My Truck Buddy

MTB was excellent. I needed to move a mattress upstairs (which I could not do by myself). All other moving companies (including some highly rated local companies from Angie's List) required an extensive process and a two hour minimum. The MTB folks were able to fit us in between jobs -- and were done the day after we agreed on the service. They were a pleasure to deal with and the job was done well.

Excellent crew. On time, professional, quick but careful, courteous and friendly. Each furniture item was wrapped in plastic for protection. They filled the storage unit meticulously with each piece fitting like a three dimensional puzzle. Completed total job within two hours (I had prepared several items In advance to reduce time/cost). I will definitely hire them again when we are ready to have the furniture moved back into the house.

Couldn't have gone better. They moved me in the amount of time they'd estimated but not more. Very pleasant.

MTB will move the **** out of your stuff! Elmer, Walter and Bill are amazing! I liked the reviews I saw of MTB, but I was still skeptical because I've moved enough to have many moving company horror stories. This crew, however, far far exceeded all of my expectations. They were early for the move and were willing to wait until I was ready or get started right away. I was ready, so I greatly appreciated getting started as early as possible. The team were all extremely friendly and pleasant to be around throughout the entire process. The truck was in great shape, and I can't believe how good they were at parallel parking that bad boy. Once inside, they were ready to work and started right away. I couldn't believe how quick they were, but they still wrapped everything with great care. We actually finished the move in less than the 2-hour minimum. Yet, this is the one and only time that nothing of mine got damaged. You won't believe this - but they actually repaired a leg on my couch that had been damaged by another moving company 2 years prior. They actually delivered my furniture in BETTER shape than how they had found it. I would absolutely recommend MTB to anyone, and will definitely hire them again. Book them today, and maybe you'll get Elmer, Walter and Bill if you are lucky!

Excellent, very fast and nice people!

The team from my truck buddy was right on time and the move was accomplished without a hitch. This has been the best experience I have had without delays, breaking stuff and unprofessional behavior. I didn't need to supervise or tell them to be careful, they treated my furniture with respect and helped me position it correctly in my small apartment. They were within the range of price quoted. A bit higher than I estimated perhaps due to the multiple location move and unexpected delays due to elevator availability.

Everything from start to finish went seamlessly! The guys that did our move were punctual, friendly, fast, and efficient. All of our things arrived in the condition that they left in. Don't hesitate to book your move with MyTruckBuddy! They are the best.

They’ve been awesome because we had to change things around 18 times, because we thought we were getting in and then we weren’t. They have been amazing, flexible and wonderful. Their price is very reasonable.

Outstanding! The team arrived ON TIME and was prepared to work. They carefully moved our goods to the truck, as we finished up a few boxes in the condo. At all times they were efficient, courteous and incredibly professional. They asked questions when needed and worked with us to ensure the entire condo was emptied in just 3 hours. We then drove the hour to Alexandria, and they carefully brought our furnishings into the new house. Again, they performed their work with efficiency, care and a good sense of humor, in spite of the summer temperatures and a 4-story home! This is my second engagement with MyTruckBuddy, and I would hire them again in a minute. Love their easy-going personalities and willingness to work hard to get the job done right. Bravo!!

Great. Best move I've ever had. The three man team were right on time, even a bit early, worked very hard to complete the work and did a great job of consolidating two storage units into one. Sean, Parker and Trevor were very professional, very nice guys. I'd ask for them again if I needed additional help with a move.

It went well. They were delayed from the time they were supposed to arrive, but they did stay in touch with me and give me updates on the time. The men were very helpful and polite. They moved several pieces of furniture around the room and placed the sofa exactly where I wanted it. I thought the price was reasonable. There was a 40 minute drive between pickup and delivery, and the delivery was to an elevator building.

It took exactly 2 hours with 3 men. Good service and I would use again.

Ara and Andre arrived exactly at 9 AM as scheduled. They were professional, friendly, fast, and took great care of my items. When there were gaps to fill in the truck, they asked if they could take other items to use to prevent things from moving. They were done in the time that was given to me as an estimate, and even cleaned up before they departed. My Truck Buddy exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend them, or use them again, myself. Thank you for taking the stress out of my move.

My Truck Buddy was excellent. We were very impressed with the 3 fellows who came to load our things (Leon, George, and Reggie, I think). Their moving cost estimate was accurate, there were no hidden fees or surprise costs at the end. They really hussled and loaded things quickly, they wrapped things well, they packed carefully to maximize the space in the truck. They were cautious with our items, and followed directions well. This was the best moving experience that my husband and I have had. There is no doubt that we will be calling My Truck Buddy the next time that we have to move. I've done more than 6 moves in the DC area with different companies over the last 15 years, and it's been fairly awful each time. Moving is very stressful, and yet this time, it wasn't . . . amazing! I can't tell you how wonderful it was to finally have a positive experience at a reasonable cost. They have well earned our future business, and we are grateful for a job well done. It is nice to know there is a moving company out there that can be trusted to do the job right.

They arrived right on time, were fast, careful, friendly, flexible, and easy to work with. Piano, large heavy furniture, difficult stairs, lots and lots of totes. -- still everything went very smoothly and orderly, with no damages or any other issues. Price was about what we were expecting. What more could you want? Will definitely recommend them to friends and colleagues.

Wayne and Will did a very professional job of carefully moving our furniture. They made the move quickly but very carefully. We enjoyed working with them and would recommend My Truck Buddy to our friends and to Angie's List.

It went about as well as a move could go. The estimation and reservation process was smooth and very quick, the online mover's guide was very helpful, and on the day of, the guys arrived gave me a call with their location/ETA prior to arrival, and were very efficient and careful with all of my belongings throughout the move. We had a brief hangup with the loading docks at both destinations, and they didn't penalize me for the extra few minutes that took. They came up with creative ways to help me move the 'little things' like plants that I figured I'd have to come back for, they helped me wrap my secretary better than I had before we moved it and they respected all of my requests to not leave the front door unmanned and to be careful with an old elevator, etc...we only forgot one bookshelf which got hidden behind a door and forgotten in the rush, so my only 'next time' advice would be to have the lead mover do a walk through of the old place before we pulled away - since my brain was clearly not working completely that day! :) I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Sadly, I never received a response to my inquiries for an estimate despite contacting them twice online and once by phone. This was really disappointing because they looked like they'd be a good match for my needs.

As a first time mover, I was extremely anxious and worried about having others physically move my belongings but My Truck Buddy was amazing. The three gentlemen who showed up were friendly, efficient, and eased the pain of moving. I was amazed on how fast and effective the move was, in just over two hours I was already in my new place and not a single trinket or plate broken (unheard of from any of my friends' moves with other companies). They clearly know what exactly what they are doing and are good at it making this the easiest move ever. I will be using My Truck Buddy in the future and wouldn't recommend anyone else.

The team, Lal, Maurice and Erik, were fantastic. They were careful, efficient and pleasant to work with. Also, the storage unit we chose was barely able to contain all the furniture and boxes, and they did an incredible job of maximizing the space and neatly fitting in all the items.

The move went fine. They arrived on time, loaded the furniture pretty quickly. They took a good route out of the city and arrived at the destination only a few minutes after I did, even though they could not use the GW parkway as I did. Unloading was quick and smooth. The price was within the estimated range.

Very well. The three gentleman who handled the move were efficient, professional and friendly. Despite it being a brutally hot day, they finished well under the estimated time of completion. I would definitely recommend to others. My only complaint: they were unable to disassemble my bed, and we left it behind. I subsequently went back and figured out how to take the frame apart and moved it myself.

A+ to My Truck Buddy if you are looking for a mover in the DC metro area. I found them by doing a search on Angie’s List and Yelp and they are highly rated on both. I worked with David on setting up move and he understood exactly what I wanted done. It was a move of furniture to be donated (yes expensive, but others options fell through or couldn’t meet my time requirements and when possible I prefer to pass on versus dumping). The 3 men that came were on time, efficient, well-mannered and courteous. At the delivery point there was an issue and the lead person was able to resolve this for me. That is going above and beyond and for this I am very grateful. I would highly recommend My Truck Buddy to anyone in the DC metro area looking to make move. You won’t be disappointed. I plan to use them again the future.
