M & M Mechanical Inc

After getting estimates from several contractors, we decided to go with M&M. The prices were not the lowest, but were competitive. What decided us for it was the fact that the sales agent provided all necessary information without a hard sale's pitch. He was professional, courteous, punctual and honest. M&M use Carrier for their HVAC supply, and they stand by the product. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I had a service contract with them so they service my a/c and when they're out, they said that the water heater was 27 years old and I really need to replace it. They replaced it when I told them to replace it. I had a brand new a/c put in by them a year or so. They also sealed and cleaned out all things for me so I had a lot of work done by that company. I had a good experience with them. They did a perfect job with my a/c and water heater. Their price is just right in line with any other company.

They were excellent. He came out to take a look and realized the air conditioner was broken, he did not have the right part to fix the conditioner with him. He had to leave and get a new part and came back later that afternoon! They did a good job and I am very pleased with the work they did! The day was hot and we needed some A/C!

We were concerned the hot water baseboard piping in the basement was incorrect. Don came out and looked it over, saw the diverter was switched off, switched it on and assured us the system would work. He didn't even charged us for a service call.

Overall: Everything went great! Responsiveness. I was able to schedule an appointment the same week (2 days from calling) for A/C service! Not bad for the beginning of the A/C season when everyone is possibly having problems. Punctual. The shceduler got us in for 9am-12pm on Friday 16 May. At 8:30am I received a call they were on the way, by 9:10 he arrived. Price. $99 just to look at the problem, then approximately $150 for new trap and service. Used the $25 Angies list coupon. I think it's a reasonable price to fix the previous home owners 'handy work.' Quality. Parts were all new shown to me by the technician. Professionalism. Calling ahead of time is nice for those of us who are used to sitting and wondering when they will actually arrive. The technician who serviced our home was very polite and friendly. He knew exactly what problems to look for and ensured I knew what I was paying for and how much it cost before he set to work.

When they put in the new furnace, it kept kicking off and we couldn't get the furnace to keep running but they figured it out. It was very satisfying to me to work with a company that went our and fix the problem. They have customers probably close to 30 years. They've always been very timely. I always felt like they are well worth paying for as service contract because they are so good about being timely and their service representatives are always very timely and interested in meeting our needs. Their doing their job. They were great. They've been responsive and helpful and timely. We always felt that it was worth having it. Every time they get involved, they do good work.

Got three quotes for replacement of my old inoperative HVAC system -- M&M was the lowest by far ($1200 less than next lowest bid). Company was easy to deal with, everyone was very polite and professional, and they were accommodating to my schedule and needs. The installation crew arrived on time and had the unit and a replacement digital thermostat installed and operating within two hours, and they left their work area neat and clean. I've been very happy with the new system. I highly recommend M&M Mechanical and would have no hesitation about calling them for any other work I might need in the future.

A PHENOMENAL COMPANY! 100% PLEASED! Had M&M Mechanical, Inc.. replace our original HVAC system with a new Carrier unit with an Aprilaire Humidifier. Based on M&M Mechanical's positive reviews on Angie's List, we contacted this company. A consultation meeting was made where options were thoroughly explained. No sales pressure was exerted. It was a very informative meeting helping us to confidently make our final decision on the type of unit. Impressed with their professionalism, we selected M&M Mechanical, Inc. These folks are the best! Appointment for initial contact was when scheduled, even due to snow day. Estimate provided as promised, and was easy to understand, and they called to see if I had any questions. Follow up date for measuring went as promised. Installation was scheduled and done on time. They did a super job cleaning everything up, and left my place immaculately clean. I trusted them with a key because I was not able to be home.

We were let down by the provider and have one radiator that still does not provide any heat. The provider successfully fixed all radiators except one (by removing air from the system). One radiator remained cold. the provider diagnosed the problem as a faulty valve. The provider said they would obtain the needed part and get back to us. An appointment was eventually fixed for three weeks later. The day before, we were called and told the company did not deal with this kind of problem, we needed a plumber. As a result, three weeks after the provider's visit, we have a cold radiator, and a cold room in the house. We regard the provider as unreliable.

They were very good about getting me in for an appointment, and they work promptly.

It went excellent. The manager Rick was able to come out himself on the same day to give an estimate. He was very patient while he had a bit of snafu giving Rick entry to the condo. Rick was professional and courteous to the staff and complimentary of the building structure. We had obtained three estimates for the HVAC replacement, which were all fairly consistent. Our condo is currently locked down by a bigger company and we wanted to give Rick and opportunity to do work in the building to increase competition. Rick took the time to go over the details of what was involved and scheduled the repair/replacement the same week - which was well needed since it was 90 degrees and above at the time. Rick did not provide any pressure to go with his company or do buy upgraded equipment. His work was flawless and he backed it with a 2 year warranty on labor. Overall, I would highly recommend M/M Mechanical for your next HVAC repair/replacement.

Overall everything went well. We have been using M&M Mechanical for over 20 years and wouldn't even think of using anyone else for our heating and air conditioning.

Came to give estimate in morning. Work crew scheduled for following morning. Crew showed up on time and completed work neatly and efficiently in several hours.

In June 2012, anticipating the demise of our 15 year old, builder's grade A/C, we collected numerous replacement estimates from several contractors. At the completion of that process, we were most impressed by the professionalism of Mr. Rick Gemmer who provided a candid, fair, and timely estimate of our A/C and heating needs, without the sales pressure we experienced form other estimators. He proposed installing a Carrier Infinity Series two stage A/C and matching Carrier Infinity Series two stage variable speed gas furnace. When the old A/C died in the midst of the next heat wave, we immediately called Rick and placed the order. Mr. Gemmer promptly completed the sale by fax to ensure we met the deadline for a significant Carrier rebate, and arranged for an installation in less than a week. The installer, Dan, and his helper, Dylan, arrived on time, removed the old system, completed the installation, and finished the clean up all within one day, as promised. In addition to working efficiently, Dan took the time to answer all our questions thoroughly and made sure we understood how the new system worked before he left. We were also very pleased that Dan was able to integrate our previously existing humidifier into the Carrier system without any additional cost. Most significantly, at the end of the day, other than the much welcomed air conditioning, there was no sign in the house that a major A/C and heating installation had just been accomplished. Since then, for the rest of the summer, and now into the winter, the Carrier Infinity system has worked as Mr. Gemmer advertised. The system has handled all our air conditioning and heating needs quietly, effectively, and efficiently. From the estimate to installation to operation, M & M Mechanical was outstanding!

Last weekend I installed a ductless mini-split system at my home as a supplement to the central A/C. I was able to do everything except cut & connect the refrigeration lines to the condenser. I started looking around on Angie's List to find a professional near me to complete the work and I came across M&M Mechanical, Inc. I spoke to Don who, after asking me several questions and getting a feel for what needed to be done, quoted me very appropriately. He told me that he could have a crew over at my house Thursday morning, and they arrived right on time and ready to work. They completed the work in less than an hour and it ended up costing me a lot less than what was estimated.

M & M did an outstanding job. Arrived on time, ready to work - it was close to 100 degrees that day and they were prepared to be there until everything was finished to my satisfaction. Started out with looking things over and explaining what was going to happen, they then put down covering to protect things and got right to work. Great team - pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable, and careful with everything. Very happy to answer questions along the way. They didn't leave until everything was up, tested, all my questions were answers and I understood what to expect as the systems settled into everyday service (including what to expect when the heating system kicked on as it burt off the initial coating). They made sure all trash was collected and removed, leaving everything in better condition then when they got there. First large job I've ever had done that went as smooth as slik for me .. regardless how difficult it got for them. Mr. Vance and his team did an outstanding job and I would recommend them to anyone .. anytime!

They were very professional. They were on time. I have not encountered anybody that didn't know what they were doing. They just went right about with their work and they got it done. They knew exactly what the problem was. It's always been positive.

After my water heater stopped working the week before, I figured it was time to get the HVAC unit serviced. It had not been serviced in at least a year and half. The technician showed up on time, serviced the unit. He suggested that due to the age of my home (11 years) that I get the vents cleaned and recommended a company that provides that service. Very professional and nice.

Rick arrived precisely at the scheduled time and conducted a detailed inspection of the existing system. He then clearly explained various available options. The price he proposed for the Carrier system we were considering was very competitive with other proposals we received. We ultimately decided to install a different manufacturer's equipment for reasons completely unrelated to M&M. I would highly recommend M&M to anyone considering the installation of Carrier equipment.

M and M provided excellent and professional service from my initial questions on replacing the old system, to pre-installation inspection, to actual installation, and follow-up. One minor problem involving the outdoor coil was resolved by a service tech the next day. Phone calls were promptly answered and the installation crew showed up on time and worked well into the evening to complete the project in one day. For the past several years I have also used M and M for basic maintenance functions and I'm glad I switched from another company.

They are great. They are very honest.
