Description of Work: The company removed an old ceiling fan that wasn't working & installed a new ceiling fan that we had already purchased elsewhere. The installer arrived at the designated time, was very professional & courteous, & finished the installation in a reasonable amount of time. I would use this company again.

Description of Work: Did a great job. Came for a day and got a few things done, such as hanging a door, installing some ceiling fans, etc.

Description of Work: The technician was a perfect gentleman. He was very polite and friendly. He arrived on time, installed the ceiling fan and left.

Description of Work: Gary and Bob's crew installed hardwood bamboo flooring that we provided on the main level of our townhouse which involved first removing old carpet and linoleum. After the installation they touched up paint along the foot boards and installed new shoe molding. The result was fantastic! |One word of caution, if you leave furniture in the rooms that are being worked on make sure to properly protect them since the workers will need to move them around and possibly set them on end. Our couch material was damaged from setting on end and we had to get it repaired, but Two by Four Construction paid for the repair in full.

Description of Work: I purchased the handyman special to complete some projects that were beyond my comfort level. | |Master bath: built a new vanity, sealed the tiled floor, put in new floor boards and shoe molding, crown molding, installed light fixture and new toilet. | |Foyer bath: centered light fixture, installed mirror, installed shoe molding, installed toilet. | | |Good stuff! Description of Work: Two carpenters finished my garage walls with drywall and installed floor to ceiling shelving along the back wall.

Description of Work: They have not finished the work yet. The foreman is very responsive but his job supervisor has not contacted me since the first day. My expectation was that he contact me every couple of days until the job is complete. I have sent an email outline what I want done and the date I need it completed. It takes 2-3 days to get a response.

Description of Work: Moved an electrical outlet and did a wood ceiling on an angle. |Very pleasant to work with, - but wish we had gotten two people that were fully qualified to complete the task. Be sure that the work you want done is clearly determined before the job starts.

Description of Work: We bought a package handyman service in December 2013 but ended up having the work done in May. They replaced a french door; several large rotted trim boards on our exterior; upgraded our dog door; and replaced a rotten threshold.

Description of Work: I will start with what was good about Two By Four Construction...They arrived on time at my home, and the owner is a nice man. Their advertising of a week of a contractor is totally misleading. The goal is to send two men for two days of work only. When the owner came to my home to see what I wanted done, he assured me that they could get the work done. First off, the two men who came on the first day wasted so much time putting down plastic on my stairs vice wearing booties over their shoes. Then there was over an hour wasted about electric plugs at either end of the island they were installing. I had to tell them that Loudoun County requires one at each end because of the length. They did not stick with one project and finish it. On the second day, I have no idea how the one fellow wasted the whole day. The second person did the wiring in the basement, to include plastering the places he had to cut in the ceiling. I could go on and on with my displeasure. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: They cleaned and painted my faded trex deck, put up some 6 panel doors in my hallway, and did a long list of other miscellaneous projects around the house including plumbing, Fios wiring, etc. They did a great job on everything. Minor mistakes here and there, but they fixed anything I wanted them to and I think absolute perfection is not realistic, even though I am picky about detail. I found Gary Sr and Gary Jr to be very easy to work with and their crew did high quality work. I made several changes to the list that the Gary's accommodated. I purchased all materials separately. The price listed is labor only and a crew of 5 did almost all the work in 2 days.

Description of Work: Company never responded to my request. I sent my phone numbers -nothing. I do not remember the exact date that I contacted them first - I responded with my phone numbers and never heard back from them. Maybe they don't need the business.
