When I scheduled to get our problem addressed, we were told the $49 will be used towards the work or in other words, refunded. NO ONE, neither the lady on the phone nor the technician Simei who came over told us that you have to get the work done same day in order for the $49 to be refunded. In fact, when we signed on his tablet, I said it again that this will be refunded when we call you back right ? He said yes. We had to get the landlord’s approval. Very, very wrong way to get a customer! I had called to move forward with the work but when I was told this, we will not go ahead with it!

Worst experience imaginable… Run while you have the chance. Due to age and expected life expectancy and recommendation of my condo association, I replaced my 17-year-old gas direct-vent hot water heater that never gave me a problem. Since the initial install on May 24th the heater has been inoperable 30% of the time due to one thing or another. Almost every other day the unit was off, and I must relight the pilot to get hot water. The first time the unit failed was less than a week after it was installed but, on a Sunday, and I was charged an emergency dispatch fee... actually had to provide a credit card number on the phone before they would come out! I was reimbursed weeks later but only after requesting and repeated follow ups. On the Sunday dispatch unit was off because air vent being cut too short and disconnected, so not enough air was getting to the unit, on subsequent trip the damper plate had to be installed to keep air from coming in from outside from blowing out pilot(not sure, this may be required depending on vent length). The issue kept occurring and they could not figure out what was happening, so they replaced the heater with another one...and it still occurred. They then said it could be gas, so I had the gas company come out to test and they found a small leak in the gas line near the heater, but I guess that is not something ordinarily checked. Everything else gas wise checked out. The issue was still occurring every couple of days. Finally, about a week ago steam was discovered coming up the drainpipe from a unit below me and was being directed into my heaters pan/gas controller and that could be contributing. Irony here is that each time I had to relight the pilot I had reported that the gas controller area/fire foam was soaked, and when they were onsite repairing the gas leak they saw firsthand the steam in the pan with the unit off, the tech was on his side lighting the pilot with the steam in his face and each instance said this was normal, just condensation… turns out not normal. They wanted a State Water heater representative/expert to look at the unit. The supposed representative (business card he left said RoT Marketing?) "examined" the unit and he indicated the install “looked ok”. That the issues all along (after the vent, damper, and gas were repaired) were all due to the steam coming up the drain… and here is the best part of all… the warranty on the unit was now void!! Still waiting on that official statement in a letter. Hope this helps.

Pulled, cleaned, and inspected the sewage pump to find that it was only clogged and was still working. Patrick took a look at the storm water pump as a precaution and caught what could have been a basement flooding situation. That pump wasn't working at all and was one storm away from overflowing. That was a real save due to his thoughtfulness. The price of the work was fair. Much better than another company that looked at the same sewage pump (one that I won't use again due to the price).

Faucet repair and mystery noise diagnosis

Justin and Bear came to fix a clogged line in our house and I could not be happier with their service! They were extremely professional and walked me through their work. Our issue stemmed from having a slop sink that did not have a P-trap and would cause food and laundry debris to back up and clog the outgoing line. They were quick, efficient, and answered all my questions related to the issue and even spoke with me about future improvements that I was interested in doing in 2020. The line has had no issues since then. I have had Marines out to my place before for other plumbing issues and Justin and Bear’s super service reminded me of why we will always call Marines for any of our plumbing issues!

Very difficult time getting old hose bib off. First replacement did not work/leaked. Second replacement worked but could not attach right holding screw into brick. Forgot to give cost estimate prior to work. My husband thought cost was excessive. I did call the company to express out dissatisfaction and spoke with a representative, did not receive a follow-up response.

After two blockages in our sewer line over a 4 month period, we determined that the line from our house to the county sewer had sunk in the middle and needed to be replaced. We had a very competitive estimate from Marines Plumbing and proceeded with the work. On day one, they were here right on time (actually 30 minutes earlier than promised) and they got to work quickly. Needless to say, digging an 11 foot deep trench 40 feet across our yard is no small task. Wet, rainy weather made things even more challenging but they got the job done. Of course, several gas, electric and sprinkler lines were exposed during the process, but a visual inspection before backfill determined that everything looked good. The work was completed and I was told they'd be back after the weather warmed a bit (the work was done in early March) to repair a few 'divots' that were created in our neighbor's pipestem by the excavation equipment. When I called in April, they came out and took care of it a few days later. Also in April, I turned the irrigation system back on to find there was a leak underground, near the area where the work was done. This was a little odd, as all the pipes looked intact before the area was backfilled. After a call and email, the crew came back out and worked with me to determine the source of the leak. The crew found it, dug down to the line and repaired the leak. All told, a major problem with our sewer line was a very positive experience. I can't recommend these guys enough and won't hesitate to call them the next time I need plumbing help.

This is the second time I called these folks in the last 6 months (two separate issues) and they have done an excellent job both times! Today I had them replace a leaky outdoor faucet in my back yard. They called ahead of time as they promised. The technician arrived right on time and was very professional, gave me several options along with price estimates, explained exactly what he was going to do and then completed the work quickly. Overall they did a great job and asked for a very reasonable price. Happy to have them available to me and will definitely give them a call in the future if I ever need their services again. The reason of it was the plumber was a heavy person because he lean over and his weight pushed the tank which caused to break the seal. He did not want to repair the seal of the toilet but what he did was just to cancel the fee.

It went well. The bathrooms look wonderful, was able to sell the house with 2 like brand new bathrroms. Had one issue with installing a "vessel sink" in one of the bathrooms but it was resolved without too much issues. The caulking job needed to be re-done; perhaps it was to wet when it was done but the inspector found it to be in need of re-doing; otherwise it went very nice. Clean, wore boot covers, cleaned up after work, pleasant to deal with. We purchased fixtures & they installed all to satisfaction. Tile job was done nicely. Floor tile job was done correctly as to prevent leaks.

Marines sent their drywall repair specialist, Courtney, to repair the holes in walls and ceilings left by their whole-house redo of our plumbing. Courtney completed the work in one full day and two half-days. He was prompt, courteous, professional and a really hard worker. Working alone he accomplished an amazing amount in a short period and got all of the damage "paint ready", including a challenging family room ceiling with a stucco-look finish. Courtney worked very hard to match his work with the existing finishes and his work is terrific.

After a difficult start with an inexperienced team, the owner and his rep, Don Blue sent Jaime Money, master plumber and two experienced assistants William and Steven. Our house is not well or logically built and the pipe courses offered some challenges but Jaime and his assistants handled it all and completed the entire house re-pipe in two (long) work days. The company staff, including Ray the owner, Don Blue and Jaime were very responsive, professional and highly skilled. They understood the importance of this project as we are preparing to put the house up for sale.

From start to finish, Shawn and Connor from Marines Plumbing did an excellent job. I greatly recommend their services. They came on time, finished in the estimated time they had given, were honest, gave valuable recommendations, provided explanations for each recommendation, performed the job well, and left no mess behind. I never felt pressured into purchasing any recommendations. The prices are competitive. I've asked around and they provide one of the more competitive rates in the area- with no hidden costs. What made me decide to go forward with them is their honesty and professionalism. Some side information: I was looking into a specific water heater from A.O. Smith (the parent company of State), but was told by a couple plumbing companies that the service&labor warranty would only cover a few months to a year. However, if you go with their company's State water heater, that I would get 2 years. One of the highly rated plumbing companies here had the guts to tell me that State was much better than A.O. Smith. If you do the research, the insides are relatively similar if not the same. However, Marines Plumbing disclosed the relationship of the two from the beginning. They also stand by their work and said if I went with A.O. Smith, I would see the same service&labor warranty. Hat's off to them. Plumbers like these are hard to find.
