Very friendly and helpful staff at Prince William Garage Door. Set up an appointment that fit my schedule to provide an estimate. The estimate was sent by e-mail on the same day as the visit. The old door was taken down and hauled away, and the new door was installed without any issues. The installer was very professional and friendly, and clean up before he left. The door is operating great and looks great. Will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a new garage door.

Visited the vendor show room which was nicely set up with all their products. The process of choosing a door and opener with the salesman was super easy; we had some concerns that our garage ceiling was too low to accommodate a standard opener and they showed us a low profile ceiling opener and a 'side of the door' opener with all pricing being open and honest. The estimator came out and did measurements and a visual inspection. We ordered a custom color insulated steel door to match our house and were able to go with the standard ceiling mount opener, and it showed up in 2 weeks. Old Masonite door and rails were removed quickly and new door was installed within 3 hours. There was an issue with the opener that had to be resolved the next day, but the new door is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the opener which is essentially silent - not like the old days with the chain grinding away. Overall price was extremely competitive, and we highly recommend this company.

Several months later the garage door kept opening and I called after work and they came right over and fixed the problem, something to do with the cold weather and the height the door had to close and the pad on the bottom of the garage door. No additional fee. Several months after that the door would not shut at all. In frustration I called and the owner came right over and after looking at the garage system said I had a bad sensor and replaced it. No additional fee.

It was Saturday morning, just before 8 am when we saw that the garage door had a broken spring on one side. Ours is a large double door and we keep both cars inside. The door would not open, even when the door release was used, so we had a real problem. We called Prince William Garage Door at 8:15 am, talked with a nice lady who quickly understood the problem and called Jason. Jason told us what the price would be, and we agreed. He was at our house 20 minutes later and had the door repaired within a half hour. So, from the time we saw the problem until the door was repaired was about an hour and a half. Unbelievable.

The guy showed up on time, performed fix action on the door. Discussed problems with the existing opener. Scheduled installation of the new opener on the spot. Arrived to install the new opener on time.

When I made the initial call, the man on the phone asked Some questions about what size garage we have and what the problem was, and provided an estimate over the phone. Repair was scheduled for within 48 hours. Louie, the man who completed the work for us, was extremely nice. He called prior to the earliest estimated arrival time to get better directions to our house and was there exactly on time (I love it when they show up at the beginning of the window). He was friendly and kind to me and my little boy, seemed very knowledgeable, and I felt completely comfortable the entire time. He worked quickly and gave me info on how to maintain the parts in the future, leaving behind an empty can of lubricant so I would know which type to buy. The amount I paid matched the estimate I was given over the phone. I would definitely use them again.

We met Prince William Garage Doors at a home show over the winter. We were very impressed with their down-to-earth information about their garage doors and the process for installation and sales. The owner came out to meet with us, and we went over all the options for our garage door and decided on the best one for our house - a very solid metal door - not one that will bend or weather over time. All he required for a deposit was the acknolowledgment that we would be buying the door and a hand shake. The door arrived in the next several weeks and his team did a great job on the installation. We have been very happy with it and it has been a great enhancement to the look of our home. We had one request to them to come out and adjust the rubber stopper on the bottom of the door that didnt' seem to be sitting quite right/flat after a few weeks, and they came right out and made the adjustment - no cost. Thank you for doing such a great job! We would recommend you to anyone who asked and we hope to be able to use your services again sometime in the future!

We were using Angie's List recommendations for that. We were quite happy with them. They came out and installed a new door right away within a couple of days of when we were looking. Their price was better than another place that we looked at that was highly rated in Angie's List. The price they quoted when we were looking was exactly what it ended up being. We had spoken to them; we had gone for an initial look when we were looking at different places. Then we went back to them. It was either Thursday or Friday last week. He said that they have the door that we want in stock and that they will be out Tuesday morning. They were here by 8:20 in the morning, and they put it in. They explained how to use the locks and all that stuff. They did everything that they should do and they did it well. They were prompt.

We needed a new garage door, nothing too fancy. We met Ricky at a home show in Virginia and he was willing to drive all the way out to Silver Spring for an estimate. We only looked at 2 contractors, but we chose PWGD because he was a much better price. I don’t think he had too many manufacturers that he worked with, but we found enough options for styles, windows, designs, thicknesses, and we sprung an extra $50 for a belt motor instead of a chain motor ($375), and I’ve never heard a door so quiet. Including keypad and remotes for our 9x7 door with fancy bevelite windows, it was about $1400 installed. My only complaints are very minor 1) Ricky’s emails lack a signature block and he forgets to sign his name, so I got a little confused whom I was dealing with, and 2) It took about a month between ordering and installation, not 20 days as estimated.

Immediate response to my call and they made time to come to my house that day to give me an estimate and helped to make sure the garage was closed while waiting for the parts and labor to be worked on the following day. Great customer service! I would highly recommend them.

Everything went well. They fit us into their schedule although they had a full schedule already. It was not quite an emergency because we have another vehicle but my car was stuck in the garage because the door wouldn't open. The technician showed up during the appointment window. He let us know the how long a spring on a garage door should last based on usage. Apparently, we use our door more than average.

They scheduled promptly to come out in two days, then changed schedule to following day upon homeowners request. They quoted visit price as $125 to include simple adjustment w/ delta upcharge, depending on what was wrong. Repairman showed up promptly at start of time window, diagnosed problem of a bad IR sensor after 30 minutes of investigation. He had sensors on truck, and replaced both sensors, then oiled both doors. He patiently answer homeowners questions regarding this problem and adjustments, and completed work within an hour. Parts cost was determined to be an additional $20, bringing total to $145.

Ricky was exceptionally responsive. We had contracted with another company to replace our garage door and the previous contractor kept our deposit and did not show up to do the job. Ricky came out the day after we called him, measured and gave us a very fair price. He did not require a deposit up front. The door was installed professionally. The door itself is good quality. The installation was done quickly. They replaced all of the old track, door opener and included an exterior keypad. We will use Prince William Garage Door in the future and will recommend their work to others.

I called on Wednesday and set up a time on Friday. They came as promised. He did the service. He left the area clean. I w\would use them again.
