Outdoor Solutions

We planned to do this work about five years ago. We worked with Evan from Outdoor Solutions to develop the plan and the costs. For several years, we would be ready to move forward and then an unexpected expense would come up and we would delay. Evan was patient and understanding. When we finally decided to have the job completed, the Outdoor Solutions team started on a Friday. They worked Saturday and then on Monday they were done by mid-day. The results are beautiful - see the attached photos. The patio looked this good by noon on that Monday with sod restored and a high quality product - rebar, concrete foundation, excellent grading. This was one the most hassle-free contractor jobs we have ever completed.

Evan is a great efficient business man and very easy to work with. He was always making suggestions and helping to create exactly the patio design I was looking for. I consider his team as first class. They all worked hard and created a masterpiece. His timing was perfect and changes along the way perfectly handled. I cannot say anything negative because he was so good.

Evan and his crew are extremeley professional, prompt, did an expert job, and charged a reasonable fee.  We were very impressed and highly recommend them for any landscaping needs.  Evan even provided softscape advice and planted a >20 ft tree at a reasonable fee.  Will use them for every yard project in the future.

After obtaining three drawings and estimates, we chose Outdoor Solutions to add a multi-level random regular flagstone patio to our existing porch. The job was complicated by a drainage ravine running through our backyard. Evan found a way to maintain drainage and level out the backyard with a drainage box and plastic piping system. This made our usable backyard space bigger and allowed us to add another circular patio/conversation area. Evan's design was superior to the other landscapers in that he was able to solve not only the drainage problem aesthetically but also added a landing between the rectangular patio near the house and the circular patio accomodating the basement walkout beautifully. He was also the only designer who included landscaping beds/plants in his drawing without being asked. When I told him how much I liked the landscaping ideas he just said he didn't want the landscaping to feel like an afterthought. I agree. The whole design feels very well planned.
During the project, Evan was on-sight daily and available for discussions and questions. The workers were polite and friendly. They came promptly every morning at 7:30 and worked through each day with very few breaks (and it was in the mid 90's all week). The work is absolutely beautiful. The flagstones were artfully laid, level, and the different colored blocks are perfectly reflected throughout. I came home from work today and was amazed at the complete project. The tracks in the yard from the wheelbarrow and bobcat were seeded and covered. The beds have graceful but sharp lines. There was even sod around the patio that I wasn't expecting. The backyard patio is ready to use and looks professionally designed and executed.  There was no debris and the patio was swept and is ready to use. 
On top of the beautiful work, Evan is a super nice guy and was communicative and professional throughout. The project remained completely on budget and was even finished ahead of schedule.
We have already scheduled him to install a fireplace, seating walls, and lights in the spring! Two enthusiastic thumbs up for Evan and Outdoor Solutions.
