I had a very positive experience. I thought they did a fine job. I was very satisfied with their work. I would absolutely recommend them to others. Bill Marshall, the owner was on site almost the entire time. I am retired, so I was on site the entire time, and I observed everything they did. He was gone for very short periods of time. He was on the ground most of the time, and when he saw something that he thought he wanted to check out that they were doing on the roof, he would go up and check it out. In a couple of instances he asked them to do it over because he thought they hadn't done it properly. They cleaned up the mess every time they left.

I had two friends that used them before and I got a referral from another acquaintance. They were really good about their clean up after the tear off. They came through with a magnet to make sure there were no nails or anything. They talked to me about what they were going to do and went through and explained what wood they were going to replace and why they were going to replace it. The communication was great and the people were very pleasant. They came in, did the job and got everything done within two days. It went very smooth and I got a lifetime roof. I will use them again in the future.

We plan to live in this home for many years and just wanted a quality job for a fair price. We weren't looking to cut corners. He came referred to us from a neighbor. He did a great job. He even painted the vent and HVAC chimney pipes to match the color we selected from the roof. He also has a great eye for color and did a great job helping us pick something that looks good with our brick color. Samples were brought to our home in advance for color selection options. All the flashings were replaced along the chimney etc. He was about $2000 cheaper than Pond roofing and offered a higher grade roof than his competitors. But he wasn't our cheapest estimate. I like that all his crew is his own and master roofers trained by Certainteed. He offered his license and insurance info with his written estimate, which I really appreciated not having to ask for it. So he's professional and knows his craft of 30 some years. He spent many hours on the phone with us and in person making sure we got just what we wanted and what we could afford. There was never any sales pressure and he did everything exactly as he said he would. Bill was on the job himself each day and on the roof watching the crew. I appreciate that he doesn't use subs. They cleaned up everything and were considerate of our time line. So in summary, he's very professional and knows what he's doing and didn't take advantage of us. I've already referred him to two friends. You just need to know he will not travel to Alexandria as he has a lot of work closer to Mannassas and he won't repair anything he didn't install himself. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

No problems whatsoever. Came to give estimate and show shingle samples as scheduled. Did job quickly and neatly. Very pleased with end result and would highly recommend the company.

The guy subcontracted the gutter work and he supervised the whole project. The price was fair; maybe a little on the high side but he was always communicative and always talked to me. He was on the ball. He did things by email. He was out here 90 percent of the time walking around and giving his guys orders and double-checking their work, which was a pretty good way of doing things. He didn't actually do any of the work but he had a bunch of guys and he was always pacing around and double-checking. I felt like I was getting my money's worth. He had so much work to do and he was really busy but a friend had recommended him so he said he would come out and do the job.

We moved into our 1971 rambler in July 2010. At our home inspection, we were told by our inspector the roof was good for 3-5 more years at least, but after speaking with our new neighbors we found out the home had leaks and sloppy repairs done. So we called 6 roofing companies in the area to give us an assessment of what was going on up there. They all pretty much gave us the same explanation, holes near the pipe collars, soft areas and double layer shingles that overlapped horribly on the front of our house. We had a leak over our garage, the attic fan was broke, there was no ridge vent and our attic was horribly hot 24/7, which made the trusses sweat. Not the answer we were hoping for. They all came in around the same price initially but needed an additional 5k to replace all the decking whether it needed it or not. Bill was not that way, his estimate was in the middle of some of the other bigger companies, he could have added all the extra costs, but he didn't. Signature roofing was the last roofing company we had called for an estimate. I read his reviews and got his number from Angie's List. My husband spoke with Bill Marshall (the owner) over an hour after he conducted his initial assessment of the roof. He took his time and explained everything to us, he even suggested using Pewter shingles to bring out the color of our shutters. No one else recommended that to us. Bill listened to our story, excessive questions and gripes and seemed genuinely concerned. He made us feel comfortable about his services. We signed a contract with him to replace our roof and fix everything described above. Even though it was an unexpected purchase, we definitely had no buyers remorse! The first day his crew showed up on time and worked diligently and efficiently all day long, the second day was the same. They were all extremely courteous and after each work day Bill stayed back to talk with us on the day's progression and answered any questions or concerns we had. They even took the time to paint our pipe collars black to blend in with the rest of the roof (they really paid attention the the little details.) The ridge vent is almost invisible, unless you really look close you can't even tell its there! The last thing they did was replaced the screens in our gutters and they even thoroughly cleaned out any debris we had in there. It has made a huge difference, we can barely hear it rain and our attic can finally breathe. Our roof looks absolutely beautiful, our neighbors have stopped by to tell us how great it looks. I cannot rave enough about Bill and his company. He stays on site the whole time and backs up his work with an unbeatable warranty, more than any other roofing company we had estimates for. He treated us like family and I highly recommend him to everyone I know in the market for a roof!

Great work! This is the first time I've replaced a roof; Signature Roofing exceeded my expectations. The owner, Bill, is very professional, friendly, courteous and excellent at communicating. I found the written proposal concise, detailed and specific. Although roofing is dependent on the weather, Bill kept me informed of scheduling and the crew arrived on time. The crew are efficient, knowledgeable and polite. They even paused working so I could fix interior duct work by the eaves. Bill ensured that I saw and understood everything the crew was doing from replacing the damaged plywood to the finishing touches. The job was finished in 2 days as estimated even though the garage's roof was damaged more then originally thought. They even painted all the bathroom exhaust vents to match the shingles. The finished product looks spectacular!

Bill did the inspection and suprised me by saying I did not need a new roof yet but only needed minor roof repairs. He provided me a detailed list of repairs and an estimate. Months later when I was ready to do the repair, he had a backlog of other work so he recommended another contractor (Ron French Improvements). I ultimately used the other contractor and he did an excellent job at a good price. I feel like I made out on this deal and appreciate Signature Roofings honexty and integrity.

We got three estimates. We liked the positive comments that they had on Angie's List. I liked their presentation. He was professional. I liked that they have a permanent crew. Since they put a new roof on no weather related problems have come up. The clean up was thorough. My neighbor has used them since.

Very well. I called and left message on voicemail and had prompt reply. Arrived exactly at agreed time. Missing shingle replaced as well as others I had not spotted and at the same price. Good explanation given of how to apply shingle properly to avoid problems with high winds.

They were excellent. I can't recommend using them enough. They were honest, competent, and very efficient. The owner came every day with his crew to make sure they were getting the job done right. They made sure they left our house looking spectacular. The owner is detail oriented and has a great eye for aesthetics.

The owner Bill Marshall did the estimate. He explained things clearly and his written proposal was clear and precise with no negative surprises. Mr. Marshall worked with us in picking out the best shingle for our home. Work was started on time and finished on time. Mr. Marshall seemed to be on site about 90% of the time. Questions and concerns were addressed very well. His crew was pleasant and seemed most efficient. Plants and furniture were protected. Cleanup was thorough.

A roof is one of those home improvements that you hope you don't have to do too often. Bill and his crew were exceptional in what they did. They did their best to repair some structure and alignment issues that were clearly present when the old roof was removed. This is a good company, with good management and supervision at the work site and very professional crews. When completed I found only two pieces of trash, in one of my bushes, from the entire job. Billing was right on, each sheet of plywood was a little less than other roofers and upgrading to architectural shingles was significantly less expensive than others.

We were without gutters for many years. My only regret is that I didn't call him earlier to do the work. His crew did an outstanding job. I have had many neighbors comment on how good the gutters look. I would rehire Bill to do any roof or gutter job.

This dates to August 2005. Mr. Marshall's estimate was less than several others. He did the job on the day promised and accomplished it all in one day, as he said he would. His is a small company and he was on site. The result was exactly what I was looking for. He was frank with me when he did the estimate that the roof was still serviceable, but it did have some wear and tear and at least one small leak. In anticipation of a move in the not-too-distant future, I wanted a new roof put on. Clean-up was about as perfect as you could expect. When Mr. Marshall tells you something, you can put faith in it. I've already recommended his company to a neighbor.
