Ross came to my house and thoroughly walked the property with me while I went over my concerns about several trees on the property. He provided great suggestions and gave me a very fair quote. Work was completed in one day about a week and a half later. Overall great experience!

Great team, fast work, and excellent skill in handling and maneuvering around difficult lots. They've got a packed schedule, but they're prompt and responsive with sorting out scheduling and getting crews out to work on time. Mr. Ross is super knowledgeable about trees and plants and has an eye for detail and problems that other people would easily overlook, and is honest about his and his company's work. Highly recommended for tree work in matters both big and small. We've already worked with them once before, and we're happy after this second time to have them come out again when we need them to.

Process started out well with a good consultation and recommendations. I specifically needed expertise in some crepe myrtles that had never been trimmed as well as the health of a cherry tree that I was interested in keeping healthy. The work crew did a great job. The checked everything off the list. They were professional, fast, and efficient. Will keep these guys for annual trims and tree work

The owner came to my home very promptly to give me an estimate. He was direct and gave me a firm bid with options and explained everything. It was a big job that required a crane in a tight spot with limited access but near my home. The crew was on time, extremely professional and courteous, they consulted me as needed and cleaned up very well. My mailbox and the post had to be removed to get the crane up my driveway. So, with my approval, it was removed. I went to put it back later on my own and they rushed down to assure me they would do that. They did and even that was done right. You can’t go wrong by hiring Ross.

Ross' staff were very professional and were very quick to provide an estimate. Their arborist even provided some advice on some adjacent trees on my HOA's property that might affect my home. The crew that conducted the trimming was fast and completed the work uneventfully while I was at work. I'd hire again if needed.

The whole process was very easy; after calling to schedule, they were actually able to come out the next day since they were in the area. The staff was very professional and took care to not damage some fragile beds and plantings. Two of the trees were very close to the fenceline, and everything was taken down expertly. One tree was a very large dead tree and it also was taken down skillfully. Everything was cleaned up very neatly; we had asked if they could also take a brush pile, which they did. We chose not to have the stumps ground as the trees were all in the backyard. Overall, an excellent experience and would hire again.

Good. I received estimates from several companies. Pricing ranged from $700 to $900 so I first agreed to go with the company who offered the $700 price. They were to put me on their schedule the following week. That was back in July. That company never showed up, even after a follow-up call. So I decided to go with Ross Tree Service. With all the rain and storms we've had I thought it would take some time for them to get me on their schedule since my work was not an emergency, but they came out the following week. They trimmed back most of my front tree but they needed to come back with a bucket truck to trim down the top of the tree. They came back today to finish the work and they did a nice job. My tree looks pretty bare right now, but I know it will grow back and I won't have to worry about branches falling off this winter. I also won't have to do much leaf raking this fall either. The crew did the job pretty quickly and cleaned up the yard and parking area when they were done. I would use them again the next time I need work done on my tree.

I had contracted for a number of things to be removed and some remaining trees to be properly trimmed out. The work that was completed initially was excellent. Unfortunately, removal of some shrubs was missed (they came when I was not at home - common for this kind of service). Getting them rescheduled to complete the work took weeks - meanwhile, I can't get a landscaper in to start replanting the landscape. Their work quality is excellent - the scheduling issues not so much.

The arborist came on May 10; he was awesome! I called within an hour of him leaving to schedule an appointment for our large tree to be trimmed. They said they would call with the time. Two weeks later, I had not heard anything so I called again. They said I was "on the board". One month later, I called again and they said, due to the rain, they were behind and I was "on the board". A week later, they called and scheduled my appointment for two days later. On that date, they called an hour before the appointment and said it was too hot to come. When I asked when I would be rescheduled, the receptionist said she would ask the scheduler. I heard nothing so I called 2 days later and was told I was "on the board". I asked why I was back on the board when I had been scheduled and they cancelled I asked to speak to the scheduler; they never called me. I waited another two weeks and called and they said "on the board" again. I again asked to speak to the scheduler but they never called me. I then called another company and they came and did the work. I received a call on August 2 at 11:13 am (13 weeks later) saying they could come that afternoon and do the tree. I guess they thought I was just sitting around every day hoping for a call. I told them the work had been done. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!

They gave me a detailed written estimate within a couple of days of my request, exactly as advertised. Price was comparable to other companies. They followed up but were not pushy while we received other offers. They were able to come out quickly (I think we got lucky because bad weather was backing up their work orders). They did exactly what we asked for - removed a small tree and trimmed multiple trees in our front and back yard to get them off of the house and fence, and get some sun on our lawn. The work crew did a great job - the yard looks much better and the trees are off the house and still look very healthy. They completely cleaned up after themselves and left the yard looking nice. I would definitely recommend them and I will hire them again next time I need similar work done.

We had several large trees that needed trimming and one that needed to be removed because it was growing into our deck. Within a couple days after first contact they came by and gave us a written estimate. Not the cheapest alternative we had but I think you get what you pay for. They were quick, professional, and they did great work. They got the branches off of our house, brightened up the yard and the trees still look full and healthy. I would definitely hire them again.

The crew did an excellent job; one of the trees was very large and leaning in a very bad way across our drive way. The company and crew were very professional and very competent. We previously used this company several years ago and had the same outstanding service. We highly recommend this company.

slaes rep was prompt in calling , arrived at time other then scheduled (day earlier) while another bidder was working site. gave bid, good price and I was pleased with the expected completion time of within the week. office called to confirm and suddenly they are "weeks out" , and someone would call to schedule. they never returned calls. clearly over promise, under deliver is their motto. I would avoid them .

It took them over a week to get back to me to schedule the initial appointment for estimation. After deciding that the estimate was in our budget we decided to proceed with their quote later that day and called to schedule service. We wanted to get the tree removed before we left for vacation, and I made this known to the scheduler. I was told I'd get a call back to schedule service. Several days passed and I never received a call back until yesterday morning they said a crew would be in our area and would be on site later that day. When I pressed them to get a time range, they could not offer me any specifics. Because they were being so flakey, I chose to work from home to oversee the work. No one ended up coming. I called them twice this morning and finally someone called back and said they would have a crew here today. So I chose to work from home for a second day in a row. To my surprise, Dan Ross showed up... without a crew to do any of the work. Dan was rude and unprofessional and would not speak to me about the mixup and offered no help. As the owner of the company, I expected him to be concerned about a customer who had a poor customer service experience, but he wasn't. About 20 minutes after he left, their office called to apologize and offered a poor excuse for their lack of communication. I will never use them again.

Very well, the maple tree looks great and they ground out the stump of the ash tree. They were far less expensive than what it cost some of my neighbors to have their ash trees taken down.

Not done. I called and left messages 2 times and no one returned my calls. Finally after the 3rd message I got a call back--I was scheduled for an estimate but the guy never showed (I was given a 2 hour window.) I will call another tree service.

Called for Daniel Ross the arborist to come reevaluate a large tree in front yard. Last June 2017 a large branch had split off across my front yard and driveway. The branch covered the sidewalk, part of the street, and knocked over my mailbox. He pointed out where the tree had joint problems and suggested treatment to try and save the tree. It was a large maple and very full, giving shade to front of house and side deck. This spring half of the tree did not have leaves or leaf buds. Daniel Ross came back and agreed that the tree was not healthy and needed removal. I signed a work order on Friday 5/4/18 to have the tree removed. Expected to have it done the following week, but called Friday 5/11/18 and was told my tree was not on the schedule yet. Told Tracey how worried I was because of the weather forecasts for storms and the tree was half dead. Monday 5/14/18 Tracey called just before 10 am and said the crew would be at my house shortly, they were on their way. By 10:20 am they were here and at work. The equipment included a large chipper/shredder for the smaller leafy branches, a small bulldozer to move the large logs to a large open truck, and a bucket truck. One man in the bucket worked from the top of the tree down with ropes on the parts being cut to control their fall. Men on the ground moved branches to chipper/shredder and cut up larger logs to move to the larger truck. The work went very smoothly and they were finished and the front yard cleaned up by 12:30 pm. Later in the day there thunder storms, rain, and high wind gusts in the area and I was relieved that the large tree was not a danger to my house or anyone walking or driving by. The price was higher than my neighbors had paid another tree service to take down a tree in their front yard but they did not have the equipment that Ross Tree Service has and their tree took a full day to get down where Ross got my tree down (which was taller) in approximately 4 hours.

Sent a message through Angie's List on 5/7. No response. Followed up with a phone call and left a voicemail on 5/9. Received a message through Angie's on 5/10, asking me to call. I responded that I left a voicemail the day prior, and to please respond in kind. Due to the failure to respond to voicemail or email, I hired another company on 5/12. Company finally called the afternoon of 5/14. Hopefully they are more responsive to other users, but I found their lack of response to be concerning.

Contacted them to remove a large scrub pine that we were afraid would come down in the next wind storm. Dan Ross came out to provide a quote and was very knowledgeable and thorough. Service was scheduled for the next week. There was some confusion with the office about which day exactly, but it worked out. They cut down the tree and removed the wood.
