We contacted the company based on the listing they had for the foreclosed houses. They assigned us an agent and she performed pretty well for the next two weeks as we have not signed the realty contract with them yet. She was able to find houses for us and took us around to show many properties. We were impressed and singed the contract for 3 months even though they wanted us to sign it for a year. I especially did not like the fee they were charging us. In this buyer market all other big name realties are actually giving a cash back to buyers. Once we signed the contract the agent did not do any active search for us based on our criteria. We, on our own, were searching and finding houses using public search web sites. I also provided the agent the list of the schools areas we were interested in. My hope was that the agency having direct access to MLS service would be able to find houses before those would hit the public web sites giving the advantage of being first to send out contract. On one occasion I think we lost a deal because of agent being slow in pursuing a short listed property with the bank. I would credit the agent for her punctuality as she was always available on weekend to show us the houses which we would select after doing our own search. She was professional and cordial in her dealing. She would ride with us to visit houses. Overall, I did not like the service not being aggressive enough and I had the feeling that the realty estate agency was NOT representing our interest fully.
