It went well but they couldn't complete the repair to the tile in one of the showers because it was wet and they needed it to dry out so they had to come back and complete that repair on another day.

the rep came out and measured flooring. he kept asking if I had prepaid for the work. I should have realized a scam was happening when they kept postponing the work due to temperature. I called again to get a schedule and was told the rep has split, they don"t do floors any more and they dont have my money...Angies list has it.

The 2 guys came out virtually same day and got our washer and dryer installed and working perfectly in our new house. Very nice and professional. I was very impressed with responsiveness and communication. Would definitely hire again.

The worst experience I've had with a contractor. I should have known there was a problem when the start date kept slipping a day at a time, and they didn't even let me know. (We had moved an hour away and were doing the floors in the old house before putting it on the market.) Once the work started, same problem. Bob, the guy in charge of this job, would contradict himself every time he talked to me. In the end, the work was pretty bad. They were to match the one stain to the one room we'd recently put hardwood in, and they didn't even get close to the color. There were drips of stain in several locations, and lots of stain on the baseboards. The sanding wasn't great, with ridges showing in many areas. The stain wasn't evenly applied. There were a few patches where poly wasn't applied. Etc. Etc. Somehow they blew the circuit on the electrical box when they wired into it for the sander. It cost $130 to fix. Oh, and they left behind a pile of trim debris and most of the vent covers disappeared. Finally, some disturbing info came to light regarding a subcontractor they hired and lied to me about. I would say that they did offer to come back and fix some things, but most of it wasn't fixable without doing it all over again, and there was no way we were going to let them back in our house.

I've used them in particular for a lot of smaller jobs in the house, all of which have added up to a fair amount of work over several years now. This company is a more full scale construction company, although it specializes in - it likes to say - in bathrooms and kitchens. It does basically everything. They've also done some building out of closets because these are very small closets, refinished walls and ceilings, installed a hot water heater, did a lot of circuitry work, if you will, adding additional outlets and things of that sort - so just a general refreshment of the interior of the house. I would grade them A overall and down the line, or they wouldn't still be in the house. I've got something that's working with them now that's still underway.

We had some issues scheduling the actual work. The day of installation, they arrived quite a bit later than originally scheduled however they did keep us informed of when they would be arriving (arrival time kept sliding throughout the day). That being said, the work was done quickly and it looks beautiful!

Apparently the day they started to work on our bathroom they lost their foreman. Rather than stop bidding new work and focusing on the work they had they sent anyone they could find to come in and do the work. The tile person they sent was so sloppy and so incompetent that they had to come rip out everything he did and start over. They took over a month longer than they said they would and when they finally finished they didn't clean grout in the shower or on the floor and they left the pile of scrap materials in the front yard and we had to haul it away ourselves. They may have been good before they lost their foreman but they certainly are not anymore. I wish I knew who their old foreman was. I would be inclined to hire him for a project but I will certainly never use this company again.

They were incredibly responsive and professional. Within two weeks, we scheduled the job and they stuck to the timeline. I'm used to contractors not being timely and this was not the case. They started when they said they would and finished a day early. They were accommodating with our choices for stain colors and even offer to move furniture in and out for a reasonable fee. I watched the guys move the furniture and they were incredibly careful in doing so. My floors look phenomenal and we were incredibly impressed with their workmanship. I highly recommend this company!

It went very well. We chose what we thought were more than enough projects for the day; however, Gary Junior was so well skilled and efficient, that other items were added to the list and completed. We had an emergency come up in the middle and he stayed and contacted a colleague and returned the following day to resolve the additional problem.

This was a tricky job because the our 1950s house has had two additions and in the kitchen all three floors join and were uneven. This was causing the grout to break up and required removing the existing tiles, laying a stronger sub-floor and then re-tiling the entire kitchen. Although the job was more extensive than what was estimated once the tiles were pulled up, Two By Four honoured the original quote AND finished the job on time. The finished product looks great and no more loose tiles. I would definitely recommend using this company.

Great!! Their estimate was reasonable, they finished on time, helped me pick out products ( met me at Home Depot and advised me on paint, provided tile and carpet options). Work was done very well and they left the place nice and clean. Folks that did the work were very nice and I was very pleased with the end result. Also had to build walls back around the new tub since it was down to the studs. About to sign them up for another painting job!

I guess not a great relationship. They were here two or three weeks ago end of February 2017. It cost $1800. I hate to say this because they didn't come back and rectify some things. I gave him the opportunity with the issues, I mean they tried, but they rectified some other things, but once I paid them the payment, I no longer existed basically. I'm sure, without a doubt, I could have found someone cheaper to do this, without a doubt, I know I could of found, but frankly I was read to have it done. The installation looks fine, before doing the installation, I'll tell you specifically he had measured to get my refrigerator, and because the floor was too high, they had to remove a cabinet and replace it with another smaller cabinet. Fortunately I was able to find one and purchase it to replace it. It was a huge ordeal. I remember specifically when he came to visit me asking him if the refrigerator would fit under the existing cabinet after replacing the hardwood flooring, and he said, yes. He did bother measuring or doing anything. He just looked at sitting in the chair in my kitchen. He wasn't very professional about it and it caused me a lot of time, issues, and concern about if he was going to do the right thing. I was able to find another cabinet to fit above it so the refrigerator could be pushed back in to the wall. The guys when they did the flooring, when they moved the stove so they could install the hardwood floor underneath where the stove was, and they put the stove back and chipped the enamel off of the stove on both sides when they were putting it back, they hit each side of the stove on the granite. It chipped the enamel off the stove on both sides. I sent him a photo of it and he didn't bother responding, because he already had his money. So now I have chips of enamel of the sides of my stove. Otherwise the guys a nice guy. He had to pay somebody to come replace the cabinet, so that cost him and he probably wasn't prepared to do anything about the stove, there's not much you could do to the stove unless you had somebody paint it or replace it, I don't really know. He probably didn't have no interest in losing more money in the project. When he did the bathroom, the bigger wood closer to the floor, he installed that and the guy didn't paint it. They were suppose to have done that. There were enough issues that I would have to say I would never hire the guy again. When he was here he took my American Express card number and left, the agreement was we'd get together, we met in like around the first of December so there was no way I was doing this over the holidays, so I said lets sign an agreement, here's my credit card, and so we agreed to, I think, we will proceed. Well the guy left and charged my credit card 50% of the project the same day. He didn't ask me. He didn't tell me. Of course that wasn't my understanding. So I called him about it and said we haven't even scheduled a date ye and it doesn't take you a day to buy wood. I said, you charged my American express card $900, you had no right to do that and I certainly didn't give you authorization to that. He said, well that's what we did, blah blah blah. I just let it slide because I knew he was going to come back and do the job but still, he shouldn't have done that. He ended up having charged my card like 2 and a half months in advance prior to the work being done, so I didn't like that at all. Then I got into what the total amount charges were suppose to be versus what he thought they were suppose to be and it was wrong. He ultimately agreed to my numbers. It was just a big headache the whole time. He changed the dates like 3 or 4 times to do the job. Originally there was two guys doing the wood floors and then they did their thing. Then he had to bring some other guy in to try to resolve the refrigerator and cabinet issue. The work took a few days to complete. The guy that had to do the cabinet work was on the third day. He was here all day long, we were trying to resolve this issue. I ended up having to resolve it myself but they paid for it. I found a cabinet and they went and bought it. They took this cabinet down and put in the new cabinet. They were very good about cleaning up after themselves. They put plastic up so none of the dust would go anywhere except the floor. They did that but they forgot to put plastic up over the door from the kitchen to the dining room. So the entire dining room was covered in saw dust. I called the manager of Two by Four and said I'm going to have our cleaner to come in here and clean the dining room and kitchen and everything else, he agreed to that, he didn't give me any trouble over having someone come and do that. They did the wood floors really well, it looked beautiful.

The overall results were mixed, some were done fine, others not. The individual had a difficult time with the light, which was not his fault, but the fault of the existing wiring. The light is in, although he was not able to center it--not his issue, I think The bathroom sink drain will have to be redone. Our major concern is that he left without saying anything, left his ladder and drill in the foyer along with a bag of garbage, left the old calk in the tub, etc.. Basically, a mess, which we have cleaned up. We're waiting for someone to notice the missing tools and, of course, we'll return them. Overall, a gracious young man, perhaps over his head. Not a good experience. We rated professionalism as C, only because we were left with a mess to clean up.

They did just fine. A little trouble with scheduling but the work was done well.

It was very good. He was very cordial, friendly, easy to work with and the price was reasonable. He did a good job cleaning up. One of the weatherstrips fell apart and I am waiting to hear back from him about that.
