Way overpriced and rude sales person. They talked negative about every other company as if Servpro was the only company that does things "the right way." They were going to do more work than was actually needed in order to raise their prices. This company did not have any integrity and attempted to take advantage of our family in our time of need. Servpro might provide good work, but they were not honest or reliable for us. I'll never call Servpro again unless they make some serious changes. One of the first changes should be with removing Project Manager Justin Ballas from the Richmond/ Chester/ Tri- Cities office.

I know I had to put a deductible of $500. The whole basement was flooded. They worked on the carpet and help me move my books and  furniture. They put 2 holes in the ceiling to get to the pipes. The water did drop on the carpet, they floor boarded the area. The was the one gripe I had about Servpro. Because when everything was being done they said they would clean everything. Part of was me sort of blowing them off, I said to them I still need to get the Jenkins guys in here. It never happen. It was fine. I wasn't terribly pissed. I end up doing it with family anyway. The thing that just blew me away was Servpro was out here within an hour and a half actually when it happen. It happen like about 8:00 o'clock that night and they got there by 10:00 o'clock, start scraping all of that crap. They left by 2:30 in the morning.

The cost was covered by our home owners insurance. I felt they did some overkill with the mold remediation; removing and replacing all of our hardwood floors from our kitchen through the hallway to the front door and also removing 2 of our kitchen cabinets to repair them. When they took the 2 cabinets down they lost the molding for the top of one of them and they said they were not responsible for that and did not replace the molding. One of the machines they were using they left sitting on our carpet without any protection under it and it stained the carpet, which in turn they had to replace that as well then. They repaired the water damage and got rid of the mold but I was not happy with the service overall. I did not like the cabinet sub they used. The carpet and flooring sub they used were good. Next time I would take the check from the insurance company and hire out people myself. I felt for a minor problem they did an overkill of work and if insurance had not been covering this it would have been extremely expensive for me.

On January 26, which may have been one of the coldest nights in Jan., around 7:00 pm my neighbor's sprinkler pipe busted. Water was flowing out of their house like a waterfall. The house was vacant so I had to call the Homeowners association. The fire department broke into the house and about 2 hrs later the water was finally shut off. Because I live in a condominium and share walls with my neighbor part of my house got flooded. SERVPRO of North Prince William County was call and came to my house right away. The team was very professional. They came in and accessed the damage took pictures, drew a diagram of the area showing where the damage was. They made sure that everything was documented. They had to remove some of the drywall and carpet but they clean up after themselves there was no nails left or any pieces of drywall. I would recommend Servpro of Prince William County for any fire and water - cleanup and restoration job.

We had had a leak in a water pipe between the walls of our kitchen and powder room. When the plumber came to fix the leak, he discovered mold on the interior of the drywall. We called Servpro to come and get rid of the molded wall and the floor tiles that were coming up because of the leak. They did come and remove all of the damaged areas and cleaned up thoroughly any mess that they had made. They had to leave their dryers and dehumidifiers for six days to take care of any remaining sources of moisture. All in all, they did good work. Their only drawback was their lack of promptness. If you don't mind waiting, they are good.

Servpro's team came on a Saturday and set up multiple blowers and dehumidifiers and an electrically-heated floor mat to dry out wooden flooring near our home's entrance that had been saturated by a leaking waste pipe from a second floor bath. We endured four days of horrible noise from the fans -- keeping our kids awake, ruining every conversation, spoiling the holiday season -- and then they came to check on the floor. They informed us at that point that the drying mat -- which was the heart of this work -- had not been turned on, and that the floor remained as saturated as before. In short, they completely wasted our time, while the machine rentals were accruing daily fees in the hundreds of dollars. We fired them, and have hired Servicemaster to do the work -- it gets far better reviews here, by the way. They denied leaving the floor mat off, but we wondered if it was deliberate, as part of an effort by them to jack up the rental fees by prolonging the work. A manager claimed to have a picture of the machine turned on, but mysteriously could not access the picture on his computer when I asked him to e-mail it. We concluded, reasonably, that this crew and this franchise was either incompetent or deceptive and untrustworthy. AVOID WASTING YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!

They did a good job up until we contracted with them to do some additional work, and then things fell into pieces. We had a terrible ice dam took out a couple of rooms, drywalls, and insulation. When they were working on that, they did a superior job. They came in and did the mold retardant. When they were doing that, I was going to do hardwood floors upstairs anyway rather than put carpeting back down in some of these areas, I had them do the hardwood floors in the hall and install new wooden stairs to replace the carpet. That job was not satisfactory. I wasn't really happy with the product they put in. Then I had stairs ripped down at the same time and got carpeting out through the stairs. The stairway was not satisfactory at all, and that is where they will get not such good marks.
They did a really good job with the initial work or insulation, drywall and painting. Most of the work was covered under insurance, and I have $1000 deductible for that. They were overpriced for flooring, and carpeting job. The carpet cleaning that they did was good; but when it came to the flooring, and the stairs were not good. I had to call them back because there was supposed to be several coats of varnish. They did not have the promised finish. They were so rough that if I wentt down the stairs barefoot, my socks hung up on the stairs. They charged quite a bit for the flooring and carpeting job. The guy in the middle who was supposed to make it all happen, went on the vacation; while the guys who were actually going to lay the flooring were sitting idle and waiting for the work to do. I was sitting here waiting for the work to be done. The guy who was the head of the company was the problem. He was a big, fast talker. The poor guys who were under him, and were doing the work, were good.

Everything was clearly explained, planned for, and done as described.

The customer service was the best I have ever experienced. Questions were concisely but immediately addressed, and the tone was that of a partner willing to go the extra step, if needed. It validated our going with this company as opposed to a couple others we tried to contact, which we were told would be less expensive. The experiece with this ServPro company made the potentially higher cost a non-issue.

The professionalism of the job--from containment quality (commented upon by the hygenist), to the work performed, to explaining the process and trying to minimize damage and discomfort was top notch. When they had to remove more of the flooring and ceiling than previously planned, they let us see where and how and were able to save the crown molding they first said would need to be removed.

ServPro was responsive and flexible in setting times for estimates and the work to be done. I thought the price was a little high, but was pleased that they would work directly with my insurance company (USAA) to pay the bill. One day they were later than their set appointment time, but they did call to say they were running late. Overall it was a good experience.

There was a smoke problem, as the lights went off one day and I lit a bunch of candles which caused the problem. My brand new heating pump did an excellent job by circulating the soot throughout the house. The crew that came out cut short their early part of their business, as they had to leave early. They left early on the first 2 days and worked for 12 hours on the last day. I wanted them to clean certain areas in my house first like the bedroom which was the worst damaged room. However, they wasted their time in cleaning the easier areas and there were also some communication problems. They were extremely expensive, but did a good job. My insurance provider took care of the cost. Initially they told me that the price would be around 10000 $, but it was more by the time they did everything that they had to do. I felt that the price was very high to just clean the house. We still haven't got our house painted. They were professional and I would probably use their services in the future.

I discovered standing water in my father's basement 24 hours after the deluge from Tropical Storm Hanna. I put in a call to ServPro on a Sunday and was able to get a definite appointment for Tuesday. The team arrived later than scheduled, which was understandable given the number of wet basements in the area. Two guys worked from 7-9pm clearing wet items out of the basement, setting up fans, and disinfecting the floor. They came back the next morning and cleared out more wet items, cleaned and disinfected floor. There was lots of paperwork to sign, but the workers were courtesy and good humored throughout the ordeal, which helped us get through it as well. Would use them again. It would have taken me weeks to do what they did in hours.
