An outstanding experience overall! Nathan and his crew were very professional; prompt, efficient, competent. They told us exactly what to expect, and how the job would progress, and they delivered according to the pledged budget and schedule. They worked well with my insurance company for the siding portion of the job. We are very pleased with the results. As predicted, the total package made our home much cozier - no more drafts, much less heat loss/gain than with the old inefficient windows, and a significant drop in the traffic noise we used to hear from the street. I would strongly recommend Modern Remodeling, and would certainly used them in the future.

Consultation and installation where both quick and efficient. Only time will tell whether the RHINO system was a good choice, but I am pleased with the result. The only flaw in the process was that in spite of my request to coordinate the date and time of installation, they showed up unannounced when I had some other work going on and was not prepared for them. Luckily we were able to work it out.

This was an excellent experience for me and I am completely delighted with the final results. I had a limited window of time to have this project completed and Modern Remodeling did an exceptional job meeting my schedule, with time to spare. Every aspect of the project went as scheduled from the first meeting to the last day. I appreciated all the input that Nathan and his team gave me from the initial design, the color and material selections to the design patterns for the tile and backsplash. Everyone was professional and respectful of me and my home. They did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end of each work day and did their best to minimize my inconvenience, living in a home that is being remodeled. The quality of the work and workmanship was excellent and all work was completed within the original budget. I will certainly use Modern Remodeling for any additional projects.

Mr. Jacobson arrived on-time, asked relevant questions and was courteous and professional, at all times. He provided us with a professional, detailed estimate in a timely manner, by email. Additionally, he was available, by phone, when we had questions.

They did a very good job. It was a very big job involving part of our house that was damaged in the storm and rebuilding a chimney that was knocked down.

It was covered by insurance. The job went fine. There were no problems. They did what they were contracted to do and they did a fine job. I had no problem whatsoever.

This company offered a one-stop shop solution to rebuilding my house after mold remediation. The company installed, insulation, drywall, painted, reframed walls, moved wall, did electrical work, painted, installed laminate flooring and much much more. Good job was extensive and took about two weeks to complete.

Very professional. The crew was onsite early and worked hard all day long to finish the roof just before sunset. The crew chief was able to identity the specific plywood boards that needed to be replaced. Modern Remodeling worked very closely with my insurance company to get all the necessary funds to finish the job correctly.

The and quot;catastropheand quot; happened on October 30th and the water extraction contractor finished up about a 8 days later. Dave and his team did a fantastic job moving us up on their schedule and we were so appreciative of the effort since several folks in the in our development were hit as badly as we were. Throughout entire process (4 weeks), Dave, stayed in daily contact stopped by the job site to inspect the quality of the work and his folks couldn't have been more professional in how they conducted themselves in the execution of the work and their courteous behavior. At the completion of the job, we ended up with a much nicer basement and saved about $5,000.00. Very appreciative of the effort that was extended by Dave and his team. Even though it was not all pleasant having to deal with the initial loss, t he Modern Remodeling Team made it lot less painful. They restored our faith, that there are true professional contractors who take pride in doing great work for a fair/competitive price in s timely manner. Jonathan was excellent, his teams were great. Job was done on time and on budget even with a few owner decided changes that jonathan rolled with it matched back to the estimate. Per integrity: They noticed a wet spot after the house was sealed up and sided. Apparently and old nail had rubbed through the side of a drain pipe. It would not have been found for years given the size of hole and it was questionable if it was the team that caused or old damage that was just now visible. The project manager noticed, pulled the back of the house off, fixed the pipe and re did the siding... no charge.

He was very responsive, but I thought it was quite expensive considering what he did. I also disliked that they simply arrived and did the work before providing a quote. Furthermore, it seems the materials they offered for another roofing job weren't as good as those offered by other roofers.

don't just close your eyes and believe the painter, review first before they leave. otherwise happy with the job well done.

After they Modern Remodeling inc helped with getting the HOA's approval, they went and got the permit. Once the work started, they worked very hard. You see, in Broadlands there is nothing but rock, stone and clay. Not very easy to dig in. They spent 1 full day digging out the rocks just so they can have a footer for the deck posts. I kept all the rocks they dug out and used them to build a drystacked stone wall for a planter at the rear corner of the property. They even hauled it over to the area for me! When removing one of the fiber cement siding panels, another panel broke (I never realized how tempermental that siding could be). I called Nathan and he was able to get another panel and had it repaired in no time. There was obviously no charge or a request for a charge and he didn't let that slow the guys down. The deck railing was built looking so much more substantial than all of our neighbors which was great. the top of the rail was routered which really ended up looking quite nice. We looking at some upcoming projects and I will definetly be calling Modern Remodeling back. This was one of the best experiences that I have had with a contractor. They were polite, they did great work, anytime I had a question I got an answer, I wasn't made to feel like I wasn't important after they earned my business. It always seemed as though they never stopped trying to earn my business and it was obvious that the appreciated my business as well. I highly recommend this firm!

Overall I was satisfied with the work. The crew arrived early, worked like dervishes, and finished in one day. Although they did some damage to plants and landscaping, they explained ahead of time that it was somewhat unavoidable. They cleaned up reasonably well, but I was still finding nails and bits of shingle in the grass and landscaping several months later. I was pleased when the foreman brought me up to the roof to show me a spot where an old leak had completely rotted through a board on the roof. I asked him to replace it, which he did, and I am not sure if I was ever even charged for this extra service. They also rigged a little piece of metal to divert water into the gutter and prevent it from running against the side of the house. One thing I was not pleased with was that insurance only paid for some of the aluminum flashing around the windows to be replaced, but not all. This is, of course, not the contractor's fault, and I could have paid to have them all replaced but did not. The main issue I had with them was responsiveness. I know they were very busy, given that many homes in my area had roof replacements going on with them that summer. But sometimes it took several calls to get a response, then several more to get information or a follow-up. For example, there was an issue a few months later when part of the gutter fell out of place, and a little piece of the original siding was displaced when putting the roof on. I called to have someone check it out. After several calls, someone finally came to look at it and said someone would be by to fix it. Nobody ever came and I got tired of asking. I fixed the gutter myself, and still haven't done anything about the little piece of siding. It's not a big deal, more of a minor annoyance, but I would have appreciated the followup from a company that just did $20K worth of work on my home.

Work was done quickly. The start date was delayed.

My insurance took care of the cost but I think it was $16000 for that work. I like the guy I spoke to initially to set up the things but otherwise I did not like anything. The maintenance people were horrible. I still have things to come and correct but I don't want to get into that mess. I would not go back with them.

They were very quick and professional. They were thorough in their job. They also replaced gutters, for which we paid; the rest was covered by our insurance. We liked their service and will use the same in future.

I had several quotes to do our roof and siding, but chose Modern as Nathan Rovitz seemed most knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Also they offered insulation behind the siding, which is something that the other siding guys did not seem interested to offer (or offered only when I asked). We also had other people in neighborhood who had their work done by them Everything went smoothly. The guys came as planned and did the work as expected. No particular complaints. They even added additional vents, as requested. The payment was based on the insurance and mortgage company timing, and they were okay with it.

I would like to thank Modern Remodeling so much for the wonderful new windows and patio door. They have made such a big difference. Our home feels much more warm and cozy. Even the noise from the traffic on the street that backs up to our home isn’t noticeable anymore. We used to hear the traffic, loud music and base, and people honking their horns…now, just peace and quiet! When my husband came home after the project was completed, he immediately felt the difference when he walked in. I expect this will save us a lot on our energy costs. The windows and door are so easy to open and close and are much easier to clean. The installation was quick and very professional. The staff was very friendly and polite, showed up on time, cleaned up as they worked and when they were finished, except for the new windows and sliding door, you didn’t even know they were here. I also live in a community that has a very strict covenant (especially when coming to window replacements), and I must say that Modern Remodeling went above and beyond by coming to our association's meetings to present to the board several options of windows and manufacturers along with literature and a professional understanding of the entire process. Up until now, we were limited to only 1 window type and 1 contractor (who was very unprofessional at best and the window they were using was very unimpressive). I was impressed at the lengths that Modern Remodeling was willing to go to and the multiple meetings they ended up attending in order to ensure my community was content with the products and services they were offering, especially since it was not a guarantee they would be approved. I am very happy with the experience and I would recommend Modern Remodeling to anyone who is looking for new windows. Rachel Ford

They came by to take a look and I need to follow up with them. He was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. It was a positive experience. I was trying to compare to other contractors and I told him I would follow up if I wanted to use his services. He seemed honest and friendly.

Dreadful experience! We regret using Modern Remodeling to remodel our bathroom. We endured poor workmanship, poor communication and lame excuses for the mistakes that were made. The worst problem was the improper installation of floor and wall tiles. We are still living with these mistakes. Many of the wall tiles do not lay flat against the wall. The excuse given by the site supervisor, Nathan, was, "The wall isn't flat." Our bathroom is 70 years old and the previous tiles all lay flat against the wall. So their excuse does not have merit. We were told that the tile which sticks out the most could not be fixed because a pipe was behind the tile. Again, for 70 years that pipe has been there and the wall did not stick out before Modern Remodeling worked on it. Also the grout work is really sloppy. Black grout from our accent tiles dripps down onto the white tiles. The floor tiles have buckled twice. Nathan gave the excuse that, "You must have had a bad batch of glue." The original installer was sent to fix the buckled floor both times. We are concerned that the tiles will buckle again. The grout began cracking before it was a month old. The medicine cabinet door did not close all of the way. Nathan told us that they could not fix it because the wall was not flat. Wrong! We, the novice homeowners, fixed it ourselves. It turned out that the installer had put in the wooden frame incorrectly. When we adjusted the framing, the door closed properly. These are just a few of the many complaints we have with Modern Remodeling. We have a list of many other problems that we encountered. It was a very frustrating experience. In addition to inept workmanship, communication with the on site workers was extremely poor. Many additional problems occurred because of that. We highly encourage you to choose another company for your bathroom remodeling job.

The crews did a great job. Worked hard all day, took care of debris, etc. Supervisor and sales person checked in and addressed any concerns before the job and after. We still have a few items to be completed, but overall we are very happy with their work. The bulk of the work is complete, and the house looks like new.

The project manager keep in contact with me so I knew exactlly when workers would arrive, how long the project would take, and what to expect. The workers arrived early and worked all day and finished job in one day. Project manager came next day and inspected roof, found a couple minor items he wanted improved. Workers returned two days later and finished items requested. I had no pressure from the company to use them even though they had inspected the roof and advised me to contact insurance company. They even waived my deductable so I had no out of pocket expense.

I was very pleased and they did a good job. I'm happy with the job, but if I were doing it again, I would put better grade windows in.

All was performed in a timely manner and the workers were neat and courteous.
