PERMA TREAT PEST CONTROL

Description of Work: I had a mouse problem which started 4 years ago at a rental property. I hired Perma Treat to take care of the problem. I signed up for a Quarterly Service with them and paid $85.00 for each treatment for four years. All they did was maintain the problem by putting poison in traps and throwing poison in the ceiling area in the basement. During this time, they said they could not get rid of the problem, because they couldn't find out where the mice were coming in from. Several times over the four years they did an inspection, but never found where they were coming in from. They said that they sealed the area in the attic where the vents were. Also a new guy was assigned to my house to do the quarterly treatments. Several times my tenants complained about this guy that he was not doing a good job. I complained and they told me that they would sent someone else. They never did...it was always this same guy. He obviously didn't like his job nor did he care. Once my tenants left in June, 2011 they wanted me to take down the ceiling in the basement so they could see where the mice were coming in. They wanted to see once the ceiling was down if they could see any openings to the outside through the brick. That was very costly for me to take down the ceiling then have a new ceiling put in. Also at this time, they raised their prices from $85.00 to $90.00 for a quarterly service. I had three Pest Control Companies come out once my tenants were gone. All three found the problem with an inspection of the house. The mice were coming in through the attic. They all told me that Perma Treat did a terrible job sealing up the attic. It was obvious that Perma Treat never went into the attic to check it out. I hired Connor's Pest Control to get rid of the mice. They sealed up the attic and have been out twice to check on the status of the mice. On both times, there have been NO evidence of any mice activity in the attic or in the house. No droppings have been found since Connor's started treating the house. While up in the attic they also found an opening in the construction that the mice were using to get down to the basement. They sealed that up as well. Perma Treat never noticed that opening. So for four years I had been paying and wasting my money with Perma Treat Pest Control. This mouse problem could have been fixed, not just controlled. I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants there problem fixed. All they want is for you to sign up with a Quarterly Contract to maintain the situation and take your money.....not to fix the problem.
