We hired M & M Mechanical to replace our aging 15+ years old HVAC system: an efficient Carrier heat pump with air handler. Our heat pump was no longer working and was running on emergency heat. We found M & M Mechanical through Angies's List and as well recommendation from neighbors in our housing community online forum. Rick promptly drop by and provided several replacement options varying in price, energy efficiency and noise level. The quotes were very competitive and our decision were based on several factors: the fact that M & M Mechanical are a small company and there are in the business for about 40 years which shows trustworthy and quality. The day of the install went smoothly. Four people arrived in the morning and finished well before I got home from work. The installers were professional and left the place spotless. It has been since several weeks now and the system is running so quiet that we hardly notice if the system is running at all. Overall a great a decision to go with M & M Mechanical.

Two people came. They were polite and seemed professional. However they never stopped to explain the situation and how much it would cost. They charge 180 an hour and dumped me with the bill without an ok to do the work. It took 5 hours to find the issue and fix it. They charged me 780 total ...all labor. It was a "discount" on the full amount that I was told would have been close to $1000!! no parts....just labor. No warning, no signature....just start and on the clock...then bill. If you use them, ask them for a cost upfront!

This was our first experience with M&M and we were very impressed. Technicians arrived on time, were efficient and did a wonderful clean-up job. They went over the equipment installed and made sure we understand how it was to operate. We are switching our annual maintenance contract to this company.

I thought they did a good job. When I had a problem with the air conditioning and the furnace and they realized I had the wrong size of furnace and they installed a new one at a really good price because they really screwed up and they fixed it. The last 2 guys, I think they sent me a couple of newbies which is not so terrible but they weren’t as good as some I’ve had in the past. They are not really cheap. I would use them again.

They do what they're supposed to do. They're very nice. They provide basic service and they do it efficiently.

I can't say enough about these guys. First, every single person (estimate, pre-intallation measuring, installation) was on time, friendly, and professional. The day of installation, 2 young men showed up, on time...they explained everything and installed the system with no mess (I fully expected holes in the walls and ceiling based on the other companies' doom and gloom estimates), and then showed me everything on the new system and thermostat. They were finished a solid 30 min earlier than they estimated, were super professional, friendly, and you wouldn't have even known they were there if not for the fact that it started cooling down immediately. They even called the next business day to follow up and ensure I hadn't had any issues with the installation and that the system was working properly/I was happy. I have never been more happy with any company, and I'd definitely recommend M&M Mechanical to anyone! Replacing your system is a painful expense, especially when it's unanticipated. They made the entire process as painless as possible!

Felix arrived within the 2 hour window promised. I received a phone call to let me he was on the way. He carefully went over what he had done and why. The house was left clean. He was patient, listened to all my concerns and answered my questions clearly.

It was a little difficult to get an appointment that worked for me, but my buyer had requested the HVAC system to get a tune up following their home inspection. My real estate agent met the service tech and reported that everything went great. My agent also mentioned it being one of the best prices that he had seen for this service!

Another exceptional experience with M & M Mechanical, Inc.! A prior positive experience with this company led us to contact them about water heater replacement. We were pleased to learn they could do the work and hired them to install a new water heater. Such a professional company...punctual, responsive to our needs, quality workmanship and courteous employees. Very pleased.

Service was great! Inside and outdoor units were checked with no problems and let us know there our system was working fine. I've been using M&M for 3 years since we bought our house and finally signed up for the annual seasonal check-up package. I trust their workers and it seems they are always looking out for the best interest of my home, and not what they can just work on to make a buck. For a couple of hundred bucks a YEAR, it's worth having the peace of mind that our air conditioner and heater will work perfectly when we need it to and not run into thousands of dollars of repair.

I called for service because it seemed like the drainage of the condensation coming from our unit was blocked somewhere. The technician was courteous but this is the second time I paid for their service and pretty had nothing done as well as no solution. The first time was about a year ago and I was told I needed to replace my entire system for about $22K only to find a different company that fixed the problem and that unit is still functioning just fine. This time, I was told I needed to call a plumber to check out the drainage pipes, even the PVC pipes connecting to the unit. To make a long story short, I found someone else that identified the problem (the pan that captured the condensation just needed to be tilted) and charged a fair price. Although the technician at M&M was professional and nice, I won't be using their service anymore.

The technicians were very professional and knowledgeable. They arrived on time and went straight to work. I didn't hear anything from them until they came to tell me the job was complete. Both technicians were responsive to my questions and very patient with my volume of questions. The final product works well and I wouldn't hesitate to call again for my next project.

M&M did terrific work. More than that, though, they were a pleasure to work with, and they always showed us outstanding customer service and professionalism. Special credit goes to Don Vance, who effectively explained the ins & outs of the usefulness of a mini-split system (particularly compared to other contractor's recommendations for more costly and, most likely, less effective duct repairs). I would pay a premium to work again with M&M and Don, and I highly recommend them.

The furnace fan motor failed on Saturday and left us with no heat for the weekend. I have a service agreement with M&M Mechanical, so I left a message with their message service that I needed a service call. M&M Mechanical called first thing Monday morning and said they would send a technician that same morning. Rob, the service technician, arrived when promised, he was pleasant and personable, and he was highly competent and professional. He replaced the fan motor and capacitor, clearly explained all the work he had to perform, and carefully cleaned up the work area. I strongly recommend M&M Mechanical and their service agreement.

It went pretty well. There was an additional charge on top of the big deal. They've always been responsive. I had a question later about the thermostat because there's a clicking sound when it cycles that I hear and I called them about that to insure that it was operating properly. I was assured that it was the norm for this type of unit. I'm not crazy about it but they have been responsive. They have good customer service, I can say that. I didn;t get the chance to do any type of comparison shopping. The pricing was okay. The initial visit was supposed to $67. I ended up paying $300. But base on what I was told, I didn't have a lot of options at that time. My only issue was I wish I had known that it's going to be this little clicking sound that it makes. I haven't had any issues since the did it. I think I would use them again.

M & M has provided us prompt professional service for the past 15 years. They installed a quality product at a reasonable price.

Without warning, the heat shut off a couple weekends ago after running for about 15-20 minutes. The next day I contacted M&M, and later that afternoon, a technician (Rob) was at my home. Rob navigated a dark crawl space and after a few minutes, he diagnosed the problem as a bad breaker in the air handler. Since the part wasn't in stock, he ordered one and returned a few days later to install it. When the system still didn't start, he performed another round of diagnostics and suggested that we upgrade a breaker at our main electrical panel. He told me that the unit may be getting too much power when it starts, and although it may have worked fine in the past, it may have become a problem over time. He told us he would come back if the upgraded breaker did not solve the problem. We upgraded the breaker as he suggested, but the unit still wouldn't start. As promised, Rob came back out today. After about 10-15 minutes, he identified the final link in the puzzle -- a fuse that was being shorted by insulation adjacent to a metal barrier. He secured its placement and the unit started immediately. Rob saved the day just in time for a very cold weekend. M&M will be my first choice in the future, and although the other technicians are probably great as well, I will personally ask for Rob!

Rob was punctual, pleasant, and cleaned up as he provided service. He went the extra distance trouble-shooting and consulted Larry via phone re the AR Scrubber Cell's prior installation date and any potential warranties since this is a very expensive product to replace. Larry keeps good records. Rob ordered a new replacement AR Scrubber Cell for probable installation next week. Usually I get a heads up phone call from the front desk in the Office 20 -30 minutes in advance so I can put our 2 cats in a closed room but it didn't happen today so when Rob rang the door bell, the cats scattered. Rob patiently waited until I secured the cats. Also I learned that it was incumbent upon me, after talking with the Office and asking about any discounts for Angie's List Members, seniors, veterans, or returning customers, that I had to logon to their website or Angie's List to print out any applicable coupons and hand them to Rob. While Rob waited again patiently, I went online and printed off a coupon. As a customer of over 10 years with M&M (including 2 full systems installations), I really expected better today. Rob gets a gold star and the A grade! Front Office for Customer Service gets a C..

The technician called 45 minutes before his arrival to let us know he was coming. He arrived at the promised time. He performed his maintenance check in a thorough manner and answered questions I had. He spent extra time insuring I understood the workings of my thermostat.

Today Felix came for my pre-winter inspection and he was super. He thoroughly checked out the system including the filter and humidifier attachments. On the outside, he even took a hose to clean out the sides of the compressor so that it would work at its most efficient over the winter. He even pointed out to me that my hot water heater was rusting on the bottom - one thing I would never think to look for. Now I can address this before it turns into an unexpected breakdown and flood in the house. I think this is a high quality company with reliable and professional management and a highly skilled staff.
