We had lived in our home for three years before having the driveway sealed and no idea when it was sealed prior to that. I had already filled the cracks myself, Resurface only applied the sealant. It was smooth and done well, and still looks good two years later. Used the coupon that came in the mail.

It had been about 10 years since I had my drive way sealed. They were able to come out and get it sealed and everything turned out great!

Based on a flyer distributed by Re-surface, I contacted them to reseal my driveway. The quoted price on the advertisement was $79, with an additional 10% off ($71) if neighbors have theirs done on the same day. My neighbor called to tell them that I wanted my driveway done and so there would be two for them in our neighborhood on the same day. The office claimed never to have received my neighbor's voicemail, sealed her driveway but not mine, charged her the full $79, and asked me to call to schedule my service for another day. I did so. Because of poor weather, the service had to be rescheduled two additional times. Each time I confirmed that the price would be $71 since another neighbor was having theirs done on the same day. Yesterday, when the weather was finally excellent, the Resurface office called me, after completing another neighbor's driveway, to inform me that unfortunately my price would not be $71 but $114, no reason given. Had they let me know this the very first time I called to schedule an appointment -- that they would be unable to honor the flyer price - that would be one thing. But to have them raise the price by $43 on the day of the service, after repeated confirmations of the $71 price over the phone, is simply unacceptable business practice. I see from other reviews of this business that I am not the only victim of Resurface's "bait and switch" game. I cancelled my appointment with them and will look for another provider. Based on my neighbor's driveways - the work itself is fine. But I would not recommend that anyone else schedule work with Re-surface without getting a price estimate in writing first.

I am going to update my review in a few days after I see how well the seal job is done. I called based on a flyer they mailed out, you had to call in for a price quote. I spoke to Matt, I gave him my address and I ALWAYS spell out the street name AMBLEWOOD. He called me back with a quote of $69. So I scheduled the appointment at first it was supposed to by the 19th and was changed to the 18th which is not a problem. The problem is when his tech came to the door the first thing out of his mouth to me was oh we got the wrong address its going to cost more than $69, I said how much more because $69 is what I was quoted. He called Matt and said $110.00, I felt like I was being "baited and switched" He had Matt call me and I got some lame excuse about it must have been Amberwood (there is no Amberwood in Manassas VA) He asked if I still wanted it done and quoted a price of $100.00, frankly his tone was not customer friendly. I had no choice as all the sealer companies are really busy right now and we needed to get this done. If he had told me originally what the price was it would have been a lot more helpful as I already had a check written for the original quote. Anyway I will update my review if I feel its warranted in a few days. ****Update 9/21/2014, though the driveway looks good from a few feet away, up close they did not fill any cracks and the ones remaining are less than 1/8' as we had filled the larger ones before they got here to seal the driveway last Thursday. Every other sealing company I have used has always filled the small hairline cracks before sealing the driveway we won't use them again in the future.

Wow! After receiving a flyer in the mail quoting a very good price for my particular drive way (I can't tell you the dimensions, but it's a two-car garage-width driveway of an average length for my half-acre lot), I called. Someone answered the phone, which can sometimes offer a challenge just on that! He found a slot for my Fredericksburg address within two days. Today was the day, and I came home from work to find my driveway looks absolutely spectacular! I can't imagine using another company ever again.

Initial quote was made by very responsive salesman (I chose this company because of him). Scheduling was a nightmare, as on first attempt there was an error on Resurface's part getting miss utilities to mark area. (Took day off and lost wages for no satisfaction). Should have been called prior to crew showing up and not doing work. Second attempt went better on scheduling and getting utility lines marked. Crew did satisfactory work, but damaged siding on my garage (did not notice until they were long gone). No satisfaction from Management when calling for help or price adjustment. Was actually threatened (by means of finance charges if invoice not paid quickly) by MATT, when I finally reached someone to talk to. Was told that "this was construction, these things happen." Would not use again or recommend to anyone.

Re-surface rescheduled twice due to weather. Actually the weather was fine the first day. The second time my car was in the driveway, and I was working on the side of the house. They left without letting me know that they were there. I waited for more than month to get this job completed. When completed the workmanship was OK - not great. The price was competitive with other services - Average. Professionalism, Responsivenes, and Punctuality were somewhat less than expected! My biggest complaint was being moved forward twice - took a month to get the work done. Finally, when they installed the cautionary sign across my driveway, they drove the stake through a sprinkler line. They put the stake right next to a sprinkler head, and cut the water line. UGH! Repairing the sprinkler cost a lot more than re-surfacing my driveway! I would not use them again, nor would I recommend them to friends.

I had a pretty bad experience with this company. They were originally scheduled to come out on Thursday June 26th to reseal my driveway. On June 25th I received a voicemail from them stating they were overbooked and needed to reschedule for the 27th. (The forecast showed rain Friday but not Thursday). At some point on Friday a big storm swept through the NOVA area. When I arrived home from work about 6pm (on the 27th) what I saw was a disaster. My driveway looked worse then before it was resealed. Most of the sealant they had put down had washed away from the driveway, there was also a lot of sealant splatter on my front stoop. Also they had put up a plastic tarp in front of my garage door and the stairs leading up to my neighbor I guess in attempt to stop the splatter from happening which means they were well aware it was going to rain. They also had pulled up a bunch of my front garden paver stones for whatever reason and didn't put them back. They had also left a bill on my front door. I took some photos of the mess and the bill and went inside to give them a call. The problem obviously being Friday afternoon they were now closed for the weekend. I also emailed them the photos and asked them to call me. Again on Sat. I called and left another message, I didn't want to even attempt putting my car on the driveway yet. Finally Sunday someone knocks on the door and he said he was coming by to check the driveway. He said he would come back Monday to fix it and powerwash the front stoop, but I should call the office. Monday the 30th I called and they said they would get someone out later in the week to redo the driveway. At this point I said that was unacceptable as it had now been 3 days since I could use my driveway. They then said they would send someone out that day. When I got home from work, they had indeed redone the driveway and it looked much better, but they had missed a few spots as well as the stoop was not power washed, there was a note on my door stating they didnt have access to water and I needed to call the office to schedule another appointment. I called the office the next day and told them I had turned the rear hose bib and they said they would get someone out there. Finally on July 11th someone came out and power washed the stoop (they did a decent job) though not surprisingly they didn't fully turn off the water valve and we found it dripping the next day. Also they did not reseal the spots that they had missed the first time. Overall I was not impressed with anything this company did and would not use or recommend them.

Great!!! They showed up as promised and performed a very good service at a very good price.

We received a flier in the mail from Re-Surface, Inc. for a $69 driveway sealing (competitively priced for this area) and since they were a local outfit, we decided we'd give them a try. Overall, we are pleased with the value and with the professionalism of its employees. When we scheduled sealing, we had requested an estimator come out ahead of time to take a look at the condition of our driveway, particularly some problem spots we didn't think sealcoating would fix. We never heard from them in that regard, so that was disappointing. Prior to applying the sealer, we asked the employee what he thought about the problem areas and he said they should be fine. Time will tell as far as how well the work holds up, but we were happy with the job they did and that they took extra care not to get asphalt all over our grass/concrete work. Pending how the sealer holds up, we'd hire them again.

Company did a very poor job in coordinating with customer their staff got so involved in signatures request approval Process. The company basically failed in the basics of customer service. So I went with another company who came on-site assess the situation and had to work done within a week.

Easy estimate by phone based on satellite imagery, scheduling was simple, application was top notch. What is not to like?

The seal coating was fine but the crack fill was not the best. The company came out twice so I appreciated their effort.
