M&M worked efficiently and were pleasant throughout. The service appointment was easy to set up, and they gave me a two hour time frame rather than an all day window. Technician completed repair quickly.

From start to finish I was wowed by M&M. They provided three quotes, varying in efficiency and cost. Mr. Vance took the time to review each option and weighed the pros & cons with me. The installation team could not have been a better group of guys ? they were all courteous, efficient and punctual. They went the extra mile and stayed until almost 8PM on the last day of the project because they knew I had guests coming the next day!

Everything went well. We have been using them for years, and they have always done great work.

They stuck to the budget and time frame. They were clean. They have been great. They are reliable.

I have an annual contract with them that covers when they come out. They can fix heating and air conditioning problems when others have no clue. They really know what they are doing and do a good job. I've referred them to people that have older houses, which they've been able to help.

When no one showed up by ~ 2:30 I called and the receptionist offered to call me when the technician was on his way. Office staff was courteous and helpful. Kevin arrived after 4 PM to inspect my boiler. He increased the temperature on the thermostat from 66?F to 70?F then inspected the unit. He looked at it and drained the reserve tank twice. He yanked on my pipes. I was nervous another leak would start. I expressed my concern but he kept yanking on the pipes. He partially turned the joint for the back flow pipe, but couldn't turn it all the way because the wall was in the way. He kept turning it back and forth and it started leaking. He later told me to just watch it and it might stop leaking. When I asked if there was anything he could do to stop the leak he'd created, he suggested he try some stuff he used on gas pipes. It was a pasty substance that he smeared on the joint. He asked me how long I had kept my thermostat set to 70. I reminded him he was the one who set the thermostat at that temperature. He had to call a colleague for advice as to why my back flow preventer might be dripping. The consensus was that sometimes it does that after sprinkler installation and I should just watch it. He did tap the top nut to my pressure relief valve with a metal wrench saying that might stop the drip and told me to just watch it and see if it stopped. When he left I had my original problem was still dripping and now I had a new leak that he had created. When Kevin restored my thermostat setting he commented he had never seen a thermostat like mine -- I have a Hunter programmable thermostat model #44550. I thought it wasn't any different than other standard programmable thermostats I've used. On his way out, Kevin told me to call them if the leaks/drip didn't stop and they would take another look, but it would probably be an expensive fix because he would have to take apart or replace my back flow preventer. The drip was leaking about half a gallon per day. The second leak created by Kevin eventually stopped. I called another HVAC company who gave me advice over the phone that seemed to correct the problem. The other company advised I gently tap the back flow valve with a rubber mallet -- not a metal tool -- so I don't damage anything; he also explained that the problem was probably dirt stuck in the back flow valve so that needed to be tapped and not the pressure relief valve as Kevin had done. I would probably call the more experienced company the next time I need something even though they are more expensive. I wouldn't rule out using M & M again, but I if I do I will ask for a different technician.

We have been very pleased with them. The quality of their service is high, and they handle any problems promptly. Their prices seem comparable, but we like having them do our work so we no longer compare prices. They have always done well for us and we will continue to use them.

Our air conditioner was not working very well. It was not blowing very cold air. We called M&M on Monday morning and they sent Nick out that afternoon. He took a look and said that the unit was "frozen" up. He was going to have to leave the unit off for 24 hours and come by the next day to see if additional work needed to be done or if refrigerant needed to be added. He charged us $99.00 for the visit. He also told us how to go on line and print out coupons to help pay for any charges that might come out of the next day's work. Next day came back on time, got unit running, but since no additional work or refrigerant was required, charged us $0. We will definitely call them again.

The technician arrived within the 30 minute window (which is amazing as most contracters keep you home for hours and hours. The AC was fine...we did not know it but we still were under contract so the visit cost us nothing. It was an excellent experience.

Nathan and another service tech showed up on time and got immediately to work. They cleaned an amazing amount of dirt from the compressor (much of it brick dust from a major renovation taking place in our neighborhood) and topped of the coolant levels. He talked us out of removing the coolant from the attic HVAC system which we are no longer using pointing out that the perfectly good compressor could be used as a replacement for the system we are currently using. This saved us the expense of exhausting the coolant and made us realize that the other equipment which we were going to junk could still be of benefit to us at a future time. The cooling system is now performing better than it has in years keeping up with the first 90 plus degree day of the season.

Service tech showed up exactly on time. I explained the problem and pointed out a part that had been replaced when we had had the same problem before. He ran some tests on the part and the the furnace and said that he could find nothing wrong with that part which turned out to be a safety device to prevent the furnace from firing in the event of a blockage of the vent to the outside. He said that more than likely the strong winds on Sunday had blown down the vent pipe and triggered the safety device to turn off the furnace for a set period of time. He was very professional, knowledgeable on the our system and did not try to make a needless repair or sell us on services we did not need. The furnace has worked fine since then and we will be using them again.

Fine. They went on the roof and worked about two hours. Double-coated any areas that might be the cause of the leak.

Very responsive, the receptionist is pleasant, they came early within the window; diagnosed the problem and were able to fix it. M & M installed my furnace two years ago and I was very pleased with their work, so I knew they would be able to fix this problem (created by another company).

All was fine with my system. They showed up on time and checked everything out properly. I do have a contract with them and they come out two times a year to do this. They come out quick and they are very reliable. I have no problems with them and I would recommend them as well.

While general inspections and quick replacement parts jobs were good, they NEVER would come to repair my worn &/or damaged duct (flex duct not custom cut). For YEARS I had been requesting a visit to assess and fix. Never happened, regardless of that I was a long standing customer. So I let my contract lapse and now in the market for another company. If you have no duct issues and just need annual inspections, these guys are fine. For fussier systems, go elsewhere.

THIS WORK WAS DONE AT MY APARTMENT ON ONE OF THE HOTTEST DAYS OF THE YEAR (110 HEAT INDEX) ON CAPITOL HILL. THE MAN WHO DID THE WORK WAS PLEASANT AND FAST AND EASY TO DEAL WITH PERSONALLY. I ONLY CALLED M & M THIS MORNING AND HE WAS ALREADY HERE BY NOON. THE PRICE WAS REDUCED TO $726 BECAUSE WE (MY LANDLORD) HAD A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THE COMPANY. I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY WORKED WITH THIS COMPANY BEFORE, BUT I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE TIMELINESS AND THE SPEED THIS WORK WAS DONE CONSIDERING THE LIKELIHOOD THE COMPANY WAS ALREADY VERY BUSY ON A HOT DAY.
