The crew arrived 15 minutes early and began immediately. They tarped our front yard and rear deck and carefully moved planters etc that could have been damaged. They had enough people to work efficiently, worked quickly and continuously until the roof was completed, cleaned up and moved our items back to their original locations. Within 5 hours we had a new roof! Would definitely recommend them to others.

Took a while to connect, but we had a lot of storm damage in the area. Once accepted, the workers did a professional job quickly, taking great care for the gardens around the structure. If I ever need roof repair again (and I hope I do not), these guys are the ones I will call.

I called and was told they might not be able to get to me until after the holiday, but I didn't even get a call to set up a time.

I spoke with Benny who provided answers to all my questions and arranged the work appointment. The job was completed by a very courteous, timely and friendly Summit work crew. From start to finish they were at my house for one day and the crew cleaned up the yard well after they completed the work. The whole experience was extremely easy and I am a very satisfied customer. I definitely recommend Summit and appreciate Benny?s and the Summit work crews fantastic customer service.

Contacted Summit about a week after Sandy passed through the Bristow area. I waited a week because I knew various repair businesses were going to be busy and probably would not be able to look at my home problem quickly. Upon calling Summit, I explained to the receptionist everything that was wrong with my garage because of the storm. The receptionist understood what I was saying and indicated that they can handle the work but will require a person to come out to look everything over and provide a cost estimate.She did state that they were very busy and I would have to be placed on a waiting list which was fine. After a few calls back to the company to find out when they will have a person come out to give an estimate I eventually received a call from one of their technicians. We made the appointment for Saturday due to my long work hours during the week. Again, I am cool with all this beginning process because I understood that things are busy with companies doing repairs. Ok, so Saturday arrived and the tech came out. After I showed the tech all the problems the storm had caused to my garage both inside and outside, the tech immediately said that they can't help. They don't do that type of repair work, just complete roofing or siding install. I was extremely suprised and annoyed to hear this. The tech did look at the shingles over the garage and siding/windows all above the garage and pointed out that caulking was needed to possibly fix the issue. Well what about the loose shingles or the panels that the siding is nailed onto being damaged require replacement? Answer: sorry we don't handle these things. Well I wish they told me this from the beginning when I called because now it's another week I am trying to locate someone else to fix my garage roofing/siding issues. I guess if I had to do a complete roofing or siding replacement that they may be a good contact but definitely not for repairs due to a storm unless it's a complete overall/replacement.

I contacted 4 roofing contractors for estimates. Summit responded the fastest and had the lowest price. They were also very responsive to all my questions in the estimating process and pre-installation. On the install day, they came in just before 8am and completed the full roof installation by 1/2pm. In that time, they also replaced several sheets of plywood. We were pleased with the finished product.

The repair was performed on the date/time agreed upon and weathered Hurricane Sandy successfully. I fully endorse Summit Roofing.

Great experience. They really have this process down pat. They worked quickly, efficiently and did a solid job. We had people walking by to watch them put the roof on. People couldn't believe how fast they were working and how beautiful the work was. I don't think I ever saw them take a break. We have received so many compliments on the roof and have recommended Summit to many. 6 years later the roof is still beautiful.

I had contacted 4 or 5 other roofing companies before calling Summit Roofing. Joe was extremely cordial, responsive and gave me an estimate within 24 hours. Not only was his estimate among the lowest I received, but he even gave me a choice of roofing shingles. The job was going to be done the week after I signed my contract with Summit, which happened to be when I was going to be out of the country. Joe told me not to worry about it and that everything would be ready by the time I got back. I came back a week later to a brand new roof. Gutters were cleaned, and the entire area was spotless. Summit Roofing did not require any deposit prior to the work being done, and accepts credit cards without charging an additional fee (unlike others that do require 50% down and/or a 3% charge for credit card transactions). So it's a great way to accumulate miles without paying extra for them. The test came 2 weeks later when we had hurricane Sandy. I was very worried about shingles coming off, or finding new leaks in the house, but I was very pleased to report that the roof was intact. Kudos to the installation crew for such a good job securing my roof, and to the shingle manufacturer for such a good product. I highly recommend Summit Roofing from many different perspectives - pricing, quality, responsiveness, durability and convenience.

Recently had the roof on my house and an addition completely replaced. The representative was extremely helpful in identifying and selecting the correct materials. The materials were delivered before the work was to begin so there were no delays when the crew arrived at 7:30 AM to begin work. The crew was pleasant and easy to work with, and got the job done with no problems. I am pleased with both the final results and cost. I am definitely a very happy customer and would highly recommend Summit Roofing to others.

We contacted Summit for a siding repair. We had previously used them for a roofing job several years ago and were very satisfied. After calling them and leaving our phone number with the office we didn't receive a call back. Called a week later and were told that they were very busy due to the storm damage and would get to us soon. After another week or so, stopped by their office and again was told they would get in touch with us. Never received a call from them at any time. Not good business at all...very disappointing that Summit is that unprofessional.

Called Summit Roofing on the advice of a friend that had just used them. I live in Chantilly, VA and they are based in Manassas, VA. My friend lives in Ashburn VA. On his recommendation I called and spoke to Joe Ortiz. He said he would come out and take a look and give me an estimate. Gave him my address and he went right out the same day and took a look at what needed to be done. Joe worked up the estimate and sent it to me electronically the same day I called. I sent him an email telling him I had a coupon from Angie's list and he said they would apply that. to the estimate The estimate was well written and stated all the specifications and estimates. I was having the driveway replaved and called and told him this, to wait until he heard from me to come out. I called to let him know they driveway was ready to be driven on and he came out the next day. No sign that he had even been there except for a brand new spanking roof. No mess at all, nothing damaged around the shed (and I have alot of plants on one side of that shed). Friendly, fast, clean. Wonderful to deal with. Recommend to all.

We had a small leak in our family room during hard rainstorms, plus some missing shingles in a different area. My co-worker mentioned he was planning to get work done by Summit, so I looked here and saw the high ratings, so I called them. Their estimator/tech Luis arrived right on time, and quickly found where he thought the leak was. He also did a full roof inspection and found a couple of other issues. He took pictures while up there to show me the details. We hadn't had the roof inspected, let alone repaired, since we moved here in 2004, so it didn't surprise me. They came out the week after to do the repair, and Luis confirmed that the area he looked as was definitely leaking. They replaced some of the plywood, added some flashing, and reshingled the area. They also added some flashing in a different area, replaced a vent pipe boot, and fixed the missing shingles. So far so good....the leak hasn't come back. All throughout, Luis left me voicemails, letting me know the status. He was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done. We've probably got another 8-10 years before we'll need think about replacing the roof, but when we do, Summit will be at the top of our list. Total estimated was $850 minus the 10% Angie's List coupon.

Summit was a pleasure to deal with. Came on time to give an estimate, and arrived on time to perform work. Excellend quality and workmanship. Friendly and professional employees.

Summit was much faster than the company my insurance company uses. In fact, Summit was able to dispatch someone to provide an estimate, make an appointment, and make the repairs well before I received my estimate from the other company. Price was in line with the other estimate.

Very Professional. Did an awesome job replacing the roof including some repair work. The roof looks great. The process was painless. Great price. Well below other quote that we received.

I received a half dozen estimates for the repair of my leaky roof ranging from $1700 to $5,200. (no lie)My house is relatively new. I didn't want to replace the roof, I just wanted it repaired.Some of the double talk I received trying to justify these prices was mind-numbing. Eventually I was given the name of Summit Roofing by a friend and called for an estimate. They advised me that the repair was a straightforward one and could be done for $475. I thought there must be some sort of catch.No catch...they described to a "T" the repair as I researched it on the internet. I even called the company a few days after getting my estimate to make sure we were on the same page.One of the company representatives patiently explained the repair to me and I was confident I was getting what I needed. No double talk. No repairman hype. Just no-nonsense repair advice...this is what's wrong and this is how we'll fix it.I'm happy to report the repair was done professionally and without any hassle. (a rarity in this area)Each roofing company that I had called beforehand gave dozen of reasons why the repair was so expensive. Some words of advice, I was shocked at the variation in estimates for a straightforward repair.After each estimate I felt like I was being ripped off. Not until I got the estimate from Summit Roofing did I get the right vibe.For the record, my comments are completely unsolicited. I would say if you don't give these guys (Summit Roofing) a chance to address your roofing needs you're doing yourselfa serious disservice. These guys exceeded my expectations in all ways.

After getting estimates from several contractors to replace our roof and gutters we chose Summit Roofing Contractors, Inc. Why? After measuring the roof and gutters, Mr. Ortiz, the company estimator, thoroughly outlined what was involved in replacing both the roof and gutters. He answered our questions fully. Based on quality of material, Mr. Ortiz, by email, provided us with three different estimates, for replacing the roof. He also provided two estimates for replacing the gutters, based on the size of the replacement gutters. On pricing the estimates were some of the best we had received. Mr. Ortiz did not try to steer us to any particular estimate. Because we had options we felt good about the estimates we eventually chose and price paid. A few days after the roofing material was delivered the work crew came and replaced the roof. The roof was replaced in one day. They did a first rate job replacing the roof and removing the debris. A few days later the gutter crew came and replaced the gutters. The final cost of both jobs was the estimated cost less a ten percent discount. I am very satisfied with the work performed by Summit Roofing Contractors, Inc. I would definitely use the company again. I highly recommend them.

We got a complete roof and gutter replacement. We got estimates for this work from about 10 different contractors. We chose Summit Roofing because out of what we determined to be the top 3 rated (on Angies List and Checkbook and other rating services) contractors that gave us an estimate (such as Pond roofing and St. Josephs), Summit offered the best price. Though other highly rated companies did offer better prices, we did not feel that their work would have been as well done. Overall we had a great experience with them. The only negative part of it was the lack of timely responsiveness. We did not have a hard deadline for when we needed the work done, and they told us that the roof work would get done within 3 weeks and that the gutter work would be done within a few days afterward. They did schedule the roof work for within about 3-4 weeks after signing the contract, however, the gutter work did not begin until about another month later. During that time, I received a voicemail that the gutter work would be about a week late, and when I wasn?t contacted within a week, I tried contacting my main point of contact at Summit several times without a response. Eventually I spoke to the office and was assured they would come soon and they did indeed come a day later. The lack of responsiveness began soon after major storm that knocked power out of the area for a week plus, so I believe that they got inundated with roof and gutter repair requests and were unable to meet all the demands in a timely manner. So my perception is that they are a really good company, but are at that juncture that any small contracting business finds themselves: keeping good quality work, yet still trying to meet a high demand. The project manager who I spoke to when they gave me an estimate, as well as the foremen who did both the roof and gutter work were very open to answering my questions about the work and responding to my requests for this or that. I am no expert on roof or gutter work, but from what I can see as of now, the work all looks very well done. After work was complete, the company sent me a document (along with the bill) asking me to contact them if I had any concerns. After inspecting the work closely, I contacted them about some minor yet specific concerns and got a response pretty quickly. They are supposed to come and take a look soon. Also, I had a couple of small concerns with the bill, and without delay they appeased my concerns without argument, which was great. One very good thing is that they did not ask for any payment until ALL the work was completed. In fact, they did not send me a bill until a couple of weeks after the work was completed. I would definitely use Summit again if the need arises.

Awful! Called Summit Roofing for an estimate for a small roof repair job. They never returned my call. I have found this to be a problem with many companies that receive good ratings on Angies List. They get so busy that they only want to do the big jobs and ignore the small jobs that got them the good ratings to begin with. If you need someone for a small roof repair (or a completely new roof), I wouldn't bother with these folks. I ended up using Katchmark and they were wonderful.

This was an excellent experience. The crew was professional and they worked very hard to get the job done correctly. The materials are first rate and they did all the small things like replacing vents that were old and dated. The clean-up was thorough and they left the house looking as neat as it was before they arrived. I had four estimates and their price was the low bid, but others I know had worked with them and recommended them highly. They also honored the coupon from Angies List which saved me over seven hundred dollars!

Company fixed the roof flushing caps that were cracked and had caused interior water damage. Company was very professional and attended to my needs, which was fixing the caps in a very short time frame. The company gave estimate of cost on one day, which I approved, then came back and did repair the next day. This was great because the reparing of the interior damage was scheduled to start two days after they fixed the caps. Great company and I will use them again!!

I researched roofers and found vast differences in quotes and responses to my requests for quotes. When asking some contractors about specifics such as cleaning gutters, not in the proposal, their response was that is common sense... we do that. Essentially, I went with the Summit because they were the most realistic in price compared to the other quotes, they responded to all my questions, and I had a gut feeling they would get the job done I need without unforeseen changes.
