Some miss communication between the estimator and actual movers of what items were involved. Regardless the workers and onsite supervisor did their best to keep the client (me) satisfied.

My Truck Buddy arrived ten minutes before the scheduled start time of 9:00 am. We received a confirming call two days before verifying the start time and date of our move. Although we did not ask for them, the movers were prepared with moving blankets and fitted plastic bags for our to enclose our bed mattress. Andrew and his crew of Sunny and Delshawn worked non-stop from the time that they arrived, were very polite, careful with all of our furniture, including a glass table top that was large and very heavy. These movers exceeded our expectations, did not break anything or scratch the walls, and were all very hard-working!! We were very pleased with the move and would recommend them to anyone looking for a local move that is reasonably priced with hard workers and gave them good tips as a token of our appreciation of their efforts (and on a very hot day) and professionalism. Thank you "My Truck Buddy."

The move went very smoothly. My Truck Buddy sent a team of three to my apartment. They were professional and arrived on time. They finished my move in approximately two hours. My move was not easy as I was moving out of a four story walk up to a 1920's building with a narrow staircase and a tiny elevator. They made it look easy with no damage to any of my items - even the Ikea furniture. I would absolutely recommend My Truck Buddy to anyone with a small move.

This was my 2nd or third time using them. The previous time, I needed to move everything from a townhouse basement to a storage unit because a drainage system needed to be installed in the basement. They arrived on time, spoke English, worked hard, loaded up everything from the basement (which was already packed in boxes), took it to the storage unit and arranged it the way I wanted it to get at it.. This time, I had completed going through 2 10x15 storage units of items from my parents estate and wanted to consolidate everything into one unit. We knew we would be moving out of state within a year, and so didn't want the items in the 5x10 unit moved back to the townhouse. The guys from My Truck Buddy were excellent and worked to get everything consolidated into one unit AND make sure I had access to the boxes that I needed to. Wonderful guys, great service, great attitudes. Would definitely use again if I was in the area.

The move was very well orchestrated, and the staff were professional and good natured. They were careful and thoughtful about how my possessions were stacked in the truck - and although I had more than the original estimate, they moved it all without a hitch. I have already referred them to two other people, including my fiance! Kudos to My Truck Buddy!

the whole experience from my initial inquiry, getting an estimate to confirming the date was handled professionally and in a timely manner. the movers were pleasant, courteous and fast. they handled our belongings carefully. I would definitely use them again and will refer them to friends.

I selected MTB because a friend had used and really liked them and because of Angie's List reviews. The movers showed up on time and loaded everything very quickly. I did have damage to one bed frame. I initially contacted MTB to let them know what happened and was surprised and disappointed when I did not receive a response. After posting to Angie's List Chris called me to let me know that they had discovered that my email had been ended up in the wrong folder, which is why I hadn't received a response. He apologized for the miscommunication and offered to remedy the problem. I am sorry if my original review sounded a little rude. I am pleased with their response and would recommend their services.

The services requested were to move the contents of one storage unit to another that was more convenient to our home. From the initial contact, My Truck Buddy was very responsive and timely with their reply, gave an accurate estimate, and were able to respond to our schedule options easily. They provided a highly capable and professional team that worked well together, and independently when necessary, worked energetically, and were very friendly and just as interested in taking care of our belongings as were we. They arrived in a very punctual manner, fully and appropriately equipped, and immediately set to work with a minimum of preamble. Despite the fact that it was a very hot day with a high heat index, they maintained an energetic and steady work rate, and yet were mindful of safety when working in such conditions. They were very willing and readily answered our questions and concerns with professionalism and affability, plus easily gave recommendations for the utilization of space at our delivery location that resulted in easy access to our goods. It is very clear that My Truck Buddy is very customer oriented, focused on their client's satisfaction, provides superior value, and has very high standards. We would definitely come to them for such future moving needs, and we highly recommend them to the community! We could not be more pleased!!

Having moved 14 times in a 28 year military career, I can honestly say My Truck Buddy is the best in the business! The crew that moved me this weekend was simply outstanding!! They were prompt, courteous, professional, and extremely meticulous...and more importantly, they were customer focused!! I could not have asked for three better "buddies" to move my household goods! Kudos to Sean, Prescott, and Troy...they are the best of the best...and this old man, greatly appreciated their work ethics and attitude!! As to the cost --- MTB is extremely reasonable...suffice to say, no one comes close!!

My Truck Buddy was wonderful to work with. They worked around several date changes and responded right away when I needed to change dates due a settlement change. They were flexible in revising my original price quote after I decided to not take some furniture etc. The moving crew called the morning of the move with a estimated time of arrival and to go over parking/loading areas. The 3 man crew was great to deal with and introduced themselves to me and explained the game plan to me. They made quick work of the job and with all my boxes and totes. I followed the suggestions and tips in the MTB Moving Guide (a great resource!) and it really helped to cut down on the time. The crew had my old condo moved out in about an hour. Once we arrived at the new condo, they tackled the 3 flights of steps with ease and good humor while making sure everything was placed where I wanted it. They were great with wrapping the large furniture items in plastic and my glass items in padded blankets. The total moving cost came in at the low end of the estimate and was lower than any of the 3 other estimates I got. If I move again, I will be using My Truck Buddy!

This company is ideal for smaller moves or in-home moving that requires a professionalism, efficiency, and strength that you can't get from family members or well-meaning friends. The first time, we used My Truck Buddy was for an in-home move as we needed help moving a large (heavy) rug from one room to the next, and some heavy furniture up from a storage basement to other rooms in our home. The most recent time we used them to help move my aging parents downsize from their home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, to an assisted living facility in Northern Virginia. The one-bedroom apartment my parent moved into didn't have much space for furniture, but it was much more stuff than we could handle, and larger moving companies weren't interested. My father had been living at home with in-home nursing care, so the move included his hospital bed and a specially equipped recliner -- two pieces of furniture that required special handling. They also moved a large antique armoire, a large antique desk, and two other antiques that required great care and careful pre-move padding, etc. One of the pieces was too large to move down from an upstairs bedroom because they couldn't get the right angle to negotiate down a flight of stairs. They solved the problem by removing a section of the handrail and bannister, which they replaced after successfully moving the piece downstairs (at no extra charge). The two men who helped us were punctual, professional, patient, and very kind as this "downsizing" move was an emotional one for my family. It was hard work -- probably much harder than they had estimated -- and they worked longer hours than estimated. Through it all, they remained professional. They charged according to their estimate. (And we tipped them well!) My entire family has nothing but praise for My Truck Buddy and their staff.

My first impression and interaction on the phone was very positive. I spoke with the Manager, David several times on the phone and email. He was very responsive and reachable which was very important. I was looking for someone to do a quick simple move. We had purchased a used Elliptical from a friend and needed to move it from Springfield to Alexandria. Since it was quite heavy we didn't want to do it ourselves and was looking for movers. The challenge I kept running into with other moving services was that although they would do small jobs, they still charged high rates at least $400+ to make it worth their time. My Truck Buddy just charged a flat rate of $200 which I thought was very fair and worth it for us. They brought 2 guys and the whole process took about an hour and half from pick up to delivery. They called when they were on their way to the pick up location to give us notice. When they were delivering it to my Sterling location, they were very patient as I checked the bottom of the elliptical for any dirt/mud before bringing it into the house. Considering the elliptical was very heavy I really appreciated their patience and professionalism while I cleaned off the bottom. I had them move it a few times to the exact spot I wanted and once again, they were very patient. I found the movers to be very professional and courteous. They were on time and did a great job. I would use them again for big and small jobs.

Chris and the young man helping him were fantastic and very professional. Definitely would use them again. Very polite and courteous. I chose My Truck Buddy based on the reviews through "Angie's List." I was well pleased. Grateful for Angie's List and definitely grateful to My Truck Buddy!

On very short notice I was so glad to find a mover just before Christmas to do this move. I was extremely pleased by this company's efficiency and professionalism. They were on time, with a clean well equipped truck, pleasant young men who knew how to move furniture and exceedingly kind. They even made possible the second part of this move on Christmas Eve which I did not expect to be able to achieve. I will definitely use them again and recommend them highly. The online form they ask you to fill out is easy and provides the addresses of the move and serves to confirm when the move is on in writing. The owner David Swain, and the operations manager are always also available by phone, and communications with them were clear and responses prompt. The form just confirms that everyone is going to the right addresses at the right times. I liked the whole process. Perfect moving company for in city moves!

They were very polite and nice on the phone and when they came to give the estimate. They were a few minutes late for the appointment to give the estimate, but they apologized when they arrived. I didn't even notice that they were late. They walked around our house and made a list of everything that needed to be packed and then told us how much they would charge. They also said they would wrap all our furniture and keep it in a locked truck overnight, so it would be protected, since we needed to move out one day and move into a new house the next. We liked them, but we don't really have anything that needs that much protection. We also don't have the funds to use them. If we had nicer stuff or more money, we probably would have used them. They were $300 more expensive than another company we found.

Company wrapped our furniture in plastic wrap per our request and moved it from our home to a home 2 miles away. The movers ran into traffic on Key Bridge, but phoned and let me know about the delay. The guys were friendly and efficient.

Guys showed up promptly, in fact 5 minutes early. They were polite, efficient, cautious, and went the extra mile to be helpful. They seemed like friends helping me move. The execution was flawless it was my smoothest move ever! Highly recommended!

The guys showed up pretty close to on time the next afternoon and had us moved out in an hour. I helped a lot but they did all the heavy lifting and an excellent Tetris job in the truck to fit our two bedroom apartment into a 17ft truck with room to spare. We were unloaded into the new house in about an hour and they were on their way. Total breakage for the entire move -- one wine glass. (I'll drink to that!) Couldn't have asked for a better move; especially on such short notice.

These guys were great. They arrived on time, worked hard, and were careful and competent. They were also friendly and easy to communicate with. The move took longer than anticipated, partly because of loading dock problems at the building I was moving out of, and so when we got to Bethesda they called into the office and got a couple of additional guys to come and help unload. Their price was very reasonable--substantially less than I paid to the movers who moved me into the apt. I was leaving. I would definitely use these guys again.

These guys are amazing. After booking my move online about a month in advance, I received a Google Calendar invite with all of the details about the moving day along with a rough estimate of how much it would cost (though with very clear guidelines for how and why it would cost what it cost). At some point before the move, my wife and I realized I had far underestimated the number of boxes and wrote to ask if we needed a bigger truck. I got a quick response saying, "yes, you probably do but we can get one for $50 more." That seemed totally worth it and a fair price, especially since I was the one who had been off with my estimate. On the moving day, the movers called a few minutes before they arrived to tell me they were en route. They arrived promptly at 9 AM and began moving boxes and furniture quickly. They appeared concerned about the quantity of stuff we had and I volunteered to move some boxes too and they were happy for the help even though that likely reduced the total cost My Truck Buddy would receive since they are paid hourly. Our apartment was in the truck within two hours and after a half hour trip to Takoma Park, they quickly unloaded, finishing by 12:45. The only mishap was that they dropped an Ikea bookshelf. The movers were mortified and apologized over and over but the damage was slight and if there was a piece of furniture that could get dinged, that was it. They ended up taking about $60 off our final bill which I thought was actually too generous given the value of the bookshelf. All of our other goods and furniture were undamaged. The movers were friendly and efficient and I will tell all of our friends about the great team at My Truck Buddy. Be sure to tip them, too. They earned every penny.

They arranged to come on the third of my preferred dates, reasonable in view of the short notice for the first two options. they were somewhat late but had notified me if I'd been glued to my cell. The two gentlemen that came were very polite and professional. They paid attention to detail and made sure that all of the rugs were correctly positioned and on their pads before relocating the furniture on top. The job was done within the estimated time. There are a few dings on some of the door frames but nothing that a bit of paint can't fix the bedroom door has been a tight fit for them on more than one occassion.

No boxes damaged or missing. They were able to move under the estimated time/price. Everything went really well. Simple and clean.
