Kalia Cleaning Service

We would not use them again. We're really particular, we found a really good cleaning crew.

We have used Kalia for about a decade to do monthly cleaning. I had used them off and on for this time and it started out great. We had called for a cleaning on a Thursday but they suggested Saturday. They said that they would be there about 9 or 10 am but did get there until 3 pm. I attempted to contact the owner but they would not get back to me. They missed a bunch of obvious things such as dusting. I left my mother's wedding band out and it was missing after a prior cleaning sessions.

Was going to try them out for the first time. But Javier gave me an issue with scheduling because I had to reschedule twice for last minute doctor appt that I had no control over. Also I had a coupon for first time cleaning and he said I couldn't use it because he was giving me a special price already. What is the point of sending out advertisement coupons for first time cleaning if I can't use it?! Glad I didn't go through with them because I read on Yelp that there have been a lot of unsatisfied customers and some of their belongings/jewelries have been missing.

I have been using Kalia's since 2008 for housecleaning service. Overall, they do a good job. Out of 3 cleaning services I interviewed, they were by far the best on price, and the price has not increased since 2008 for every other week service. The quality of work is ok; some things are missed now and then (i.e., bathroom trashcan not emptied, something obviously not cleaned that should have been). For basic cleaning, they do a good job for the price. The owner, Javier, is very accomodating. He has always been quick to resolve any problem or issue (usually scheduling). If you are looking for good housecleaning service at a reasonable price, Kalia's is a good choice.

We just bought a new house and hired Kalia Cleaning service to do a move-in cleaing as the house was still empty. Javier was pleasant to set-up the appointment and accommodating. On the day of cleaning, the crew was pretty late, over an hour. It wasn't really terrible because I had some flexibility so it wasn't a complete fail. Although I was really close to cancelling completely. The crew did show up and cleaned the house fairly well. They didn't get every nook and cranny (like tops of window sills) but the job was good enough. They orginally quoted $200 but I did some onsite haggling and got it down to $160. I feel I got what I paid for and no more.

I called them on Friday and they came on Tuesday. They arrived half an hour early, and got right to work. I was there during the cleaning and they consulted with me about various aspects of the job during the time they were there. They cleaned surfaces, cabinets, floors, some windows and blinds. I was pleased with the job that they did. I forgot to give them a tip.

There have been a couple times when they have missed something, and I have called. They have offered to come back out, but it has never been that big of a deal to me. They return calls quickly and never cancel their appointments. They do a good job, and I will continue to use their services. I have already recommended them to others.
