Scott and Whitney Nicholson came out to set help me design and buildout for my new salon space. They were so great and professional. We’re working now on finalizing details and I can hardly wait to start our project together.

We're using OHI Design to renovate our master bathroom. It's a joy working with Whitney and Scott. We love that they marry beautiful design with practicality. I got a few quotes from different companies before I ultimately decided to go with OHI. I choose them because they were very open and honest about everything leading up to me signing my contract. Scott and Whitney came to my home to give me a free estimate and talked to me about what I wanted and what to expect during the remodeling process. I liked the fact that they weren’t trying to up-sell me and worked with me to do everything I wanted within my budget. They came to me with a computer design and we worked together to make everything perfect for my home. I highly enjoyed working with them and highly recommend them to anyone who wants to update their home and do it with little stress. They communicated with me throughout the process and made me aware of everything that was going on. I love my new kitchen and bathroom!

OHI Design’s team was great! They came to our house and took some measurements and within 3 days they had a design on the computer for us to look at. The process went very smoothly down to the day of completion. Excellent communication with multiple members of the team throughout the project. We are recommending them to all of our friends!

It went as well as I could have expected. OHI came to my house the day after I contacted them and reviewed my project. I had an estimate the next day for much lower than a previous one. The work was completed ahead of scheduled, and I am quite pleased with the result. Throughout the project, communication was top notch as were any responses to my concerns. I have had 4-6 renovations or additions done on my house in the past. This was by far my best experience.

We are a little disappointed, they install double oven on the wall and it is not good. The ventilation there has a leak on the pipe so we can smell the things we cook because they did not seal it properly. The refrigerator was installed incorrectly. The quality of the cabinets is not good as we expected.

It was wonderful. They were on time. They were collaborative. They kept us on budget.

It was really good! The marketing was professional, it was helpful, the manager came with materials so they can show me, they took care of all the permits. Design capability, awareness, complete management of the project. If I had an idea they would do it, the crew were all nice, I was just extremely satisfied with them and I actually recommended them to my friends.

It went terribly. Sometimes a worker was in the apartment for hours on end without doing anything, did the work wrong, went ahead with plans without getting the approval of the project manager, and left a constant flow of trash on our balcony let alone the pile of supplies in our living room. They couldn't actually remove the existing tub, but initially weren't going to refund us for the cost of the new tub and the labor to remove the old existing tub. We had the tub reglazed instead by an outside company and then went the workers came in to clean the wall tile, as it had already stained yellow instead of white, they stood in the newly glazed tub and chipped it. Lastly, the plumber they used installed the water stop incorrectly and our building engineers had to hammer through the newly laid tile to fix a leak caused by the bad plumbing. The final product looks good, but we will never use this company again.

Great! My client was very impressed by Mr. Ohi's knowledge and benefitted greatly from his advice. She felt much more confident purchasing her home after meeting with him and getting his advice.

GREAT! We went to the home show and talked to three different contractors. They all came out to the house and spent time talking to us about what we wanted. OHI rose to the top! Gary's years of experience, knowledge and easy going demeanor really made it an easy decision. With a job this size things cropped up but our weekly meeting with the project coordinator, Steve, kept us well informed. When things happened, they were always immediately addressed and resolved. The crew performing the work was quick, efficient and polite--they were always aware they were in our home and treated it with respect. I have already recommended OHI to several friends looking to have work done in their homes and will continue to do so.

I am pleased with the final result of my remodeled master bathroom. Both the design and execution—with one exceptions—once work began seemed to support my selection of one of the higher bids among five or six I gathered. Work did not begin timely because somehow my project, which had to wait for condominium approval, was “lost in the shuffle” before end-of-year holidays. Once work started, by my estimate 3-4 weeks at least later than it should have, it was executed well and reasonably timely (expecting that there never is a project that is really done as rapidly as expected initially). I was billed the final installment and paid for a completed project; however, I learned nearly 7 months later, the project had not actually been officially completed. OHI “overlooked” getting final County inspections. Only when I was getting ready to sell the unit did I learn that County inspections were still open. OHI then compounded that negligence by failing to have someone present—as it had agreed to do—at my condominium to meet County inspectors (who will not enter a unit unaccompanied). Only thanks to my condominium association staff did the permits get closed. Because of its negligence in failing to get final inspections done before the company actually represented to me that the project was complete, and its negligence in not fulfilling its responsibility to ensure the company, not my condominium association that is not responsible for OHI’s negligence, met the County inspectors, I would never consider working with the firm on future projects and would caution anyone else considering working with the firm to choose another.

They started in July and finished in September. The designer was very good. The bad was the project management, and the actual execution of their project. We caught them trying to put the tiles in the wrong direction. They tried to put in the cabinetry before they did the wall, it was very poor. I would not recommend them to an enemy. The designer was wonderful. They were supposed to put in a pocket door, but they started to put the cabinetry before hand. They hadn't knocked down the wall so we had to stop them. They put them off to another site and the project manager was horrible, he was not on the job, and he was a brother of one of the owners. I wanted better from them, and I expected better from them, and I did not get it. The designer was very professional. The other people were Latinos.

Came to our house on 3-11-16 to measure and see what we needed to give us a bid for a kitchen remodel. He was prompt and courteous and the job is not that big of a job.....however....as of 3-21-16 we have had NO response from anybody at this company. We were told we would get their bid the beginning of the week following his initial visit which would have been March 15th or so. We have had NO communication from them at all. Pretty lousy customer service. At least have the courtesy to send the bid or tell us that you would not be sending.

OHI did an excellent job. They delivered an excellent proposal, they were more expensive then anyone else and we requested a proposal for. The construction manager was quick to respond and they cleaned up everything everyday until the job was done.

We picked OHI because of their excellent Angie's List rating. Ray Gabler did an excellent job with the design. He didn't pressure us into anything. He was responsive and helpful. On the other hand, Steve, our "project manager" didn't manage very well at all. I had to constantly check in with him to see if anyone would be coming today, what the status was, what the hold ups were, etc. Our kitchen was missing. This wasn't a side project that we could deal with being a little slow to finish. Example: We were promised that the kitchen sink would be installed before the weekend. At the end of the day on Friday, one guy stopped by to let my husband know that the sink "fell of the back of the truck" and was damaged. I contacted Steve (again) to find out what the problem was. He was unaware that the sink hadn't been installed. Made me wonder how much project management was really happening if he was missing these kind of milestones. Because this project was such a headache, we opted to sell the house rather than fix other problems. The home inspector found all kinds of issues with the install. The polarization of the electrical outlets was backwards. When OHI sent Nelson back out, he commented that this was how they did all their outlets. So, every house they've done has been wrong. There were some wiring issues in the attic that they had not completed to code as well. I always wondered what else they didn't do right. The whole project wasn't quite a nightmare, but it was definitely approaching "bad dream". Bottom line: look somewhere else.

Last year OHI renovated our kitchen. They did an outstanding job and when it came time to do the bathrooms, there was no question as to whom we would call. All work has been done with outstanding craftsmanship and professionalism. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Work was performed in just over three days. OHI was very professional for the whole process. After contacting OHI, they responded to meet very quickly and we setup an appointment to come out to the house and see what needed to be done. Ray provided me with a quote on the spot. Next they came out again to verify all measurements. Finally within a week, the project manager contacted me and came by two put a lock box on my door just prior to work starting. The workers were able to come and go during the day while I was out. They got the jobs done in about 4 days. Hardwood floor looks great! They were neat, efficient, and detail oriented.

We found OHI through the internet, and we compared them against other personal referrals. OHI appeared to us to be the most professional and reliable of the businesses that we selected to interview. When it came time to evaluate the designs, none of the competition allowed us to keep any of their plan diagrams (understandable and fair- I've seen ridiculous complaints here that OHI was withholding from a customer! That's absurd- they should protect their ideas, as should any decent business in the field), but we took good notes about what each of the competition could offer and the various prices. OHI had the best design, by far, although the price was only slightly more. We selected OHI, because of how smoothly the design proposal process went with them. They were flexible in tweaking various ideas and brainstorming, before a final price could be settled upon. They were very transparent on the pricing process, which led us to believe that the project would go smoothly as we encountered issues and made necessary changes along the way. That proved to be the case. OHI was extremely accommodating and flexible throughout the construction process. Each day, the house was put back together as neatly as possible. The work continued quickly, and we were kept informed throughout the construction. We give OHI our highest rating, and we recommend them without any hesitance. We are in need of various items prior to renting out our house, and OHI has been helpful in taking a look to see what fixes can be made so that our future tenants will have minimal issues with the home while we are overseas. We considered selling our house, but the master bathroom that OHI designed and built is just SO good, that we cannot bear to leave the house!

We hired OHI Design to completely renovate our kitchen. Paul's design was superb - he fully met our needs and was very patient. The construction crew did an outstanding job in completing the project. The job involved a complete demo of our existing kitchen. New cabinets and appliances were installed. All plumbing and electrical work was flawlessly installed. The construction crew kept the work area very clean throughout the project. The new kitchen turned out very nice!! We are very happy with OHI Design and will use them again for future projects.

The construction went smoothly with Steve managing the job. The work was professional and well done. The issues are with the follow up from Rod and the rest of the office. We had needed to have some follow up for our punch list done for the floors. Weeks would go by after reaching out to Rod with no response. We would call or email again. This dragged on for a long time. Eventually, after some very confusing follow up and confrontation, we have moved on to get the items taken care of at our own cost.
