I called on 9/9 after the 2nd rain storm. They said the wait would be two weeks. I called 2 weeks later and asked... so when can we scehedule an actual appointment. So they booked me for 9/23 from 5-6pm so that I would not have to take too much time off. I left work early. I waited until 8pm... no one showed, no one called. Waited to get al call all weekend from them to see what they had to say for themselves. Still no call. So I called them... I said "I took off work Friday, where were you?" - They apologised and sent someone out the next day at a time of my convenience. So Mr. Randall Butterfield came and right on time too. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and explained everything! He told us the minimum estimate for the company to come out and do a job would be $2250 and is gaurunteed not to leak after their work. He said that the work we need done would fall into that $2250 and the price would not go over that amount. The price is great, much less than what we thought it would be/what other companies quoted. We will probably go with them for the work - more updates to come if we do.

I called for an estimate regarding flooding in our crawl space after a heavy rain. I was told that the wait list was 4 weeks, but they had an opening only two weeks out. I schedule my appointment for 9/20/11 from 11am-12pm. The day before the company called to confirm our appointment stating it was from 10-11am. I did not receive the message until late that night. Because this was different from the time I had written down, I called first thing in the morning (7:41am) to confirm the time of my appointment. The woman on the phone stated that my appointment was indeed 11am-12pm. I let her know that I was arranging to have someone at my house and they may be a few minutes late. She assured me that wouldn't be a problem.The afternoon came and went with no visit. I called at 2pm to ask is someone was still coming. The person who answered the phone said that I did not have an appointment that day and must have the wrong company or the wrong day. I explained that someone had called the day before to confirm the appointment AND I had called that morning and confirmed the appointment. Again I was told that I did not have an appointment and someone would have to call me back because they had two other calls on hold.When my phone call was returned I was again told that I did not have an appointment, no one there confirmed my appointment that morning, and I was not listed anywhere on their schedule for the next month. The only way they were willing to help me was if I knew the name of the person who was supposed to be coming to give the estimate, which I was not given when I scheduled the appointment. They offered to reschedule my appointment, but by this point I had totally lost my faith in their ability to follow through on a scheduled appointment.When I arrived home from work, I had a voice mail from the person who was to be giving me an estimate. He called at 9:43, not even two hours notice, to say that his scheduled at changed and he wouldn't be coming to our area, but I could reschedule for Friday.Once I figured out the confusion, I called the office again to explain what happened and the response I received was, "I will pass your comments on to the office." Not even an apology for the complete disregard for my time and inconvenience or their mismanagement of the situation. If this is the manner in which scheduling appointments is handled, I have no faith that this company can actually complete the work they say they will.

Jim McCabe came out to look at 2 leaks in the basement of our 150yr+ house. He arrived on time. He was very thorough in examining all the possible causes, and then suggested that what we needed was surface exterior work - specifically for a mason to re point, caulk and seal a plethora of gaps around the foundation and wall. He said that while his company could do some of the work, they would charge more than I needed to pay. I appreciated that even once he determined that the work wasn't in their line of specialty (they do underground work like pumps, digging, waterproofing at the basement level), he still took the time to measure and pinpoint exactly the different spots I should focus on. Then he told me exactly what I should ask a mason to do, including writing down the types of materials.I appreciated the time he spent with me.

I haven’t had the work done yet. They quoted me about $10000. My overall experience with them was fine. They were very professional. They came out and gave a very well put together estimate.

They didn’t charge to discover the problem. They were extremely skilled in finding the source of the problem. They were very responsive and came early for the appointment. They were very professional. I would use them again.

They were prompt and knowledgeable. They showed up on time and performed the work beautifully. Their service was excellent. We were very pleased.

They were straightforward but I ended up not working with them. They basically suggested that it wasn’t worth it because of the amount of money that it would cost. I appreciate that they were forward with me about that.

They seemed professional and competent. They followed up and called back. They seemed very nice but what they proposed was out of our budget. They had quoted me $5000 for that work.

Their price seemed fine and average compared to the other estimates I got. The guy who came knew what he was talking about. I will use them again in the future for a quote.

Fine -- i didn't need work done. Mr McCabe didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need -- gave me free advice and saved me a boatload of money.

Work was scheduled to start between 8:30am and 9:00pm Monday morning. At 10:00am I called the company to find out why the crew was not at my house. I was told that their trailer had a flat tire so the workmen would be delayed. A couple of hours later, I received a call explaining an axle had broken so most likely the workmen would not be able to come out to my house. I discovered later their trailer had been in an accident. I rescheduled for Friday and the same time window was provided – the workmen would be at my house between 8:30am and 9:00am. At 9:15am, I called the office – Jane said she thought the crew was already at my home, but she would check. She checked and let me know that the workmen would arrive within ½ hour to 45 minutes. Rain was expected late in the day and I wanted this job completed before the rain started due to the nature of work. I called Mr. McCade as I was concerned aobut the job being completed in a timely manner. After listening to my concerns about communication, he understood and made sure that I was kept informed. Two workmen arrived and were polite and worked diligently. Roberto, the supervisor had to go out to purchase additional supplies and the employee that continued to work did not understand English so I had to wait until Roberto returned to ask questions about the work being done.

They were very prompt, professional and the price was reasonable. They took care of it within a day. It was hard to get in touch with them because they have a third party service that answers their phones and it was hard me to call them back.

They were prompt, clean with their work area and were careful in maintaining the quality of the landscaping and very responsive on various ways to attack the problem and come up with solutions to solve it.

So far it has been so good. The plan that they had was a good one at a reasonable cost. They seemed very knowledgeable about how to deal with water in basement. The crew was friendly did a good job keeping things clean. They did things on time and on budget.

Excellent sales representative, excellent working crew and production manager. After they finish, you won't notice any difference, nice and clean like before. Very professional job, show ed on time; reasonable price, extra advices, so much extra to list. I am very satisfied with their job. Highly recommended.

I purchased a house in Fairfax County during the Spring of last year, only to discover that the basement had significant water issues. Water was entering through the foundation walls as well as the seams between the floor and walls, this was due to the water table rising significantly during even a slightest rain. I had to remove all the finishing work in the basement, as mold began to grow and it quickly became apparent that it was simply put into place to sell the house. I went with NV Waterproofing, despite not being listed on Angie's List, as a co-worker of mine recommended them. He purchased a house a couple of years ago whose previous owner had hired NV Waterproofing. He had a minor issue occur in his basement, and he contacted NV Waterproofing regarding the issue. They promptly came to his home and corrected the issue, (at no charge), honoring their work. He was so impressed that he hired them to a back up system to his pumps, and recommended them to me after hearing my issues. In today's world a guarantee doesn't mean what it used to, but to NV it does. So I asked NV Waterproofing to provide an estimate for resolving my problem. Their price was the most reasonable of all the estimates I received factoring in the work, materials and equipment provided (battery back up systems.) They worked with me on the best time to start work, and all throughout the process. In addition to the two sump pump wells and two battery backup systems, I have a plastic liner all the way to grade on the complete perimeter of the basement. In short, not a drop of water is getting by. It took their excellent crew three days to do, even during this historic snow storm for DC area. The trench dug outside for water drainage was restored to it's original condition with the grass replaced. I was impressed. If you've got basement issues, give NV Waterproofing a shot.
