If you are planning on renovating a deck, we strongly recommend King Construction. Our deck needed several boards replaced, a new paint job, and improved drainage to prevent rotting of the beams. The project, start to finish, was outstanding. Our experience with Oscar Canales was exceptional. King Construction displayed excellent talent in carpentry, painting, and water drainage concerns. They ensured quality in their work, and maintained project schedule. We are pleased with the quality of King Construction’s work.

Kings general contractor installed a large piece of hardware for me and fixed the crown molding in my kitchen that was falling off. Both installs were done with the resale of my home in consideration. I am very happy with quality and timeliness of the work. I talked to them that morning and the work was completed the same day. I will definitely work with them again.

Oscar is the only one I go to for home repair needs. He is reasonable, thorough, does great work, and is punctual. Every thing you ask for in a contractor. I have worked with him for over 9 years now. He has installed an egress window in my basement, fixed a concrete slab issue I had with another contractor, and is currently working on painting our front, foyer, & basement drywall repair. He has also done great work for my mother in law on many occasion. He NEVER disappoints.

King General installed ceiling fans, including running electric, installing light and dimming switches, stucco work and paint. Additionally, they have removed broken window and installed new glass; as well, they have repaired kitchen faucet assembly. They are top of the line and my familyâ  s go-to general contractor. Always on time, great customer relations and leave everything clean! !

Good job done. My only disappointment was that after charging me for materials in the estimate they came without paint and had to use my old left over paint from 1995 when the house was built. I said itâ  s old and not good but he insisted that itâ  s good and that what they used. I hope heâ  s right but time will tell

Description of Work: Back deck repairs- 1-stairs were separating from deck and 2- needed to add additional supports under the deck, which is 40 years old Oscar came the day after I called to provide original estimate on repair to deck stairs. After obtaining other estimates, I expanded the scope of work to add the additional supports. Oscar came out again and discussed options and different price points for each option. He was very good at listening to my thoughts and opinions and making sure that I was on board with what he was doing throughout the process. Work was completed within three weeks of original call. I would definitely use them again for other projects.

I had a leak in the roof that damaged my ceiling. Oscar and his team came out quickly and found the source of the problem. They fixed the roof and repaired the ceiling damage. Great job at a very reasonable cost. I will definitely recommend him and hire again for future work around the house.

Did a solid job cleaning the deck. Initial seal did not look right, so company came back to fix it. It looks much better now.

I received 3 quotes to repair my deck. It was tipping to one side. Deciding factors for choosing with King Construction were: lowest price; contractor came to my home to see the damage to the deck (…others gave quotes based on pictures alone); he showed me precisely where the damage was by removing one if the columns. The contractor’s quote was based on physical evaluation of the deck…not just on pictures. The whole process was detailed and professional. The final “icing on the cake” was the work performance. The deck was repaired using the required structural items that should have been used in the first place and in the proper manner to sustain the deck. All was done in a professional manner. I am happy with the work done.

I have used King General Contracting for several years and am very happy with their work. Oscar Canales is a very hard worker and does a great job. Has stained the floor of my screened porch ,painted and installed 13 interior doors. I am very happy with his work and will hire him again.

Oscar seems like a knowledgeable contractor who we were eager to do business with. Unfortunately, once we signed a contract and sent a down payment through his primary and only business email, Oscar told us that he never received our contract or money and that his email had been victim of a third party breach. He acknowledged that the relevant emails were sent from and received by his email account, as did his business email's service provider. We tried to work with him to find a solution for weeks until he eventually stopped responding, taking no responsibility for what was effectively a cyber attack on his business that left us with no service and out nearly two thousand dollars! I would urge anyone using this company to find a secure payment method and do all business outside of email as they take no responsibility for business conducted that way! Hire at your own risk.

We hired this company for a bunch of different handyman type things that needed done prior to putting our house on the market. They did a great job with all of them.

We have used King for over 3 years. We install solar and hired them to repair drywall, wood paneling, painting, touching, cosmetic repairs, deck work, etc. Only praise and not one complaint the entire time!

Needed to have a bump out window replaced and reached out to King General Contracting. Mr. Canales immediately responded to my inquiry. Mr. Canales came out to our home the following day to assess the condition of the bump out window and provide an estimate. Mr. Canales and team were able to replace the bump out window and match the old paint scheme. Mr. Canales emphasizes customer service and he listened to my thoughts and concerns throughout the whole process. Mr. Canales completed the work on time and did exactly as requested at the quoted price. He communicated with me very well. I couldn't ask for more. I would do business with them again. Hire this team for your home repairs!

Oscar was absolutely amazing to work with and was extremely thorough providing high quality work. Our basement windows were leaking due to a builder error in construction and Oscar knew how to properly fix it. We couldnâ t be happier and highly recommend this company!!

Hired Oscar to complete several tasks we did not have the time to do. Oscar was very professional, thorough, and delivered good workmanship on each task. He provided painting, light installation, deck sealing and repair, and mail post install, Oscar was personable and flexible to changes we made to the proposal. I would recommend a tighter method of keeping track of the total price between the customer and the service provider. Overall, I was very happy with the results.
