Miracle Method of Fairfax

Great! The work was done quickly on the day scheduled. It required stripping the old, beaten up finish, sanding, refinishing and putting grit on the tub floor. While it was $750 the tub now looks brand new. Well worth it.

Brent showed up on time to give me an estimate. I was impressed with his knowledge of the products & services offered and schedules a time for the refinishing. On the scheduled day & time, Blake showed up and began the several operation keeping me informed of the progress as he progressed. It was a 2 day affair that was done professionally with minimal disruption and I couldn't be happier. I basically have a new tub.

I could not be more pleased. Blake, the technician, arrived on time, explained everything in detail, and performed his work in a most professional manner. The results are beyond excellent. In fact, we're having them refinish a second shower next week. I researched bath refinishing companies extensively and spoke with the owners before making a decision. Miracle Method is the only company that does not use an acid etching procedure to enable bonding of the final finish to the tile. Instead, they use a proprietary chemical bonding agent. I am convinced this yields a better, longer lasting finish, plus it doesn't endanger the technicians health. Brent, the owner, is a pleasure to work with.

We were very pleased with the job. I compared estimates and refinishing technique with 4 companies and this was the only company that gave a 5 year warranty on their work provided that you care for the tub properly of course. I liked that they had a showroom that you could go to and see their work. The husband and wife owners were very knowledgeable and returned phone calls promptly . I had a concern that it would be difficult to cover the markings on the bottom of the tub that were left there from those old sticky designs people used to put on to prevent slipping. The owner said it would not be a problem but I asked him to come by beforehand to check. I didn't want any surprises with any added costs if it was too difficult to refinish. Even though he had assured me that it would be ok he was nice enough to come over and take a look at the tub ahead of time to make me happy. The man who did the actual refinishing did a wonderful job. There was no splattering of paint and clean up afterwards was great. The tub looks beautiful and we highly recommended this company.

It was an AWESOME experience!!! The tech recognized part of the way through the job that we did not need as much work done as we had contracted. He could have easily done all of the contracted work anyway (we would never have known), but he was totally honest with us and offered an alternate solution at a fraction of the cost. We have a sparkling, beautiful like-new tub, without a full refinish. His work was of excellent quality and he saved us HUNDREDS of dollars! Would recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest, reliable contractor!

The service professional Charles showed up on time and made the magic happen. He was extremely diligent about the whole process taking his time to do things right like removing all the caulk in the tub and surrounding the bathtub. He was very pleasant to discuss the project and the steps involved. I highly recommend Miracle method of Fairfax as well as Charles services. Since I was extremely pleased with the previous results I called Miracle Method for a second job to resurface an old shower. I had no desire to remove the drywall and start the re-modeling from scratch so I used miracle method of Fairfax for the second time. Again Charles showed up and did a terrific job on the shower. He ensured that all caulk residue was removed and then continued to do a great job on the resurfacing of the shower. I am extremely pleased with the results. Adam from Fairfax.

The colour came out darker than expected and the edges of the counter was not rounded or look like the ones on the picture. I call the owner and no suggestion or support was offered.

My mother-in-law, who is handicapped, is coming to live with us. I contracted Miracle Method of Fairfax to cut out a portion of our bathtub so that she has safe and easy access and also to install two safety bars on the tile walls inside the tub area. The work was scheduled for March 28. There was a missed appointment and a late appointment and a wrong part that needed to be reordered and the tech had to return to complete the job. Also, during the bathtub work, four of our floor tiles were damaged. It took quite a bit of time for the owners to finally get someone out to replace those damaged tiles, which was done on May 12. Communication was not very good and I am glad to finally get it done.

After reading many positive reviews, we scheduled an estimate with Miracle Method of Fairfax to refinish our bathtub/shower tiles. The owner, Brent, was very friendly and quick to schedule the free in home estimate and begin the work. He explained that since our tub had already been refinished once, there would be an additional charge to strip it off. He explained his rate was $200 to strip the tub and $85 per hour for the tiles. In his words, there wasn't much tile stripping to be done so he'd charge a flat fee of $85. We agreed upon the set price of $1,650 to strip and refinish the tub and tiles. The work was finished after two days, but they needed to come back to 'buff' the shower. It was at that time I received an email from Brent casually letting me know that the additional time spent would result in "a little extra charge." After asking what the charge would be he responded $680 but he offered to spit it with us at $340. So that little extra charge became a 20% increase to the agreed upon price. We told him that we would not agree to that charge and he needed to complete the job and we'd pay him the agreed upon amount. While I understand the stripping took longer than anticipated, this is not something we should be responsible for. The proposal was generated based on the in person assessment, and to try to add a nearly 20% increase to that just before completion was unacceptable. Brent's response to our concern was "sorry you feel that way." We explained to Brett It's not a feeling when you have a quote in writing to complete the project at a fixed price with no mention of additional fees or hourly rates. That being said, the work was well done and the bath/shower turned out great. The technician was friendly and hard working. However, we were blindsided by the price increase and the interaction turned our positive experience into a negative one.

prompt, on time. clearly explained process. covered surrounding areas to protect against debris. color match excellent, results excellent. great job of clean up. would definitely recommend.

The experience with this company was outstanding. I met with the company owner, Brent Redfearn, on a Wednesday evening and the project was completed by Friday. Mr. Redfearn was extremely knowledgeable of his products, friendly, and quite helpful. Rather than try to sell me a total refinishing job or a new tub, he explained to me that except for the chip on the tub, it was in really good shape. I was glad to hear that and he gave me the estimate. Although I am always initially shocked at how much home repairs cost, including this one, I said okay with his estimate of $275. He also showed me some other products that his company offered that I am considering in the future. On Friday afternoon, Charles came to the house and did a beautiful job. It was well worth the money I paid for it!

Charles was awesome. He was professional, and knowledgeable, and very clean. He explained any issues he came across. He also explained how to care for the new tub surface. Charles was also great because he let me know that I needed to regrout soon, so that water doesn't destroy the dry wall backer.

It went very well. The actual person that came to my house--was on time. Once he stepped foot in my house he was all about business. No talking just working. Sometimes people talk and not enough work is getting done. He was neat and it was very little to no mess at all. I have no problem in referring this company to anyone and I plan to use them in the future.

Blake did an excellent job on my counter tops, sealed the whole kitchen off to prevent any dust or debris in the rest of the house. Arrived promptly at 8 a.m. every morning. I will be contacting the company to do work on my master bath in the near future.

The experience was outstanding! Our first contact was with the company owner, Brent Redfearn, who was knowledgeable, pleasant, and quite helpful. He has a great deal of "know how" and was happy to advise us. He was very patient as well in guiding us through the selection of the right texture and color for the look and style we wanted to achieve. We were a little nervous because we realized this was a choice that we would live with for a long time to come! He understood that. The professional who performed the work, Charles, was excellent. He arrived on time or reasonably early each day, he was thorough in setting up the area, making sure it was entirely clean and protecting surfaces not being worked on, and keeping us informed of his progress and the various stages of the process itself. He worked very hard and achieved amazing results. In addition, he has a kind, intelligent, and thoughtful demeanor. We never felt uncomfortable asking questions. All in all, the resurfacing project was about the best contracting experience we've had and we would highly recommend Miracle Method of Fairfax to anyone who would like to update the look of their bathroom or kitchen at a great price. We feel like we have a whole new bathroom at about one quarter the price of a traditional upgrade!

It was a great start, with a very disappointing finish. Brent, the owner, is delightful. He arrived on time to give me an estimate [I was running late for an unexpected appointment, so we had to rush]. The estimate he provided was very reasonable, and I was very impressed with all of the rave reviews on Angie's list. Our townhome was built in 1990, and I have 2 bathrooms that weren't in horrible condition, but there were some mismatched tiles we had replaced over the years, and everything was just kind of dull, dingy looking.........I was sure MIracle Method was the answer to restoring the whiteness and shine the bathrooms lacked. The technician arrived on time, was courteous, professional, hard-working and did an excellent job of cleaning up when he finished. A couple of days later, after the dust settled [and the process does create a lot of fine powder, but the technician did a great job of sealing off the door so that the dust did not get all over the house] I did a quick glance and noticed some spots on the tiles where it looked as if a paper towel had imprinted on the wet paint, and there were spots were the paint had run on the grouting. I called Brent and he had the technician come out a few days later to remedy the problem.....I was a little disappointed that Brent didn't come out himself to inspect the job, but I figured he knew what he was doing. On cursory inspection, everything looked "okay"....but there was no shine and the surface felt rough.......I figured that was because of the fine powder on everything. We kept the doors closed, waiting for everything to settle.....I wanted to hold off wiping everything down because I was having a cleaning company come out to steam clean the bathroom floor tiles as well. After the floor tiles were cleaned, I began washing down the new tub/tile expecting the bright shine to come through.......it never did. The bathtub and tile surfaces, although whiter, are rough feeling and dull looking.........and I found many bubbles in the paint in the grout lines....the seal/caulking around the tubs is sloppy and much too thick. I was VERY disappointed. The overall appearance is very tacky.......We will now probably just rip it all out and replace everything. I emailed Brent and told him how I felt about the finished product. To his credit, he replied immediately and asked to send someone out to 'come back and fix the problems.' Again, I was surprised that he did not ask to come out himself to see what I was talking about. Because the prior attempt to fix the problem didn't fix the problem, I declined his offer ....perhaps I should have specifically requested that he come take a look. But if I have to make such a request, it reduces my confidence in a business and its commitment to quality. I have never before posted a negative comment on Angie's List....but I think the biggest disappointment was the owner's response when I told him that I did not have faith that the problem could be corrected without completely redoing the job, he STILL didn't suggest coming out to take a look, but replied: "Sorry you feel that way." He should have inspected the job and offered us some type of refund.......... If you're considering using Miracle Method, I would strongly suggest that you go to the showroom and view what the finished product is SUPPOSED to look like. I don't think it's supposed to turn out the way mine did or they would have gone out of business a long time ago.

Blake arrived on time with a smile and a chuckle. He kept the job clean and efficient. The tub looks great.

They were very thorough and professional. The installer never quit working til he was finished for the day. I had subway tile on 3 walls in bathroom that was old, dirty and the bathtub was also stained with a blue water tint from problems with the well. It is so white now you need sunglasses to go in. I love it. The countertops in the kitchen were 30+ year old butcherblock laminate and the new overlay looks so modern and light, like corian. Great fix for a nominal cost without having to tear everything up. I would totally recommend this company and this process.

Great job, responsive when I asked questions afterwards. The installer Blake was the key to success for this work; consummate professional, extremely skilled, more knowledgeable about the product than any other source we ran across, and he was very attentive to detail and cleanliness of the job site. When you encounter a young man like Blake in any field, it will reinforce your belief that our next generation coming up is the future of entrepreneurship IMO.

The person they sent (Blake, I think his name was) out was extremely experienced and knowledgeable about the process. He did an absolutely fantastic job and the tub literally looks factory new. It apparently works best on the older tubs with steel core and porcelain finish (which we have). The white pigment perfectly matched the new wall we put up (apparently, a more difficult process to match whites than I had originally anticipated - but it worked). Went through the process for caring for the tub and warned us about what not to do. Do NOT clean with bleach - it kills the pigment and eventually the old surface will show through. Also do NOT use abrasive cleaners like Ajax or Comet. It will scuff the finish over time. Scrubbing Bubbles or Simple Green seems to work best. Price was a little bit on the high side and there was some confusion on the price quote for the textured flooring for the tub (final price was $610), but ultimately it looks great and we will use again if the opportunity presents itself. I did not have a good experience with company. I called to ask for a quote on tub refinishing this morning. The woman quoted me $545 for refinish and $150 for stripping old paint off standard tub for a total price of $695. I then asked if she had any discount such as military or Angie's list. She said there was no military discount. I then asked about Angie's list discount. She asked, Did you look on Angie's list for the coupon? I said no that I had not looked yet -- I saw their good reviews and saw they were located nearby and called . She then stated "we like people to do research before they ask us for coupons." Her response was rude. I asked if she was the owner since I assumed that the owner would not respond in that unprofessional manner to a new customer inquiry. She said yes she was the owner. I asked again about the coupon and she finally told me she had a $35 discount, but I would have to prove I was an Angie's list customer to get it. Totally turned off by her demeanor.

Perfect! Our shower pan is over 20 years old, but in good condition. On time, well done and professional. Very effective with the control of chemical odors and dust, which was very important to us.

Brent (the owner) came by to quote the project and to explain the process. He was timely and was helpful in discussing our available options. The appointment to complete the work was arranged without issue. Blake arrived on the appointed day and time to do the repair and refinish the shower pan. After about 4.5 hours of work, were were left with what looked to be a brand new shower pan. Blake did a very nice job with the refinish work. In short, we will definitely select Brent, and his crew at Miracle Method in Manassas if we ever need work of this type accomplished in the future!

They delivered exactly what they promised. They did a phenomenal job; you should see this tub it looks like brand new.
