I originally called three masons with very favorable reviews on Angie's List. All three said they would be by within a few days to give an estimate -- none of them ended up coming by/giving me an estimate. I'm assuming they were too busy or perhaps my job was too small. Jeff was recommended to me by a someone in the neighborhood. I left him a message and he promptly returned my call and came by the next day to take a look at the scope of work. He provided me a very competitive estimate within a day. After he answered some questions on the phone I agreed to hire him. The following week he dropped off some brick samples, and he started the job a few days later. The job took two days. He arrived promptly at 7 AM each day. He kept his work area neat and in watching him work and having conversations with him, it is clear that he is perfectionist and an expert at his trade. Additionally, he is a genuinely nice, honest guy. The job took two days, and he returned a few days later to thoroughly scrub the steps. We are very happy with the finished product and I would hire Jeff again without hesitation.
