Did exactly what I wanted. Actually came and did the job when I was traveling but I was quite surprised to see how well it looked when I got back! Cleaned up well. Would hire again.

The trimming and clean-up by a 4-person team were professionally done. The arborist responded promptly to my questions, and I appreciated his analysis of the tree's condition and explanation of options for the work needed. End result seems great, and I was assured that the trimmed tree will look better & leafier next spring. The slightly lower scores reflect minor difficulties with scheduling, but I'm pleased with their work and would recommend this company.

The initial consult was excellent. I was not informed when the crew would show up. But the crew was great! They did a professional job and answered my questions. They cleaned up after the job. I would definitely recommend this company!!

I received great feedback on the initial review of my yard. The tree removal team did show up without prior notice from Ross, but that was not a big deal. They did a fabulous job removing the trees and cleaning up. Everyone was really nice.

I called in advance and scheduled an arborist to provide a consultation and estimate for Thursday, May 18, between 10 - Noon. No one showed up, nor did they call to reschedule. I called again on Friday, May 19. The person said they would find out what happened on Thursday, and would call me right back. No apology was offered as to Thursday's events. I also did not receive a call back.

Great. Everything was clearly explained during the estimate, which was cheaper or as cheap as anyone else with even lower AL scores. Once I agreed to the estimate, they sent a crew out the very next day. They were quick and efficient and did exactly what they said they would do. All the mess was cleaned up and they were on their way. Couldnt ask for any more! Great service.

He had some other things that he had to do, my job got bumped. He cleaned-up well.

They work took about four hours. The workers were fine.

The price I thought was a bit high. They advertised a discount but didn't occur. I had used them before and they do good work. That is why I used them again.

Estimate by Mr. Ross, and scheduling for removal was timely. The workers arrived as scheduled, and the work was performed in a professional and efficient manner, including cutting the tree up into firewood, and the clean-up thereafter. I might add that my concern that a portion of the tree might fall on my neighbor was eased as I observed the workers in conjunction with the crane operator.

On August 22, 2016, received an estimate. I called and said I accepted the bid. And then the wait began. A week went by and I heard nothing. I called the office and was told my project was "on the board." I was told that given the location of the company (Bristow, VA), the company waited until they had several jobs in the Arlington/Alexandria VA. OK. Called again on 9/20 and was told the job was "still on the board." Called 10/12 to cancel and was told the job was scheduled for 10/18. Crew did not show up. I called the office and was told the crew "couldn't find the house"!! I asked for the cell phone number of the owner. I called him and left a message. Never heard back from him. I regret the time I spent on this. Plenty of other companies from which to chose.

Dan Ross of Ross Tree Service came and evaluated what needed to be done, which included cutting down the tree, removal of a tree, grind the stump and remove the stump grindings. Cutting down and removal of the tree itself was fine. However, when they moved the stump grinder across my yard to get to the stump, they tore up about 20 feet of our newly planted yard to do so. Also, Dan had told me that when the work was complete, there would be a 6-foot pit in the yard from the stump grindings being removed, and that I needed to buy about 10 bags of topsoil to fill the pit that would be left, which I did the next day. A week or so later when they did the work, he said he NEVER said the price of hauling away the stump grindings was included, and there was an additional fee of $350 to do that! I spoke to him and told him what he had said to me and that I had purchased the topsoil to fill the pit the day after we spoke initially. I also knew that we were responsible for filling the pit, not him. He then said he needed to talk to the people in the office and would call me back regarding the pile of stump grindings that remained. He never called me back, but rather had someone in his office let me know that he would 'only' charge an additional $100.00 rather than $350.00. I agreed to it because I wanted to end this transaction with him and his company. His workers came and removed the grindings after putting plywood down this time to protect what was left of my yard. We are still trying to restore our yard to what it looked like before we hired them. He said all of the right things to convince me that they could do the work and would do a good job. But in actuality, he did not keep his word and he destroyed my newly planted yard in the process, and was not honest with me.

Terrible. Poor customer service. After several attempts to arrange an appointment, I cancelled the deal.

The arborist who came to provide the estimate was knowledgeable and friendly. He provided a written estimate on the spot. There were a few issues with rescheduling on their end; communication on that aspect certainly could have been better. But every time I called the office they were friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with the crew that came to do the work. They came with all the right equipment, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. Despite the scheduling issues I will likely use this company again.

The arborist was so knowledgeable and informative. He was able to guide us in being able to save a tree we feel is beautiful on our property.

We have a 2 year old Red Maple that we removed the support straps from this past Spring. After recent storms the Maple started to develop a slight lean. We wanted to preempt the tree from potentially toppling-over so we called RTS for an estimate to have the tree braced. Dan came out and looked at our leaning tree and recommended that we did not need anything at this point as the tree should right itself as the root system becomes more established after the wind stress. Dan was very honest and could have sold us on paying for the bracing when we ultimately did not need it. He also we around the rest of the yard, inspected our other trees and gave us recommendations on care. We will definitely be going with RTS this fall for our pruning and tree maintenance needs.

Awful. I sent an email as a follow-up and never heard back.
