Timely and on cost

They did a wonderful job, were extremely professional, punctual and did what they said they would do on time. They were great to deal with and I would use them again any time. I actually used another Angie's List company to redo my bathroom and bedroom and it turned into a nightmare. I thought that I would save a little and it ended up costing me way more. I wish I had just gone with Rick and his team and I would be confident that I would have gotten a great job. I am also a real estate agent and top producer and have recommended Thomas Builders several times and every client I have recommended has also been extremely happy with their work.

Our experience was wonderful from meeting with their architect to finish stain on screen porch. Rick was able to guide us through use of important questions ie: What do you want to accomplish? New space or extension of existing area. How do envision finished product trim, color, lighting, flooring. Where to place furniture as to where electrical plugs, wall mount for panel tv should be located. Dave was on site daily making sure all the construction points to the job were on schedule and flowing smoothly. Every single employee was polite, hardworking, on-time and very talented. They all worked as a well tuned professional team. I felt comfortable leaving my home while they worked. By the time they were finished both my husband and I felt blessed to have met such a fine group of people. They did a fantastic job and we're pleased we hired them.

From our first meeting in the spring of 2010 with Rick Thomas to looking at the finishing touches, Thomas Custom Builders was a pleasure to work with. Rick?s quick grasp of what we were trying to accomplish was coupled with sage advice on what to aim for to keep the estimated cost right where we needed to be. Rick's recommendation of a designer was perfect and gave us the detailed plans we needed. Dave Holmes' meticulous attention to detail and supervision of the team provided a high quality, aesthetically pleasing final product. Those horror stories we?d heard led us to expect cost overruns and Rick cautioned us from the beginning that the unforeseen could lie under the deck or elsewhere throughout the project. The rapid discovery of issues under the deck made us concerned, but, in the end, the overruns were less than ten percent of the estimate. Three quarters of those were the result of conscious decisions we made to exceed the allowances in the estimates. We don?t regret for a moment our choices of upgraded appliances (especially the dishwasher) and our beautiful floors. The same anecdotes of others? experiences with remodeling highlighted unresponsive workers, long and unexplained interruptions in the work, and other frustrations. We saw none of that. Your team could be relied upon to be here when they said. If curing time, suppliers, or the like would result in the team?s absence, we always knew exactly what was going on. As a site lead, we couldn?t have asked for better than Kenny who stayed on top of the details and made sure the subcontractors met your high standards. In sum, we picked the right contractor and would do it again in a heartbeat.
