Response from The Arborist Inc
When obtaining proposals for service, there is a cost associated with handling the communication, scheduling a paid employees time and the expense of the transportation to make the house call to evaluate the situation for writing a cost proposal. If there is no sale, there is no way for a company to recuperate these costs other than to roll them into the revenues generated by other contracts. Though many offer free estimates, there is a cost that must be covered. We charge $47 for a certified arborist or board certified arborist to visit your house by appointment. We cannot gage your needs or explain the trees needs without a face to face discussion. If you have something simple, we may quote you a cost over the phone, but it will most likely be very close or the company minimums. This upfront cost of $47 will be credited on proposed work if there is any advised.

The Arborist was a "no show."
Description of Work: I spoke to Mr. DeCoste by telephone and he indicated he would visit our home to inspect the needed work and provide an estimate. He did not follow through. We recently called Tyson's Tree Service; Tyson responded in a timely manner, performed the work in a satisfactory manner, and charged a reasonable price.
