Dan and Mary arrived on time -- everything went smooth as clockwork, and Dan even fixed a drawer that i didn't realize was broken until yesterday. Great experience, terrific job, nice honest, dependable people. For anyone looking to "tune up" their cabinets, I would definitely recommend Kitchen Tune Up. The owners actually do the work themselves and obviously work well as a team.

My experience with Dan and Mary has been a very pleasant one from the very beginning. Mary was prompt in calling me back to set up an appointment. Dan came out (right on time) to provide an estimate and was very professional and informative. He did not push me to get a re-facing. He respected my decision to go with restoring and was very clear as to what I can expect from the restoring job. Mary called me back on the same day to set up a date and time to come out to my house to do the job. When they came out to do the job (which was today, and right on time again), they started to work on the cabinets as soon as they got here. I was home while the work was performed, but I don't even know if they took a lunch break or not. Only time they walked away from the kitchen was to go to the bathroom. They diligently worked on the cabinets all day. They swept the floors after the work was completed. There was no mess left behind. Now, my cabinets look as good as new - clean and no more traces of wear and tear, resulting from 30 years of use. I am extremely happy with how it all turned out. I wish they provide more services relating to the kitchens like installing back-splashes so I can use them for more jobs !

We did not work with the company but I would highly recommend considering them at least during the estimate process. We learned a lot about the process and had many questions answered without any sort of pushiness. The experience prepared us for some of the pushier "estimates" (read: buy our product or else!).

They were punctual and professional. They helped me with the selection of new kitchen hardware and they did a fantastic and fabulous job on the cabinets. The change is not dramatic or obvious, it is very subtle, which shows quality workmanship. When they say they restore, they really restore. If you want to change your cabinets because you do not like the way they look, then reface. If you want to keep your cabinets and just have them look good again, definitely look into Kitchen Tune Up by Mr. and Mrs. Tokarski.

Our experience was very good. It is a husband and wife team and they are very nice to work with. It was easy to schedule a time, and they worked from morning till night. It took a little over a day and we weren?t disrupted.

We wanted to renovate the kitchen in the condo that we rent, but we did not want to spend a lot of money, which we told each person who made an estimate. In addition to Kitchen Tune-up, we also had estimates made by Sears and Home Depot. Sears and Home Depot were only interested in selling us a very expensive package (refacing) and would not even consider just replacing the doors and drawers (the basic cabinets were in good shape and were very sturdy). Their estimates were about $10,000, and they never even followed-up to see what we had decided. Kitchen Tune-up worked with our wishes from the beginning and were supportive of our decision to only replace the doors and drawers. The material came in less than a month, and it was all installed soon after in less than a day. The work went off without a hitch and the kitchen looks beautiful.

They lived up to their estimate and they arrived on time. They finished when they said they would finish and the job was exquisitely performed. I'm very satisfied with the quality of their work and they left everything clean. I couldn't have asked for a better job.

When Dan came for the initial visit, he was very thorough and answered all our questions well. He had a large notebook of other refacings he and his wife had done to show us examples. The next visit was for measuring the exact dimensions of the cabinets which took an hour. The installation took 2 days of three people working non-stop from 9 to 5. My husband was home and was very impressed with their work ethic. Our old cabinets were builder-grade white laminate. We now have beautiful solid maple doors. The laminate on the sides of the cabinets looks great, too.

They were fantastic. I couldn't say enough good things about them. I have a very difficult time choosing color and style. In an hour and a half Dan helped me choose the cabinet style and stain, as well as a matching counter top which was an amazing for me.

Form estimate to completion, Kitchen Tune Up was a pleasure to wotk with. They brought our cabinets back to luster, and made a huge improvements to our kitchen. They were true to their estimate. Dan and Mary worked meticulously in our kitchen and were very pleasant and professional. The fact that we had four feet of snow on the ground did not make a difference. The restotration was a successful alternative to cabinet replacement or refacing in our case. Whate ever direction you go, we highly recommend Kitchen Tune up for your kitchen.

Dan came over and spent time telling us his opinion as what needed to be done to improve the condition of our cabinets. He was honest in his opinion which I appreciate. We followed his recommendation to have our cabinets restored. I was called the night before the scheduled appointment to confirm the time. Dan and Mary arrived in a timely fashion. They worked diligently and thoroughly for 5 hours cleaning and restoring the cabinets. They were very professional in all aspects of this project. We would use them again!

The process was smooth as silk with Kitchen Tune-up. Everything was completed as described and when promised. Dan and his wife are charming and worked through our kitchen in four days to reface the cabinets and build new drawers.

This was a great experience from start to finish. I knew what to expect at every step, the work done was high quality and efficient and Dan and Mary are as nice and professional as can be and they do vey good work. I highly reccomend them!

Professional job from start to finish. Met expectations in every way. One door didn't shut properly with new hinge so Dan returned to job, took cabinet off the wall and made adjustments for no additional charge.

Kitchen Tune-up was able to give us an appointment within two weeks and arrived exactly when they told us to expect them. They looked at the work to be done, gave us an estimate, took measurements, and gave us a delivery date and time. When they came back to install, they were on time, neat, efficient, and great to work with. The installation took a couple of hours but went smoothly. The installer mentioned that they don't usually accept small jobs but people are postponing big jobs because of the economy so they are taking whatever comes their way and they manage to stay busy. We have found that generally true of other good companies.

They did an excellent job in taking the measurements. They came and measured three separate times and it took probably about a week to get an estimate back. They took their time developing the estimates and plans. The plans were very good. They recommended very good cabinets for me and gave me a steep discount on the cabinets. The work was extremely meticulous. The cabinets were very well installed. I have been using the kitchen for six months now and it has worked out very well. They provided excellent advice too.

Dan came with samples - he brought exactly what I had described as the look we were going for in our kitchen. He told us our cabinets were in great shape and were high quality and that he would not suggest or encourage us to reface our cabinets. We wanted to reface or paint our cabinets as we do not like the color of the maple cabinets. He said he would be happy to sell us refacing but that he believed that it would be a mistake to reface cabinets in as good a shape as ours and of high quality. We agreed when we found he would be saving us $9000 - $11000 to reface our kitchen!

We found this company on Angie's List, but we met them at a trade show. This company had to pick up where someone else left off. They were able to solve our problem. They were prompt and professional. The results are wonderful and we are happy.

Here's the email I sent to the owner, Dan, after he completed the job: I wanted to express my thanks to you and your son-in-law for a great job! It's exactly what I needed. The kitchen cabinets look wonderful, and I appreciate the details - spiffied up the hinges so they too look good as new and put on the door and drawer bumpers. The cabinets now complement the new counter top - perfect. Your work was most dramatic on the bathroom vanities. With the moisture damage apparent on the doors, I'm surprised at how well the finish came out as a result of your work. Remodeling and home repair generally creates a lot of waste. I am much happier with your approach than doing unnecessary replacing or refacing of the cabinets and vanities.

Dan came by to explain his service and to give us an estimate. We are not planning to be in the house too much longer and new cabinets would have been at least twice the price. Once we decided he had the best product for the price (he was a couple thousand dollars cheaper than a larger retail contractor we got a quote from), he came back to take the exact measurements. The cabinets arrived in within the quoted time frame. Dan was flexible regarding installation, due to some personal commitments on our end, he had to re-arrange his schedule to accommodate ours. The job took about 2 1/2 days and Dan and his son-in-law did an outstanding job. Not as much of a mess as I thought it would be, and the cabinets look great! Very happy with the results.

I am very happy, the cabinets look great and the price was a lot cheaper than refacing. After an email and phone call Glen came out, gave me an estimate which we agreed too, and he took a door to do a color match. He met my time line and took only one day to complete everything.

They did an excellent job! They arrived on time and covered all of the work surfaces. Cleaned everything up at the end of the day. Left us a bottle of polish to use on the surface.

I originally called to get an estimate on refacing the cabinets, which turned out to be quite a bit more expensive than I had thought (Dan's estimate was in line with one of his competitors, however.). Dan suggested that, since we were otherwise happy with our cabinets, that we consider refurbishing (basically cleaning and polishing, repairing damage, and tightening). When it turned out that he and his colleague finished earlier than they predicted, Dan waived the fee for installing handles and pulls on his own initiative.
