It went incredibly well. Not only are the new cabinet doors and drawer fronts beautiful and exactly what I wanted, but all of them are hung perfectly and evenly--a far better job than had been done on the original cabinets and drawers. The drawers, fronts, and hinges are the highest quality available. The firm's carpenter/cabinet maker is an artist and a perfectionist. Both he and the company's owner are extremely professional, always arrive exactly when they say they will, and always keep one apprised of what is going on. I can't recommend a company more highly, and I would use them again in a minute.

5 years ago we did a complete kitchen re-model and hired Kitchen Tuneup. We were completely satisfied with the look and price given us. Fast forward 5 years and a screw falls out of a folding door for a corner cabinet and the door is just hanging by the other bracket. We were unable to find the screw and couldn't get the door re-installed on our own. We called Kitchen Tuneup and the original owners have now retired. The new owner said, "not a problem. I'll be out tomorrow evening". He arrived at the time he said and brought a worker who promptly found the screw and had it all back to normal within 5 minutes. As a new owner with no prior experience with us, he certainly didn't have to do this, especially since he was not asking us to pay him either. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Love our cabinets!

We were very satisfied with Paulo and his carpenter, Herman. We received estimates from three companies. Paulo's was lower than the others, although the other companies' did offer us a discount that made them more competitive provided we signed a contract on the spot. (Call me suspicious, but I always wonder what a company doesn't want me to know when the price is good only if I sign on the spot.) We selected Paulo because his reviews were very good, the price was reasonable, and he did not try to pressure us. He gave us an estimate that was good regardless of whether we signed the contract on the spot or weeks or months later. We also researched the products offered by each of the contractors before making our selection, and Paulo's products seemed to be of good quality. He also had a wider selection of white doors and drawers than the others. Both Paulo and Herman, his carpenter, were always courteous and professional. Herman was punctual, meticulous, and cleaned up each day before he left. Although we did not have the boxes replaced because they were in pretty good shape, Herman repaired an area where there was some wear and tear and put new kick pieces along the bottom of the cabinets for no extra charge. He also installed soft close hinges/sliders on the doors and drawers. The job took 2 1/2 days. Our kitchen looks like new, and we would not hesitate to hire Paulo and Herman again if we ever need to do our bathrooms.

It went great. They arrived on time and performed the work expected and cleaned up after themselves. The cabinets look great. They worked extra **** ** one of the cabinets that had a particularly hard stain to remove. It looks much better. We are happy with the work they did for us. It truly looks so much better and we love our kitchen again! We would definitely recommend their services and use them again. They did not require a deposit for this tune-up and accepted payment in full once work was completed.

I was initially nervous about whether or not he could make me happy because I am very particular about how my house looks - I like it to look immaculate. I couldn't be happier with the final outcome! The cabinets look brand new - as I mentioned above they are in good shape but the white paint had become worn around the cabinet pulls. Luciano worked very methodically going over each cabinet to insure that any imperfection was corrected and made to look brand new. And it only took one day from start to finish. For those who have cabinets in good shape, I highly recommend this very affordable alternative. Not only did I save money I also saved time and disruption to my schedule. Thank you Kitchen Tune-up and Paulo!

Herman and Paulo were the best. So easy to work with, very accommodating for scheduling, and Herman was quiet, calm, and cheerful during the entire week of work. Paulo was flexible and I made changes during the project that he quickly implemented and got me a new quote. Highly recommend these guys. Couldn't have imagined a way for this to go quicker or easier than it did...and I love the work!

Paulo and Herman are great to work with. Paulo made many recommendations that we hadn't thought about in the beginning but we loved the results after choosing to go with his ideas. Herman is a master at his work with the cabinets and refacing. I would definitely hire Kitchen Tune up to do work for us in the future.

We had 4 companies quote the job. kitchen Tune Upwas not the cheapest but they were half the cost of the most expensive. Paulo was by far the most professional and the only one who did not ask for a signed contract on the spot. It was clear to us that he was so confident in his product and service that "preasure" selling wasn't necessary. They started the project on time and finished early. Herman (the installer) is all about quality! They cleaned up each night. One of the doors arrived from the manufacturer with a dent so Paulo ordered a replacement which arrived inside of two weeks. I can't say enough about Paulo and his style and Herman and his professionalism. They are a throwback to the trusted "hand shake" days. We are happy to provide personal references for Paulo and his company.

Paul and his team were fantastic. We met at the unit very quickly after I contacted him and walked through all of the options based on our needs and overall condition of the existing cabinets. We decided on the refurbishing option and a date was set for the work to be done. The finished product is fantastic, looks so much better almost like brand new. Will definitely be doing more work with them in the future.

Herman and Paulo did an excellent job for us. From the first phone call, to set up of appointment and then the actual work. Took seven working days to reface our cabinets in the kitchen. Herman was very prompt in getting the work done, and left the kitchen clean each day. Paulo was very responsive to any of my questions and any issues that came up during the job. Excellent, professional and very customer service oriented. I would recommend Kitchen Tune-Up to anyone who is considering getting their cabinets updated.

Kitchen Tuneup did an absolutely fantastic job. I am so happy with my new and improved kitchen. Paulo guided me through every step, very professionally explained all my options and everything went exactly as he explained. He kept in touch very promptly and for my type of job, they were able to complete it so very quickly. They were diligent and professional, and just a pleasure to work with. My cabinets are beautiful and it is just what I wanted!

I must say, Paulo and Herman are really great. They did for me exactly what they promised and within the budget we agreed to. Paolo went out of his way to be sure I was happy. He was available – there were no unreturned calls and he showed up when he said he would. Herman did an excellent job and cleaned up the work area when he was finished. It has only been two days, but I am very happy with the result.

From the beginning to the end there were no surprises or hic-ups. Responsive, fairly priced, straight forward, honest and fun to work with. The job took about 8 hours over all and we are very pleased with the new and improved appearance.

We had a wonderful experience with Kitchen Tune-up. Paulo was great to work with - he was responsive to our questions and understood the modern style we wanted. He ordered the sample material/color door so we can see exactly what we were getting before deciding. This is before we even signed a contract or put down a deposit - great customer service!! We settled on RTF material cabinet doors -- which looked great and gave us good value for our investment. Paulo even recommended going with extended door length for a contemporary look - this was at no additional costs to us. Hermann was the carpenter that installed the doors. He worked on our kitchen for 4 days but always left the area clean when he was done at the end of the day. The final product was beyond what we could have imagined. The before and after pictures below speak for themselves!! They paid great attention to details and always make sure we were happy. I have no hesitation recommending this company to my friends and family. Price wise, Kitchen Saver quoted us 15k for the same job that Kitchen Tune-up did for 8k. I was shocked at how high the Kitchen Saver proposal was and why they had so many reviews on Angie List. The Kitchen Saver salesman also gave us a high pressure sales pitch to sign the contract on the spot or else we will lose the 15% discount when he left our house. I am glad we chose to look around and found Kitchen Tune-up. We also rec'd quotes from Home Depot and Lowes. Both of them were similar in price range but their sales reps were pushing us to get new cabinet boxes despite the fact ours were in great shape and did not need to be replaced. Paulo never pushed us for extras items that we did not need. He allowed us to take our time before committing. We felt more comfortable with his proposal and approach. Overall, it was a painless process from beginning to end.

Our home was built in 1964. Kitchen cabinets are original to the house. In the almost 30 years we have lived here, we have become quite fond of the type wood chosen for the cabinets, though door/drawer fronts had understandably suffered from the tides of time. Some odd stains, smudgy areas around door pulls, and partially visible screw holes left over from previous door hardware of a different size. Cabinet "boxes", though original themselves, remained in fine shape. Being seniors now and there being just the 2 of us, we did not want to sink major $$$ into cabinet replacement for our modest kitchen. So we considered other options, did our homework, sorted through Angie's List and thankfully found Kitchen Tuneup. Paulo, the local franchise owner, was immediately responsive and came himself to do a look-see of our kitchen. He laid out the options: 1) replace the cabinets, 2) resurface them, or 3) restore the cabinet doors and drawer fronts (in other words a Tune Up.) We opted for #3. Paulo had a service opening that very weekend. He and his craftsman, Luciano, arrived promptly at the scheduled hour on a Saturday morning. We only had to clear the kitchen counter tops and make way for their gear, which was no big deal for us at all. Luciano placed padding and protective covers over the hardwood floor, corian counter tops, cook top, sink, any areas not needing attention. The first day's work was completed before noon, as promised. The second and final's day's work completed well before noon. Paulo had forewarned us of the odor from the satin-tone finish spray that would be used, so we were prepared to open windows to clear the "fumes". Smelly, yes. But even our cat tolerated the whole process without drama. Paulo did not over promise, saying he could at least guarantee 80% improvement in appearance. And we were not disappointed! The cabinets are beautiful -- better than when we bought this house years ago. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Paulo AND Luciano and the work they do. Personal, forthright, detail-oriented craftsmen. Outstanding!

Our realtor suggested we freshen up our kitchen cabinets prior to putting our house up for sale. After reading the reviews on Angies List we decided to meet with Paulo. We were impressed from the start. He talked to us about RTF - a great prodcut - looks like wood but is less expensive and easier to care for. We decided to have the cabinets in 2 of our bathrooms refaced in addition to the kitchen cabinets. Due to their busy schedule we had to wait several weeks to have the work done but we are glad we did. The end results are fabulous. The carpenter, Herman, did a wonderful job. And even tthough they were behind schedule due to the blizzard they worked extra hours and weekends to have our job completed prior to the date we needed in order to keep with our realtors schedule. We were extremely happy with the craftsmanship and their dedication to making the customer happy. We would highly recommend Kitchen Tune up.

FANTASTIC. I interviewed the spectrum from painting the cabinets to full replacement. Paulo and Herman were the most professional, and best value for the price from beginning to end. Paulo worked to find me exactly what I wanted - from cabinet style to color. I had pictures of what I wanted - bisque, glazed, raised panel cabinet doors & I wanted my island paneled as well. He also offered suggestions when asked, specifically on putting in larger cabinet doors than I had previously to make the kitchen look bigger and to switch to hidden hinges and slow closing mechanisms. He offered cost saving tips - he is all about highest value within your budget, which is phenomenal. I purchased my own knobs/pulls. In our first meeting, we discussed what they do, and then in the second meeting, they measured, we discussed details of cabinet type and we signed the contract/put down a deposit. We then waited 3 months, but it was WELL worth the wait. As scheduled, Herman, the technician, worked quietly & diligently 5 full days, cleaning up each day. He is committed to high quality and detail, and asked us for any questions or concerns along the way. The result is STUNNING. Paulo scheduled a walk-thru upon work completion and again, was very professional and committed to making us happy and ensuring we were satisfied customers. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a kitchen redo - fantastic to find a superior service provider for a reasonable price.

went very well -- looks great after the work -- the owner did the estimate himself and showed up with the technician for the first day and at the end of the second day when the project was finished to assure all done well -- technician was pleasant and very skilled
