The movers left approximately 12 boxes of my things in the freight elevator of Stor All Storage. They apparently put a few boxes in the elevator at a time and rather than taking them directly down and loading them into the truck, they went back to the storage unit to get more boxes. Well, in the meantime, someone else called for the elevator, and it went down to the lobby level with my things in it. Then the things got left behind. I had the loading dock reserved at the apartment building that they were moving my things to for a specified two hour period. When they unloaded the truck there, I realized that many of my boxes were missing, but the truck was empty. Luckily, the woman who manages Stor All Storage found the boxes in the elevator and was nice enough to put them in an empty storage unit for me. She called me, because she knew that I had had my things moved out that morning. I went back to Stor All and found the rest of my belongings that had been left behind. I called 2 Guys and a Truck and explained to them what happened. They offered to send someone back to pick up the remaining boxes and take them to my new apartment. By this time it was 1 pm, and the freight elevator at my new apartment was not available until 5 pm. So, I had to wait at the storage unit to meet the new mover. It took all day. I was supposed to miss a half day of work, and I ended up having to take an entire day of work off because of there mistake. Not only that, but all of the things left behind could have been stolen. I was handling this move alone, and I hired movers to move my things professionally. I couldn't follow them around to ensure that everything they put into the elevator actually made it into the truck, and I shouldn't have to. I was told by a manager named Frank that he would bring this up at the next meeting. I even sent a fax to him that explained the situation in detail, so that he would have that documentation at the meeting. I, of course, never heard back from him. I think that I should be compensated for having lost an additional afternoon of work to wait around for movers to finish the work that they were supposed to have done in the morning. I am completely unsatisfied with the move. Again, it was just lucky that my things were not stolen. It is completely unacceptable for movers to leave an entire elevator's worth of belongings behind.
Description of Work: Two movers moved the contents of a 5'x10' storage unit from Stor All Storage in Fairfax VA to an apartment in Arlington VA. Both locations had a freight elevator that was easily accessible and used by the movers. A loading dock was also available at both locations.

I felt that the price was pretty good. They came and set everything up for me, and put things wherever I wanted them to be. They were punctual and very professional, and listened very well. I would use them in the future.
Description of Work: We used Two Guys & a Truck to move us about 2 miles. We didn’t have much to move because we lived in an apartment and there was just the basic furniture.

Description of Work: Called 3 different movers. This was the only one willing to give me a verbal quote over the phone which they did with a smile in their voice. Two men arrived on time (they actually called an hour early and asked if they could come then!), packed all my stuff (including a 65" TV I was very concerned about) and moved it carefully and professionally. At my new house they even rearranged a couple of dressors that were not part of the move, when asked. Price, time and quality was exactly as quoted over the phone. I would highly recommend this company. (By the way, I called one of your A+++ 5 star companies, and was reluctantly given a quote of over $800 after practically begging for a verbal quote.)
