Two large boxwood bushes in the way were carefully dug out with roots to be replanted. It was sleeting and cold outside. The work crew were all very nice and cheerful despite the terrible weather. The project cost about $500 more than the estimated $400 but it was very nicely done.

Provider arrived on time, completed the work and cleaned up. Uneventful and highly recommended.

DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR. Meeting with Gary was ok, but his crew was sloppy, unprofessional, slow, and downright scary. They agreed to perform the service in 4 hours for $350. After 4 hours they had barely done anything and informed me they would need an extra $700 more just to put my kitchen back together. I honestly felt very uncomfortable being alone in the house with these guys and asked my husband to come home to help negotiate this unexpected charge. The "foreman" yelled at my husband and the other worker, Larry, complained that he needed the extra money to pay his mortgage. We basically had to pay them to get them out of the house. We ended up with big holes in our drywall. We had to tear it all out and re-do it after the crew left. Gary was unresponsive to a request for a partial refund.

I thoroughly ensured that this service provider could MOUNT, not hang, my mirror in my home. I sent pictures, dimensions and all other specs needed to assess the job. He told me that he could do the job, therefore I purchased the deal. After many late visits, no shows, workers that intended to hang the mirror instead of mounting, as requested, and other issues, he advised he could not do the job. He has only apologized thus far. He has not mentioned a refund and I did not get the service that I requested.

I purchased a Big deal but the company said they could not perform the job as my unit didn't have existing wire for a ceiling fan or attic access . I’m overall disappointed in the outcome since they could not do he job but they did response very promptly.

I wasn't real happy with them. There was lack of communication, especially amongst the owner and employees. When the guys came in, a lot of times they would not know what to do, so I would speak with the owner of the company, but he would not relay it to them, so it was like when his guys were here, I had to re-explain everything to them and things would get lost in translation.

It was a great experience with one of the nicest providers I've worked with. Kenny was friendly, professional and very patient with me as I tried to determine how long I wanted the chain on the chandelier. I made a decision and then when the light was attached, it looked too long. It turned out to be an easy fix, but before he knew that, Kenny offered to take the light down in order to satisfy me. Also, I mentioned that my son had pulled out the chain from his ceiling fan that turned on the light. Kenny saved the piece from the dining room fan and replaced it in my son's fan so that the light can be turned on easily. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I'm already looking at other ceiling fans that I might want to replace! I will definitely call Two By Four again.

So far so good. They said it will take one day. We have talked to one of them and he was very good. He seemed honest and straightforward. I think he gave us a pretty good price. So far I am pleased and I am confident that it will be just fine. I did it online and he was here on Monday or Tuesday. He was very punctual, in fact he was going to come at the time we had scheduled but we called him and wanted him to come earlier which he did. That was good. I have no complaints. It is what I expected. The Big Deal price through Angie's List was $999 but we wanted them to do more so we paid extra. The response was great.

Scheduling was pretty easy and there were no additional costs. One technician completed the work. He showed up at eight in the morning and then said he was going out to purchase supplies. He arrived back an hour later and had gotten breakfast. He spent eight hours on the work and cleaned up everything. My experience with them was great.

They seemed professional, but it wasn’t clear to me in the deal that the ceiling height was limited to 10 feet. I studied the fine print, and there was nothing there. Had the limitation been there, I would not have purchased the deal. However, they showed up on time and were very prompt. I was pleased they could schedule me right away. They were apologetic that their ladder was too short to complete the job.

My experience with this company was great. Scheduling was fast, and the contractor was on time (actually early), and he was very nice and professional. My husband installed a ceiling fan, but we couldn't get the light to work, so we purchased this deal to have a professional fix the problem. Our contractor, Ken Morgan was absolutely wonderful. He fixed the problem, which turned out to be a wiring issue, and he even took the time to look at a problem with a fan in another room. He also inspected a room above our garage where we need to have insulation installed, and talked with me about the possibility of building a new closet. He went above and beyond what most contractors would do, especially when hired for a small job, but because he did, I would definitely hire this company again.

It went well. When the man ran into something, he called his boss. The answer was simple and the "problem" non-existent. I appreciated the fact he got affirmation before proceeding.

Went very well and they did an outstanding job. Both handymen were friendly and professional, and they were able to navigate through some unexpected issues with supplies. I would use them again.

Two by Four did a beautiful job at restoring a worn/water damaged small wood foyer floor to make it look brand new! The team took it's time prepped the area and even went above and beyond to make sure the job that was done was up to their professional standards. The team also took into account the fact that we needed to be able to walk on the floor later in the evening and timed their services so as not to disrupt our day. I would definitely would recommend Two by Four and I look forward to reaching out to use them on future projects.

This was a little different as my son wanted a urinal in his "Man Cave" and Two By Four Construction was up to the task. The powder room look unbelievable. The workmanship excellent. They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. When they left the project they made sure it was complete to our satisfaction. They cleaned up and left their work area as they found it. The recessed lighting is beautiful. They repainted all repairs and left the room looking so professionally done. They are tiling two bathrooms and I expect great things. I will again review when finished. I have had Two By Four Construction complete many tasks in my home and both of my son's homes. I actually found them on Angies List and have been using them ever since. You will get a fair price and great workmanship. They listen, and guide you throughout your project.

I had a bunch of things on my list for them to do. The head guy Gary was really great in scheduling me as my mother had passed away and I thought I would not get the offered deal but he worked with me. But what had happened is that he had sent a couple of his employees to come work on it but I had a bunch of more stuff and should have just got another Angie's List deal over the long run. One of his employees ended up saying it would cost you more with the deal and I would charge you less and I will do all this other stuff. The bottom line was I went the deal and that employee did a terrible job. He side swiped stuff and everything. When I called Gary and reported it he came back himself to make sure everything was done perfect and up to par. I knew it wasn't his fault as I should have not had that guy do the extra work. That guy ripped me off for several thousand dollars but I knew it wasn't part of Angie's list deal. Always stay with the contractor and never have one of the employees come back and do extra work that they say will be cheaper. Gary was really good and fixed more than was required from him.

This company was prompt and provided excellent communication. We opted for a higher priced service then offered in their "Big Deal" in the stripping and refinishing of our master bedroom's hardwood floors. As part of the process, they removed all moldings, stripped the floors to bare wood, then refinished with a darker stain for a more modern look and installed new quarter round. We were very pleased with the end result, though there were some areas where the sander left "trenching" marks. The floor surface was not completely smooth as a result, but it appeared to be a very minor complaint which we chose not to bring to the company. After all, the end result was a very good and they were very accommodating with us (and our two high-energy dogs). I would use them again.

The gentlemen were on time, performed well, were courteous and clean. I would highly recommend this provider.

They did an overall good job on the ceiling fan with only minor issues. I was 100% satisfied till I saw one of the blades was upside down. The good thing is they came back early the next day to fix the problem and made sure all was well. Good guys who I would use again.

Prompt response to purchase of Big Deal. At the time of the estimate, we agreed to have floor completely sanded instead of just top finish. The crew took care to minimize dust through the rest of the house and did an excellent job with the refinishing. They stained and installed new shoe mold to match the floor, The owner followed up with a phone call to see if we were satisfied.

It went well. They arrived on time and did a thorough job. He cleaned up after himself. Very satisfied with the service.

The two workmen arrive on time, asked pertinent and thoughtful questions, understood my requirements, measured the attic for insulation, purchased the required amount of insulation, and then proceeded to complete as many of the tasks on our prioritized list as time permitted. We're delighted with the service provided and the bang-for-the-buck overall value. In the months ahead, we'll very likely be calling them back for painting and more general contractor work.

Kenny Strickland was the representative from Two By Four Construction who came to my house to install the ceiling fan. He actually identified a problem with the wiring in the light which the ceiling fan was to replace. He completed the install pretty quickly and explained to me what other services Two By Four Construction does. Kenny was very professional and the cost to install the ceiling fan today was very reasonable. We talked about several repairs around my house that need work. I'll definitely use this company's service again.
