I am getting ready to sell my house and couldn't afford a major overhaul of my kitchen. This cost a 1/10 of the cost of door replacements. The cabinets look new. now. I couldn't be happier. Owers were a lovely couple who worked hard and left the place spotless. I definietly recommend this service.

These people are very professional.

They were very nice to work with. They were a little expensive but they were up front with the cost. They were on time, completed the work in less than a day, and did a good job. They found someone to install the new microwave and I was pleased with that service too.

We received several quotes for resurfacing of our old cabinets and Kitchen Tune was not the lowest or the most expensive. After reviewing the quotes and looking at previous Angie's List comments of their work we decided that Kitchen Tune-Up would get our business. Dan showed us the available products and explained the differences in the wood, stains, trim options, and cabinet doors and how the installation would be performed. Dan said it would take 5 to 6 weeks to receive the materials. The materials arrived on time and he and his wife said they would take about 7 days to complete the installation. I had the opportunity to observe Dan and Cathy several times over the week of installation and they are a great team. The installation was completed on time and our kitchen looks great. The work is so good that all our friends thought we had new cabinets installed. During a recent bathroom remodel I had several contractors ask who did the work in our kitchen because of the workmanship and one stated that they had never seen a resurface that looked this good. My wife and I are very happy and pleased with the work. I would highly recommend Kitchen Tune up.

Dan and Mary did a spectacular job on our kitchen!! We are so pleased with the results. They look like brand new cabinets. They have a very professional operation and work efficiently and effortlessly together. They left the kitchen swept and tidy each night. You could tell they took a lot of pride in doing a good job. We have dogs and they were very patient with them when they interrupted their work. Dan and Mary were not afraid to provide suggestions or offer their opinon when asked, which is a plus for me. In the beginning I kept calling Dan 'Bob'. After I realized my mistake and apologized he was able to laugh with me, even when I called him Bob on purpose.

Took surprisingly short time to do work, which was important so that my kitchen was fully usable after a day and a half. When I subsequently noticed a problem with small crack on door of one of the new cabinets, I was reassured that it would be replaced as soon as new door could be obtained from factory. The replacement was taken care of promptly with no follow-up needed on my part, and to my satisfaction. Cabinets look wonderful and I no longer have to fear that the largest cabinet will literally fall off the wall--which was a real possibility before the work was done!

Let me begin by saying that everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. From the first visit to provide an estimate, Dan was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Even before I signed a contract, he made himself available to answer questions or make suggestions. While on-site, Mary and Dan were punctual and extremely courteous. We had not expected to be able to use our kitchen while the work was being done, but Dan and Mary cleaned up so well every evening that we were able to access most everything in our kitchen. The finished product was simply stunning. Dan solved many little quirky problems in my kitchen during the course of the work and added many designer touches. No one who sees the cabinets can believe they were refaced. I would hire Dan again in a minute.

From the first contact, Dan was very professional, prompt, and thorough. He quickly came out a time that was convenient for us and gave us a detailed estimate. Dan ordered the necessary materials, which arrived in about a week. Within a couple of days, Dan was at our house and completed the repair. We are thoroughly satisfied with the quality, timeliness, and price of Dan's work. We are planning a complete refacing project next year, and we will definitely call on KitchenTuneUp for that job. The work went very well and was finished right on schedule. They worked well as a team, were very professional and efficient, and were very nice people. I am very pleased with my refaced cabinets.

Dan came in and he was very professional. He claimed the procedure on how it is going to be done. He gave us some advice also. We are actually planning to rent a house so he gave us some tips on what else we could do with regards to that. He was very helpful. We did not decide to do it at that time. It was not doing the kitchen at all..

The whole process went well - I'm very happy with the kitchen and bathroom vanity. When I first called, the answering service set up an appointment for an estimate. Dan was running a little late on appointment day but called to let me know when he would arrive. After he arrived, we talked about what I wanted to accomplish and he asked questions and gave some suggestions; I looked at some samples and he gave me an estimate. I later emailed him with more questions, which he answered, and he stopped by again so I could look at more samples. I made my choice on the cabinets and he took measurements. The next day or so, we both realized he didn't measure the bathroom vanity. When he came back, he mentioned that adding pull-out drawers to a particular kitchen cabinet really wouldn't work out well (after thinking and talking about it, I agreed) so we amended the estimate accordingly. He later emailed the estimated arrival of the doors and an estimated start date. Dan and Mary started as planned and finished a day sooner than estimated. Each day they would cover the floors and counters and stow things out of the way so your house could still function. As with almost any home project, I was nervously anxious for "something" to come up that we would have to deal with or change, but nothing of significance came up. Many, many thanks to Dan and Mary for brightening up my kitchen!

Kitchen Tune-up (Dan and Mary) did a fabulous job exceeding my expectations. I got several estimates and their price was reasonable. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive. The materials showed up and they were ready to work living up exactly to the estimate given at the time of order. Dan and Mary were extremely neat with the whole buisness. Also I felt so comfortable with them I just let them in and left them to do the work. The materials themselves were first rate. Good quality wood and the workmanship was great. The job looks great. I have other cabinentry projects planned and will be using them again which is about the best compliment I can give.

Dan came out a month before the job to survey the job and give us an estimate. He said they could touch up the bad cabinets to match the original finish. He showed me pictures that gave me confidence that they could do a good job. We were deciding between a major refinishing or the touch up approach and we came away confident in Kitchen Touch-Ups approach and chose them. When they arrived to do the work, they were very well organized and were very careful in our house. Mary was a real artist in repairing the damaged doors. They really did come out looking like new. Dan did the cleaning and repair. The replacement of the bad hinges and putting on new door bumpers was a bonus. The outcome was brand new looking cabinets and we are very happy with our decision to go with Kitchen Tune-up. Be prepared to vacuum every night after they are done as there fine layer of dust even though (or maybe because) they cover all of the surfaces and floor with canvas tarps.

We were looking to udpate our kitchen but found the price of all new cabinetry prohibitive. Our cabinets had been installed 15 years earlier and became impossible for us to clean. But the cabinets were still solid, and we liked the cherry wood, so we decided to try to clean them up. Dan and Mary were the solution to our problem. They really made the cabinets look new, and they helped advise us on other aspects of job. They were also funny and pleasant people who we enjoyed having in our home.

Their service was very good. They were very professional. My next door neighbor has used them now too once she saw my renovation. They let you know what is going on and call if they are running late. They were very pleasant to work with.

Dan and Mary were wonderful. i cannot say this enough. From the very beginning when Dan came out for the estimate. He was very helpful in helping me decide on new handles and knobs for the cabinets. They came when they said they would, they completed the job in the length of time they said they would and the finished product was and is fabulous. They were neat in the work space and very considerate of my home. I would definitely recommend them.

From the beginning until the job was completed Dan and Mary were true professionals. They respected our home and always cleaned up after themselves. Their workmanship is stunning. The work was done properly and on time. The prospective buyers of our condo commented on how nice the cabinets looked and have placed a contract on our unit. I will certainly call on this company again if I need any cabinet work done in the future. I highly recommend this company. The owners were so nice and easy to work with. Our kitchen project is done and we can?t wait to share our wonderful experience with other Angie?s List members abut Kitchen Tune-Up. Dan Tokarski was amazing. On our first meeting, he had come straight to our home after working a full day at another client?s home. Since our respective jobs are not close to our residence, Dan accommodated our scheduling for this meeting. He was very patient and willing to educate us about his various products and woods. Much to our surprise, Dan had samples of the counters we were anticipating to purchase. He also had worked very closely with Counterintelligence, the company we had planned on using for our new counters. I was having a lot of trouble ?visualizing? our wood flooring and the-yet-to-be-purchased counter tops and all the cabinet woods Dan was showing us. After much anxiety over the little pieces of counter samples and listening to our reservations about wood colors, Dan ran to his car (once more) to get a sample of cabinet wood he thought we?d like. He was right on! Still my anxiety and doubts lingered. Since it was a long weekend, he allowed us to borrow the sample and take it with us on our Counterintelligence appointment. It made all the difference in our choices! Dan even made suggestions on counter finish edges and I really appreciated that! Now, this decision was in the first weekend of March and the timing of a finished job was cutting very close to the Easter holiday when both Dan and his family, and our family, would be busy with holiday preparations. We really, really, wanted our kitchen to be done by April 4; but we were prepared if the order didn?t come in time. Kitchen Tune-Up needed 5 days (and no weekend work) to have this job competed. There was absolutely no pressure from Kitchen Tune-Up about pushing the job! The wood order came in very late; minus a ?lazy-susan? double doors. Dan and his wife, Mary (his only help), worked hard to make it all happen. They realized how important this job was to us. Mary?s advice on cabinet hardware was also very valuable. They both have a good sense of style that can be counted on throughout the job. Dan knew many small enhancements that really brought our kitchen up to a level of sophistication that I wasn?t prepared to experience. On the last day of work, my husband asked Dan for advice about self closing door mechanisms (a soft-close). Dan was prepared and said he would install them; his price for the additional work was very reasonable. All in all, we would highly recommend Kitchen Tune-Up! During the month of April, our guests and neighbors have been so ?wow-ed? by the transformation that they have asked for Dan?s contact information.

Based on Angie's list reviews, I called Kitchen Tune up and made an appointment for an estimate. About an hour later I got a call from Dan--he was in my neighborhood on a job could stop by for the estimate that afternoon. He was prompt and professional. He let me know that our cabinets' finish (a champagne or pickled maple) was a tricky one with multiple layers, and that they couldn't make it look 100% new, and that there would be areas of unevenness when viewed closely, but that it could still look much better. The price was excellent, so we decided to hire them. I also liked that you didn't need to empty out your cabinets and that the work would be done in only two days. Dan and Mary arrived promptly on the scheduled day. They were professional and did exactly as they had promised. We have a large kitchen, but they were able to complete the work and install our new knobs over two days. As they had said,due to our finish you could see a few areas where they had retouched the finish, but the cabinets looked great, and with our new knobs I felt like I had a complete kitchen re-do.

Their work was first rate. The kitchen looks fantastic. Dan and Mary are meticulous, driven by doing a quality job and customer focused. With no reservations whatsoever, I highly recommend them if refacing is what you want.

Dan and Mary Tarski came to our home--right on time! Because of the estimate process and working with Dan earlier to help us choose the right granite for countertops (he introduced us to Joe at Counter Intelligence--great company!), we trusted Dan and Mary and immediately gave them a key to our house. They worked 4 full days (they could have used a 5th day, but we pushed them because of company coming to visit), coming and going as they needed. Great people! And their work was perfection! We love our cabinets--anyone would think they are brand new, not refaced! I would recommend Dan and Mary to ANYONE!! I put them on the top of my list of best contractors EVER!

Dan and Mary were very professional and did an excellent job. My kitchen has been transformed. I didn't purchase the knobs before they came but Dan and Mary came back to install the knobs. I truly appreciate their excellent service and high quality work.

Dan and Mary Tokarski did an amazing job transforming my kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I feel like I live in a brand new house again. They were very personable and wonderful to work with from the estimate, through the measuring, ordering, scheduling and installation. Dan answered all my questions and provided very good leads on vendors who could handle other portions of the renovation project. Mary and Dan also provided excellent advice when I was making selections and trying to coordinate the cabinet wood tone with the floor tile, existing backsplash tile, and granite countertop. Their work is meticulous--the sign of true craftspeople. It is obvious they have worked on enough projects to be ready for all contingencies. For instance, we discussed during the estimate stage that there might not be enough clearance under the kitchen countertop for the dishwasher after the linoleum was replaced with ceramic tile. Dan advised this often happens and after the formica countertop was removed he could build up the base cabinet enough to provide the extra height required and then the refacing would cover the additional piece of wood. It worked perfectly. My kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful and I definitely would recommend using Kitchen Tune-Up for cabinet refacing. They did all the refacing work in one week.
