Agreed to price for tree removal and told I was put on the schedule.....Never came. Two phone calls to the office and was given the run around.

The owner, Daniel Ross, completed the inspection and provided excellent information about the tree's health. He was knowledgable and professional. He listened to my questions and provided me with suggestions on handling trimming and removal of problem roots. I was very satisfied with the inspection and plan to use this company to do the trimming work on this tree.

Team of 4 shows up with truck that has aerial lift. They worked quickly and carefully on a couple projects at once. I asked for some mulch and they took a few extra minutes to provide that at no extra cost.

Ross was prompt, thorough, and reasonably priced. The arborist was knowledgeable, and talked us through not only the demise of our weeping cherry tree, but also offered feedback on several other trees that had been previously poorly trimmed. We actually set up a second service call, to prune, shape several trees and feed several large spruce trees. Very competent, punctual and professional. We'll use Ross again, whenever the need arises.

The arborist who came was extremely knowledgable and did a great job of explaining th types of trees / bushes, their current state, and what could be done by us or them. The quote for all the work came way in under expected, so we are scheduling for the rest of the work to be done.

Dan Ross, the owner, came by my house the evening of the same day that I called. I had my eye on four trees that I thought needed to come down, and he and I took a walk around my property and identified three additional trees that were dying or that were otherwise threatening our house. Dan is clearly knowledgeable about trees, and was happy to explain the details behind his suggestions, as well as the process and best time and conditions for removing the trees. They had to wait until the weather was dry before they could bring a bucket truck onto my lawn, but once the conditions were good they came by and removed the first several trees. Because of the size of the job, they had to make a couple of visits to remove some trees, cut down other trees, and grind up the stumps. The company was great about following up and keeping me informed. In addition, they took the opportunity to cut some limbs that were also hanging over our house. Overall I was very happy with this service.

First tree was large size, and between our house and our neighbor's. The other tree was extra large (about 40 inch in diameter, 80 feet tall) . This tree was also very close to our house, so we needed a contractor we could trust. We paid for the arborist assessment and the gentleman walked the entire property with us (we have a lot of trees), confirming what we had already suspected needed to be removed. He didn't try to upsell us or remove trees that were healthy. The removal crew was fast, professional, and most importantly precise - they dropped each piece exactly where they wanted them to fall. When negotiating the job and price, we also asked if we could have the timber moved to our back yard so we could split it. Not only did they get all the wood to the backyard, but they cut it into manageable lengths that we can run through the splitter. Definitely top notch service.

we scheduled a time for the estimate so that I could be home. My home backs up to woods so I made it clear that I needed to be home to specifically show them what work I wanted done. On estimate day I had my front door open and no one from Ross' showed up. The next day they called and asked if I wanted to hire them. I said no one came by and the lady said, I have the estimate her in front of me and started to rattle off all of this work that didn't include some of the work I wanted. Obviously they came and didn't tell me. So we rescheduled the estimate and this went better, they showed up and gave me a good estimate. When I called to hire them, I told them that I needed to be home when they come to do the work, they said a scheduler would call me. I didn't hear from them for one week, when a man called and said that he was in my neighborhood and waited to do the work. I told him no, that no one has called to schedule an appointment and that I need to be there. I asked that they call me to set up an appointment. Later that week a gentleman called and said he was in my neighborhood and was going to do the work. He noted that I wanted to be there and could I meet him in an hour. I told him no, I couldn't leave work on short notice. A few days later, the exact same thing happened again! If they would call me to schedule an appointment I would have made arrangements to be there! I called the company to tell them to take me off their list I was taking my business elsewhere. The receptionist was concerned and asked why and I gave her the details. She was sorry for my experience but wanted to know how I was going to pay for the work that had already been done!?! I told here nothing had been one and she said that she had record that $150.00 was due.

We purchased the "Tree Evaluation by a Certified Arborist" deal. Ross Tree Service contacted us quickly to schedule a visit and were very accommodating of our schedule. The Arborist showed up on time, was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He answered all of our questions and provided suggestions on how to properly care for the several mature trees and bushes throughout the property (we had just purchased the house, and were not familiar with several of the trees and plants on-site). He also pointed out things to be on the lookout for down the road, and advised on services they could provide for us (without trying to push us to buy anything additional to the evaluation). All in all, a great experience, and would not hesitate in contracting them again.

September 23rd workers showed up on time and ready to go. Each worker very professional and knew what they were doing. One tree was to be cut down required a crane going over our home. Could not have asked for a more exceptional process to remove the 60+ year old ash tree. The cutting of dead wood from all other trees and trimming was completed and entire area around home cleaned to perfection. We could not have asked for more. In the future we will only call Ross Tree Service to care for our trees.

During the work, the foreman convinced my wife to cut a tree to the ground rather than just trim it. He said he would grind the stump. Upon ending the work, the stump wasn't ground. I contacted the HQ and they had the crew come back and finish the work. All good.

Good: they came out within 48 hours of my call. The company's viewpoint seems to lean towards saving trees rather than just talking them down when they are not perfect, which I like. The arborist who came by was very knowledgeable about my trees and gave good advice that will help us down the line. Bad: they're more costly than other estimates I received, but I think they'd probably do a quality job that made that money worth it if you can afford it. I also only got 39 mins warning that an arborist was coming, it was my only other contact with them after my initial phone call requesting an estimate (in which I was told I'd be contacted to schedule an estimate, not contacted to say the guy would be there in 30 mins!)

They came out for the estimate as scheduled and on time. We agreed on a price and he said he'd be out in about a week or so. I was in no hurry. The next day I got a call and he said he could do it that day!! They showed up with a good crew who were professional and VERY efficient!! They had the work done within a couple hours and cleaned (mostly - left a few pieces but nothing I couldn't handle) area. I was extremely happy and will most definately use them again as my birch trees grow like weeds:-)

Removed tree quickly and cleanly, loading entire tree into his truck and cleaning up all evidence of removal.

Ross Tree Services worked with my tight schedule to arrange a consultation at my home at a time that met my needs. Don was prompt, courteous and professional. He provided sound and reasonable advice and was clearly knowledgeable about the types of trees and shrubs in our yard, though this was his first time to our home. I felt very confident in his knowledge and advice and so look forward to working with him and his company in the future.

Four men came out and completed all work in 3 hours excluding stump work. Very organized effort moving equipment in backyard to work on big oak surrounded by deck plus 3 other oak trees beside shed. No damage to deck or shed. Next, they took down leaning tree and removed all debris. In front yard, they worked on 2 maple trees. We had to wait until May 27 for the tree stump work to be done. Two men came that day and did both stumps in about 30 minutes. Nice work! My wife & I were impressed and thought the price was great for all the work done.

Very professional and personable, provided several options scalable in nature for must, probably, and maybe in terms of tree removal and/or trimming. We liked that. No pressure.

The provider put us on the board for service once we approved of estimate. We thought charge was more than we expected. Trees were cut. We were advised after the service that one tree was in bad shape. we thought that if it were in bad shape why weren't we advised of that . We would have opted to have tree cut down as opposed to trimmed. Nothing else to compare this cost to.

I purchased the "deal" on 5/15. Ross Tree Service called me back on 5/20. An appointment was made for 5/28 between 10AM-12PM. I put it on my calendar and made plans to be at my home between 10-12. At 10:15AM on 5/28, Ross Tree Service called to tell me that the Arborist had been "overbooked" and would not be able to keep the appointment. I told them that I had made the appointment over a week ago and rescheduled my day to be there. They put me on hold and came back to tell me that the Arborist could be here but not during the hours I was given. Unfortunately, those were the hours that I had arranged to be at the house! So they obviously think it's okay to inconvenience you. Inconsiderate and unprofessional! If they knew the schedule was overbooked, all they had to do was contact me BEFORE the date the service was scheduled and I could have worked with them. Definitely, a poorly run/scheduled operation! I would not recommend them. I would not use them. I have no idea how they got any A ratings on Angie's List. Maybe management changed but their service is definitely lacking!

Everything went great. We had purchased a coupon on Angie's List to have a tree inspection and get an estimate on removing some tree limbs on the tree in our front yard. After speaking to the Arborist, we decided to have limbs removed on both trees in our front yard, several trees in our back yard as well as the removal of a lot of overgrowth in two areas of our backyard and plant a tree that we had in a large container. They showed up on time, did the work as described, did a very good job and were very professional and polite. We would hire them again for any tree work completed. By the way, the leaves have grown on our trees and the trimming looks fabulous.

Everyone I spoke to and had contact with was very friendly and helpful. We had a specific tree we wanted looked at and the arborist reassured us that nothing needed to be done, but told us what to look for in the months/years to come. It was overall a very pleasant experience. I would absolutely use them again.
