We had our kitchen cabinets and a bathroom cabinet re-faced by Kitchen Tune-Up and we are extremely satisfied with the craftsmanship and final products. Paolo and Herman are great to work with, they take pride in what they do and they take care of their customers. They are especially responsive when surprises come up during a project. The work started after the blizzard in late January - 2 days after Herman started working, it was determined that we were missing 5 of the replacement cabinet doors (it could only happen to us! ) Paolo worked diligently with the delivery folks and the manufacturer, trying to locate the missing doors, but it soon became apparent that the doors were not to be found. Rather than delaying the inevitable, Paolo bit the bullet and immediately ordered replacement doors from the manufacturer. It meant a delay of a couple weeks on the project, but that was better than an endless wait. So Herman finished everything he could with the materials at hand and then returned 2 weeks later when the replacement doors arrived. It was worth the wait - the kitchen looks great, the craftsmanship is top notch and we are very happy with the whole project. The mark of a really good company is not just the quality and value of their products (though these are very important attributes) but also how well they take care of their customers when problems occur - Kitchen Tune-Up is definitely one of the good companies to work with!

Paulo was the sales person and Herman did the labor -- both were fabulous to work with. The final product is wonderful - my kitchen looks amazing. Everything was delivered as promised and more. Herman went above and beyond. One of the cabinet drawers was somewhat broken which I thought would be a problem for refacing -- but it wasn't. Herman fixed the drawer and refaced it beautifully. Under the cabinets were also refaced - which was an added bonus. Herman takes enormous pride in his work and it shows not only in the end product but in his professionalism. Herman's job is tedious and time consuming -- his work is meticulous and professional. As a side note about his professionalism--because there was work being done on my street which created a problem for Herman to be able to park his work vehicle in front of my house, he delivered all of the work products and his equipment the day before and left them in my house. He took extreme care to keep things as neat as possible. Also, each evening when he left, he cleaned up the kitchen before leaving and left everything as neat as possible. Which was really helpful because that enabled me to cook and prepare supper at the end of the day. It was a terrific experience working with Paulo and Herman and the end result is absolutely fabulous. Paulo assured me that the work has a lifetime guarantee and I know that he is a 'man of his word' -- and thats a good feeling. I feel extremely lucky to have found Kitchen Tune Up on Angie's List and I will (and have already) highly recommend them. Thank you Paulo -- Thank you Herman. I LOVE MY NEW CABINETS!!!! And yes, if I decide to reface the cabinets in my other house -- I'll call. :-)

We invited three contractors to show us their product offerings. Paulo Baesse of Kitchen Tune-Up earned our business. He was prompt for out first appointment, discussed the various options (wood vs. composite, different designs, various wood types, etc.) and explained the entire process from beginning to end. He also offered ideas for personalizing and better utilizing our space (e.g., slide out drawers in several floor cabinets). Paulo was very friendly and down to earth, and obviously passionate about what he does. Absolutely zero pressure to sign a contract (unlike the salesman from a different very highly rated Angie's List cabinet refacer). In the end, we chose Kitchen Tune-Up because Paulo offered the best balance of cost, quality of products, and reputation. We placed our order for the cabinet doors, and expected a start date of late November/early December. Much to our pleasant surprise, Kitchen Tune-Up was able to start the job on November 3rd. The cabinet installer, Herman, showed up as promised and immediately began the process of prepping the old cabinets (removing old doors and hardware and sanding/cleaning the surface). The "refacing" of the existing boxes started on day one. Very clean, with virtually no dust. It was obvious Herman is detailed oriented and a master of what he does (he was on the quiet side but very friendly, approachable and professional). He was very patient with our questions. As the week progressed, the kitchen slowly came together. In the end (5 days later), Herman created a fabulous new kitchen for us. We are very pleased with the quality of workmanship and the quality of the doors (solid cherry wood). We highly recommend Kitchen Tune-Up. Very competitive prices, high quality cabinets, great work, and outstanding customer service. In fact, this was one of our best experiences with an Angie's List contractor.

Beyond fabulous! Paulo and his assistant are masters of making cabinets look brand new! We have cabinets that are over 25 years old. There were several that had heat damage, water damage, and discoloration. Within a half a day they were able to make these cabinets look absolutely beautiful!!!! Even my husband made the comment that "just the repair of the heat-damaged cabinet was worth the price we paid for all the cabinets!" We are so very pleased with the results. If you are looking for true craftsmanship, Kitchen Tune-Up is the company for you. They arrived on time, were very professional, and hard working. But, most of all, they are in a class of their own with the quality of work they do! Would we recommend Kitchen Tune Up, absolutely yes!

This was a great experience. Our kitchen looks brand new. The Kitchen-Tune-Up team of Paolo and Herman delivered an excellent product. They were responsive, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. The product is excellent and the installation was absolutely outstanding. The kitchen was cleaned up every evening and available for our use during the installation process. We have zero complaints and highly recommend this Kitchen-Tune team.

After buying a condo that was used as a rental property, I shopped around for cabinet re-facing. The property was fairly new, just not well taken care of by the renters. After the sticker shock of several estimates, I was fortunate to find Paulo Baesse. He replied promptly, reviewed photos of the cabinets, and proactively suggested an affordable level of service that was needed. The appointment was scheduled promptly, everyone arrived on time, and I was charged as originally quoted. As for the quality of service, I had realistic expectations?they were far exceeded. Paulo promised ?80% like new,? to me it hit 100%. The ?tune-up? process eliminated wear, tear, grease, discoloration, and the appearance of water damage. I could not be happier and strongly recommend Paulo Baesse and the Tune-Up service.

They did a great job and I'm very pleased with the result. I had my lower cabinets refaced and the color changed. They look terrific. I first learned of Kitchen Tune-Up through Angie's List, where the reviews are extremely positive. I asked a question and received a prompt response from Paulo. He came out and gave me an estimate. We remained in touch as I talked with representatives of a couple of other companies. Finally, when I made up my mind what color I wanted and was ready to commit, he and his carpenter, Herman, came out, discussed the scope of the work I wanted done and took measurements. They let me know it would take some time to get the materials, so we scheduled the work for late September. But the materials came in earlier than expected, so Paulo called and told me they could do the work a month earlier if it was all right with me. Herman came and spent three days meticulously installing new doors, drawers and refacing the frames, all the while patiently answering numerous questions from me. I felt comfortable leaving the house to run errands. Both guys are nice and easy to work with. I hope to have them back for more work in the future. I definitely would recommend them to anyone looking to spruce up their kitchen.

In brief...this company is exceptional when it comes to customer service. My home is over 20 years old so I am at the stage where I have been doing a wide variety of repairs, maintenance and upgrades with various tradespeople. I am very picky and have high standards and most companies let me down. I'm happy to say that Paulo and Herman were the exception to this. Both gentlemen truly want the customer to be happy and are very willing to work with their clients to achieve a great end result. Paulo came out to give me an estimate on refacing my laminate cabinets ( Kitchen: approx 26 door panels and 23 drawer panels; and I had them build a fill panel and crown up to the ceiling on the upper cabinets, master bathroom: two good size vanities, guest bath: one smaller vanity.) I was apprehensive to commit to such a large expenditure so I first had them do the small vanity. After that I felt comfortable going forward with the master bath and kitchen and here is why....I explained to Paulo I would be moving in 2 - 3 years so wanted to reface instead of remodel and keep costs reasonable. He was very understanding of this and always tried to keep that in mind. He was upfront immediately with any extra costs that would be incurred based on some changes I made along the way. Which brings me to another point. After the fill panel and crown were going up I knew it wasn't exactly like I wanted. Paulo and Herman were very accomodating in letting me make a change to it so late in the project and ordered more materials for me and then returned later to install. Never making me feel bad for delaying the project and consequently delaying their final pay. Paulo handled the estimate and administration while Herman did the actual work at my home. Herman is awesome and was very easy to have in my home. So polite and an excellent worker. I don't write reviews often, but when a home improvement company impresses me as being outstanding in the sea of mediocrity (or worse) that home owners must deal with these days, I wanted to share my experience.

Mr. Baesse did the original estimate for refresh. He and Lucianno showed up at the start of job. Lucianno accomplished cleaning of 59 cabinet faces and drawer faces. All nicks, scratches and bare finish was touched up and blended with original finish. All exposed cabinets were sprayed with lacquer. Knobs were removed and replaced with owner provided replacement knobs. Total job was completed in about 8 hours. Superb communications throughout the process. Lucianno did a great job. Mr Baesse showed up at completion for quality control. Great Job.

Paulo and his team did an amazing job. We had old oak cabinets from the mid 80's in out kitchen. The doors themselves were in terrible shape, but our cabinet boxes were still good so we chose to reface them instead of replace with Kitchen Tune-Up. Our kitchen isn't huge. We had 13 cabinet doors to replace. We went from old drab oak cabinets to a rich and warm maple doors with the wood veneers to cover the old oak cabinet boxes. Paulo was so patient with me especially throughout the whole design process. I wanted a certain color to match our dining room table and we got as close as possible. We had to go through a lot of samples, and he even came back a second time with more samples because he knew I wasn't satisfied with the first selection he showed us. He even called us while he was on a business trip to check in with us. He was so personable and always found a way to make what we wanted happen. We also had a custom 90''x40'' custom maple pantry built for more storage space. It came out fantastic. I forgot the name of the guy who did all the wood work for the cabinets and pantry, but he did a phenomenal job. He was very professional and always cleaned up after himself at the end of every day. Overall, we love the results we got from Kitchen Tune-up and would use them again if needed.

I had had an almost impossible time finding someone who would thoroughly clean, touch up, and reseal my 11-year old solid maple kitchen cabinets. There was wear and tear, especially to the cabinet doors below the sink, as well as grease build-up near the stove that I could no longer completely remove myself, but the cabinets didn't need to be replaced or re-doored. The kitchen tune-up service seemed just what I needed--and it was. Paulo came to inspect the cabinets and give me a price. He and his technician came a week later, and the technician got right to work. About six hours later the work was done and the cabinets look great. Paulo was careful not to over promise, and the cabinets don't look brand new, but they are clean and look ten times better than before. Paulo came back to inspect the job when it was finished. I am very happy with Kitchen Tune Up and wonder why more companies don't offer a similar service.

We are so pleased with Paulo's work, and absolutely love our new kitchen. From our first meeting, Paulo was extremely professional and explained all of our options without making us feel pressured to sign anything. We got several estimates and chose to go with Paulo, not only because he had the best price, but we also could tell from our meeting that he was very customer service oriented. My husband initially planned to work from home during the installation, but after the first few hours of their work, he felt comfortable enough with them to go back to work and gave them a key so that they could come and go as they needed. The installation took several days and after each day of the work, our kitchen was left clean and usable. After the installation, we noticed that the drawers were a slightly lighter color than the cabinet doors. Paulo explained that if we were not happy, then the job was not finished. He contacted the manufacturer of the drawers and had them create another batch that was an exact match to the rest of the kitchen. He installed the new drawers and the kitchen looks fantastic. He told us that he stands behind his work and if we have a problem with a hinge or fading several years down the line, to contact him and he will repair the problem at no additional cost. He provided us with his cell phone number and told us to call him directly if we had any questions before, during, or after the installation. I would not hesitate to use Kitchen Tune-Up again and highly recommend them for their quality of work and customer service.

We are very happy with the results of the cabinet refacing and replacement of one of our cabinets. The work completely transformed our kitchen. From the initial consultation, to completing the job, the customer service that Paulo provided was top notch. Even though our kitchen is relatively small, and this was a small job, we were treated wonderfully. Paulo spent time going through different cabinet options, quickly provided quotes for each option we liked, and provided samples to help us decide on the color/design. During the refacing, Kitchen Tune-Up was incredibly respectful of our home and carefully covered the floors and moved furniture out of the way, in order to carry in the tools and supplies needed for the job. Great care was taken each day to clean up and remove the floor coverings. The detail in the carpentry was also top notch, skilled work, and any questions we had during the process were answered right away. This project was completed in about half the cost in comparison to a quote we received from a different company. We are very happy with the quality of how this project turned out and would recommend to others.

The job went great from start to finish. The franchise manager, Paulo Baesse, was polite, professional, and responsive from the initial estimate and consultation to the completion of the job. His craftsman (whose name I unfortunately cannot remember) did a terrific job, working straight through for hours in a quiet, steady, and totally professional way. This cabinet tune-up process is amazing. The original cabinets really do look like new, without a costly replacement or refacing job. We are very pleased with the result we got for our money. Our kitchen was ready for use the same day, with absolutely no mess left behind. I would recommend this process for anyone who wants to refresh their cabinets without totally remaking their kitchen. And I would highly recommend Paulo and his Kitchen Tuneup company to anyone considering kitchen improvements.

Kitchen tune-up did a beautiful job restoring the 30+ year old cabinetry in my kitchen and three bathrooms. The transformation was amazing. They arrived on time and completed the job in one day. We couldn't be happier.

Paul and his technician were prompt and polite. Paul had explained that the cabinets would look about 80% new - he didn't want to oversell. In my view, it is closer to 90%, it took a day and was well worth the price. The technician was thorough, did not rush, did an excellent job. The cabinets shine. I am about to get a new counter top and with that, I guarantee the kitchen will look brand new.

The came at the arranged time. The worker was courteous and neat. The work was scheduled to be done in 2-3 days and was done in two. Paulo came to inspect the work when it was completed and asked me to do the same. Both were very professional.

They did a wonderful job. They left the area clean. The workers were fine. I would tell a friend that they are honest, and did a good job.

Originally, the contract was with the former franchise owners, Dan and Mary Tokarski. The job was completed in four days with assistance from Luciano DaCosta who was working with Dan and Mary to learn some of their techniques. Dan and Mary retired shortly after my job was completed and the new franchise owner Paulo Baesse was in close contact with Dan and Mary regarding the new business and present clients. There was an issue with a couple of the measurements and hardware for two of the rollout trays, but Paulo made sure I received the customer care I needed. We emailed and he even called me from Brazil to make sure everything was going smoothly! Luciano completed the installation of the trays and provided excellent service. Paulo didn't have to take these extra steps, but he is an honorable person, and I'm very pleased with his customer service and would use his company again.

Great job by a very pleasant and competent couple. Dan arrived for the estimate and told me that my cabinets (which I thought were cherry or maple) were hickory. . Since the cabinets were of solid wood and of good quality and the layout of the kitchen was functional, I saw little reason to replace them. Now my kitchen looks fresh and new thanks to Kitchen Tune-Up removing years of accumulated dirt, stains and gunk.

Very professional. Accepted multiple bids on the project, and they were competitively priced. Everything occurred on schedule, and the worksmanship is top notch. Would use again without questions.

Dan & Mary did a fantastic job! Our kitchen cabinets have a light pickled finish, which I thought would be impossible to match. They now look as good as new! The water damage, grime and wear & tear on our 22-year-old cabinets has miraculously disappeared! I thought the cost was very reasonable, especially considering the time, effort and care that Dan & Mary took in completing the job. They were prompt, professional and courteous. I enjoyed having them in my home. So did my dog, who was very comfortable with them (which is not always the case with outsiders!). I highly recommend Kitchen Tune-up!

I contacted Kitchen tune-up and got a call back from Dan who set up an appointment time to look at my project. After hearing that the cabinets that needed the work were a pickeled oak, Dan shared that they might not be able to improve on the cabinets by refurbishing them because of the nature of the pickled finish. He was on time for our appointment and after looking at the cabinets said he had good news for me -the cabinets could be refurbished. The job would take two days and they would be able to start the following week. Dan and his wife Mary did a great job on the cabinets and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.
