I contacted Steve on March 19th to make an appointment to meet and discuss the project. We planned to meet the following day. He showed up as planned and we went over the details. Steve told me he would get back to me with a proposal within a week. 10 days later (a Sunday), he texted me saying he was still working on the quote and would have a plan by that coming Tuesday. By then, since I hadn't heard from him, I had already decided to go with another contractor to do the window trim work, and instead asked that he focus his efforts on the powder room wainscoting and the room divider trim. Steve agreed, and proposed to come over with the plan 4 days later, on that coming Thursday. We agreed on meeting at 5:30 pm. On the Thursday that we were supposed to meet, Steve sent me a text in the morning saying the time wasn't going to work for him anymore, and proposed meeting the next day. I had a conflict and could not meet that Friday, so I proposed we meet on that Sunday instead. We agreed to meeting at 2:00 pm. Two hours before he was supposed to show up that Sunday, he texted me saying he couldn't make it again, because he had a deadline on another project, and asked if we could meet later the following week. I told him I was not interested in playing this game, and told him to just forget it, and wished him well. He responded in a very rude way, as though I was the one who had inconvenienced him somehow. I have worked with enough contractors to know when to spot the warning signs. If you can't respect a client's time and stick to a commitment when you're trying to impress them during the sales process, there is no way you're going to value their time after you've already taken their money.
Description of Work: Requested estimate for adding decorative casings to 14 windows and 2 doors, wainscoting and baseboard trim for a powder room and decorative trim around two room dividers. Never received a quote.

The cabinets look beautiful! Steve is very detailed and takes real pride in his work! While he was there, he also fixed our lazy susan and a hole we had around one of our windows! : ) Steve is trustworthy and does a really great job--I have referred him to others and would definitely use him again!
Description of Work: Steve recently helped us redo our kitchen. He built "faux" cabinets to go above the ones we already had and a custom cabinet to replace a "desk" for dog food storage. He put trim and "feet" on our existing cabinets and put wainescoting on the end caps and island. Then he painted our oak cabinets white.
