a good amount of money to do very little work. The deal (Contractor for a Week) is really a subcontractor who has little to no understanding of the task at hand. The week is 38 hours worth of work that burned fairly quickly. Explaining layout? $$$ Worker taking phone calls? $$$ Using a heat blower to dry the patched wall? $$$ The worst are the quality problems... I provided my own tile supplies/materials for this job, and the quality install is so poor, I lost BOTH the money on the labor and will have to purchase new materials for the fix. So upsetting.

Service support came out to my home promptly. He saw the deck and was going to call back and give an estimate on fixing our deck, but never called us back. We called them and never got a response. I called Angie's List and cancelled the deal and got my refund.

It was disappointing. He was going to provide the sanding for the floor, but the flooring was really bad. The sanding job so bad, I had to replace the whole floor. He gave me the same price that he had for the other flooring area. So it was more like a continuation of the big deal. They messed up the floor and then they brought the flooring. He was supposed to match the existing flooring I had in the hallway. He was telling me that eventually it will match, but I'm not so sure about that. With the sanding that they did, I had to purchase another flooring, so that was another $1300.

It went really great! This company aims to please. They did not submit my payment until they confirmed I was totally happy with the job that was done. Great customer service.

Im so happy to have Two by Four Construction LLC to do my floors. They look absolutely beautiful. They were very professional, and fast. They cleaned everything before they left. I couldn't be more happier. What a awesome job! I will surely be using them again... A++ service...

The gentleman who did the installation and repairs did an excellent job.

They did a good job. I was working on a tight deadline and they worked to fit me in.

they did a great job, were on time. the only problem was they charged 120.00 extra

The work itself was done well but by the time extras were added in, which co-owner Bob strongly implied were required, not optional, this job cost us the same as if we walked in off the street. There really is no deal here. Second, miscommunication plagued this job from the very beginning. I believed we had set a date for the work and then arranged to take off work and moved all of the furniture and appliances out of the kitchen only to have Bob advise on D-day that he thought the work was for the following week. Great frustration. The workers themselves said that refinishing the shoe molding was not necessary yet when the work was complete Bob said they refinished it anyway and charged us for it. We weren't watching every step of the job so we had to give him the benefit of the doubt. TIP: If you are going to do this kind of work, never EVER do it in the summer or winter when you cannot open the windows. The fumes produced by the refinishing process are noxious and hazardous - Two By Four advised turning the AC on to accelerate the drying process but that also circulated the dreadful fumes throughout the whole house, which made us all nauseous. Doing this work with all of the house windows open and fans blowing it the only way we see to avoid this problem. All and all, this transaction did NOT sit well with us.

Work was well done. Everything cleaned up at the end of the work day.

This has been by far the best experience I’ve had on Angie’s List, and certainly the best handyman service. The day after I purchased the deal, Two by Four Construction emailed to schedule the work and ask for a list of the jobs in order of importance. A week later their workman showed up on time and went straight to work. The jobs were: 1. paint a 20 x 11 ft kitchen ceiling from beige to white 2. replace two interior door knobs. 3. install door knocker 4. replace weather stripping on front door 5. repair a hole and install curtain rod bracket 6. repair wall crack 7. replaster and sand a former patch job on wall 8. caulk bathtub 9. paint remainder of kitchen, if there is time Jobs 1-8 took about 4 hours and during the remaining time he was able to paint the rest of the kitchen with two coats and did very nice work. He had all the supplies needed and also offered to make small improvements that I didn’t think of. In addition he was polite and helpful and I could tell that he wanted to do a good job out of personal pride. I will definitely be using this company again for any work in the future.

Arrived on time, very professional, they had to wire all three bedrooms in order to install the ceiling fans (they knew beforehand). The work was quick and the installation went well. There's no evidence they had to wire the room, no touchups needed to the ceilings. Very happy with the work and he provided information on what would be needed to install a couple of ceiling fans on the front porch. They do much more than just ceiling fans, which was the offer I had found. I have confidence in their work and will be hiring them for additional projects.
