The provider contacted me the same day I purchased the deal and got me on the schedule.  Although I didn't have the services completed until a couple of weeks later, that was my choice not his as he was ready to schedule me immediately.  On the day of services, Dale arrived on time ready to start working.  He had a very positive upbeat personality and was there to help me with whatever I needed.  I had, what I thought was a pretty agressive list but Dale kept completing things with lightning fast speed.  His work was impeccable.  He cleaned up afterwards and came to me each time to see what else he could do.  In an 8 hour day, Dale hung two ceiling fans, replaced two outdoor motion lights, installed a new over the range microwave (the hardest part was uninstalling the old one), hung a large very heavy mirror, replaced closet hardware, replaced all kitchen cabinet hardware and removed a border in the kitchen.  I still had a little time left over but I wasn't prepared with any other tasks for him to do.  I definitely got my moneys worth out of Dale.  I can't believe how efficient and professional he was.  Dale spent the last part of the day taking measurements and pictures and discussing future work that I would like to have them complete.  I can't wait for the next project. Thank you Dale, you are a true asset to your company!

Gary Stannard, the owner, has been great to deal with. He promptly returns calls and emails. Pricing is very fair.
I bought a Big Deal for 8 hours of handyman work and provided Gary with a list in advance. This visit was so-so. Two men arrived to work 4 hours, though one was 30 minutes late. They dug out a broken outdoor lamp and lamp post and installed a new one with concrete. They did a good job. The job was more difficult that anticipated.
I also asked them to replace three outdoor light fixtures. Upon removing one of the old fixtures, they discovered that it was improperly attached to the siding and had to go to Home Depot to get replacement electrical boxes. One man ruined one of the siding mounts for the light and cut into the siding, so it could not be reused. I was disappointed that he was not more careful. He purchased some new mounts, but he did not have time to complete the work, so they left me with two missing front lights. I don't fault them for the problems they encountered, but I wish the one man had been more careful in removing the light fixture so as not to ruin the siding and mounting block. Gary provided me with a fair estimate to replace the mounting blocks and install the three lights, and I plan to use 2x4 for this.
They also reinforced the basement stairs, where there were some popped nails, and troubleshot an electrical outlet that wasn't working. While I was a little disappointed they did not get to my entire list, they did a good job. Unfortunately, they left 30 minutes early as none of my other projects could be completed within the allocated time. I wish they had spent this time cleaning the concrete bits from around the lamp post. Had I not had a Big Deal, I probably would have been upset, but I felt $300 was fair for the amount of work they did. Based on this, I hired them again. I liked them and thought this was just a fluke.
On another visit, another man replaced two ceiling fans. He was quiet and efficient. He did a great job.
Gary also sent two men to give an estimate for a bathroom renovation and hardwood floor installation. Both men were professional. Bob, the floor man, is very responsive. The quote for the floor was competitive, and I plan to use them for the flooring project.
 I will update this review (and hopefully change everything to an A) when the other work is complete. It's been my fault that it hasn't been completed yet. Gary has been great about staying in contact with me.

2X4 came when they said they would and performed the services we had contracted for.
The floor had been badly scratched and faded and now looks almost new.
We are very pleased with the work.

Kenny arrived on time and immediately began work. He was professional and pleasant. He conducted all the work brilliantly and was finished in no time.  Plus, all this work was completed for only $200.

I was so impressed by Two by Four's quality work, I requested Kenny come back to replace another ceiling fan and install a water spigot in the back of the house.  He did that earlier this week and again, the work was extremely affordable, and I'm happy to have a reliable, professional company to call on when I need work done around the house.

The refinishing technician, Carlos, was extremely courteous, professional and responsive. The work was started on time but there was a slight delay installing all the shoe molding because he had to get more material. My floors are old and were mistreated and stained before I bought the house, but he did such a good job that they look better now than I expected.

We met with Gary, who showed up on time and well-prepared. He looked at our third floor master bathroom, took notes, and gave us a detailed, itemized quote to estimate the costs of a full gut renovation. 
After meeting with three contractors, we ended up going with a different company. The company we chose had their own showroom where we could get the stone slab pieces at a discount, achieving a more high-end look without the cost. However, it's worth noting that Two by Four had the lowest quote, overall.
Gary was professional, clearly experienced, and was responsive to our phone calls and emails. I'd certainly recommend.

Dale, who was the installer, is an excellent technician.  He arrived at my on time,  disconnected  the old ceiling fan and installed the new fan to the specifications that it called for. When the installation was completed, Dale checked it out  to assure that it operated properly and cleaned up the work area.   He did not mind that I observed his work and he was conversationally friendly.  I would definitely him to my neighbors for this service.

There was a little bit of confusion initially regarding sending the right person for the job, but it everything worked out. Dale was great and we're quite happy with the service.

the service was performed to my satisfaction and did not required a call back, which is high praise to me.

Excellent job. The company's representative was very punctual and the work he promised was delivered. The technicians striped the floor, thoroughly vacuum the floor, and applied a coat of wax to the floor. They return the next day and repeated the process but applied twice to three time the amount of wax to the floor. The floor looks likes clear glass and everyone that has seen the floor has commented on the quality of the work performed. They also ask for the contact information of the company that performed the work which I have gladly provided.

They did a great job - very responsive after the technician  experienced an issue when installing the second fan.  A second technician came and discovered it was a broken wire and resolved the issue quickly.

I purchased the $75.00 ceiling fan installation on Monday, next day they scheduled the job for the following day. Overall I am very please with their service. Associate was a little late but is understandable in this area. He did his job in a timely and professional manner. My fan works well an area where he worked was cleaned up.
 I will call them again in the future as they were dependable, courteous and easy to do business with.

Two men arrived and worked for 4 hours.  They accomplished relatively little compared to what I would have expected given the time.

Carlos was the nicest gentleman and did a beautiful job.  He was very respectful and cleaned up after he finished.  If Carlos is a representative of the service employees this company has on staff - you have a winner.
