I was referred to Jaime Peredo (the owner) by the engineer who I contracted with to make drawings and permit plans to take down a 20' loadbearing wall between two living rooms. The wall was between the original outside wall of the house and an addition, and was approximately 10 inches block and brick -- SOLID -- and covered with drywall/plasterboard. In short, this was a difficult job. Jaime Peredo is a total professional. He showed up on time, gave a fair estimate and an accurate timeline. He was on site every single day of the seven day job, and I was very impressed by how hard his employees worked. I would highly, highly recommend him as a honest and hardworking businessman. In short, I would give him the highest recommendation and plan to use his company for additional work on my new home.

I had a really unique situation in which the floor in my utility room was graded improperly causing even minor water leaks to damage the dry wall and affecting my neighbors house. I called Jaime to see if there was anything his company could recommend as a solution. He was very responsive and came to inspect the situation and made a recommendation. I liked his ideas so agreed to proceed and I made an appointment for him to do the work. Jaime and his team came on the appointed day and got straight to work. Jaime showed me what was being done at each step and he was very communicative during the process. His crew knew what they were doing and worked diligently all day to get everything done. They were friendly and professional and they left the place cleaner than when they got there. The drywall looks great, I can't even tell repairs were made. And the ledge around the utility room will give me some peace of mind against future water damage. Jaime is a problem solver and is very good at his craft. I would highly recommend.

Jaime Peredo was very responsive, courteous and professional. His work was meticulous and thorough, and carried out with great efficiency. This was a big job, and I was very nervous going into it, but as soon as he started, I was able to relax and enjoy watching the progress. When the job was complete, he left the place cleaner than when he arrived. It was the best experience I've had with a contractor. I would hire him again any time I needed construction work.

We called the other 2 contractors on the list and we are going to work with one of them.

See above UPDATE 1-14-2014 After 4 months and lots of rain, I can see that JP General Construction did an outstanding job on sealing our wall. I would recommend them.

It went very well. Jaime is very professional and we were pleased with the work. He is good at coming up with solutions for unusual jobs--we had some repairs on one side of the house that were very difficult to access because an awning didn't allow for a ladder but he figured a way around it. We will continue to use him in the future.

They were very good, he was very responsive and got back to us very quickly, the quote was very well done and I would recommend him.

Jaime Peredo just completed a well constructed concrete patio. He started with demolition of the existing walkway. He them crsuhed and removed excess concrete and top soil. He Leveled the surface of top soil and added crushed concrete,&gravel. He topped off the surface with fresh concrete which was smoothed out to an even finish. The result: a professional looking patio. I love it. Jaime Peredo is truly a professional by trade. He is very business like , courteous and punctual. I have scheduled another job with him.

He is a really good guy and good business man. He has a lot of good ideas and the people that work for him are nice people. I have used him a lot and have been very happy with his services.

It was a good experience. They were professional. They came, they did their work and they left. Their punctuality was pretty good and I wouldn’t say it was perfect. They wouldn’t necessarily say that they will be here by 12, they will say they will be here between 12 and 1 or 12 and 2. They might get here at 2:05. As far as the communicating with them goes, if I want things done in a particular way I specifically deal with Jaime who is the boss there. He will do it but I just have to make sure that I communicate exactly on how I want things done, if I have minor preference on things. It was good. It was certainly what I expected, may be even a little more than what I expected but it wasn’t like the baddest possible experience in the world.

I contacted several contractors through Angie's list. Mr. Peredo was the only one that responded and followed through in a professional manner. When I confirmed he could do the job, he showed up as expected and completed the job in the same day. He was meticulous in cleaning up. i plan to do business with Mr. Peredo for the long term. He replaced an old wooden fence and is expected to replace the drywall and ceiling in our basement.

Mr. Peredo is responsive, professional, and cleaned up well after work was complete. The work was done in one day (he and one coworker), and for the exact quoted price in the estimate. He was not familiar with using different mortar for such an old house (1919) with lime mortar and softer brick (which is not unusual), but I just bought the proper materials myself and he used that, so it was no big deal. He used some of the extra concrete to repair something I had not mentioned at no extra charge, which is a clear sign of someone who I want to work with again. I'll call him again when the weather is warmer for more concrete work. Highly recommend.

I called Jaime on a suggestion from a structural engineer who looked over my house. Jaime answered and said he could meet me in two days at my new house. Jaime showed up and confirmed that my main beam needed jacked up and reinforced. He said he could start a few days later. Received an estimate later that night and informed me that he could actually start early. Wow! As I was ripping out some really terrible renovation from 2007 (I would really like to publicly embarrass whomever did that crappy work!) and noticed some crappy fixes to old (previously disclosed) termite damage in a small area. I showed Jaime and he fixed it the correct way the last day of the main beam job. Quick, effective and done properly. Will most assuredly call him again if i need any more work done.

Mr. Peredo was recommended by the structural engineer I had look at the columns and the beam, which appeared to be bowing. I called Mr. Peredo and he said he could meet me the next day or the day after. I called him about 15 minutes after the first meeting time and he said it would have to be the next day--he showed the next day. He quickly assessed the various issues and took some measurements. He provided me an estimate on the spot that was very reasonable for the scope of work. We discussed some of the details and agreed on the scope of work. He began work three days later, working over the weekend. He called me to ask for the paint to be delivered since I hadn't bought it yet--we provided the paint and he started to paint on that Sunday. The repair work was very well done and the reinforced beam blended in well I don't think anyone can tell it wasn't there previously. I was very pleased with this work. The painting looked good but was only one coat--we had agreed on two since it was a light color over a darker one. I called Mr. Peredo after a short discussion he agreed to do it--this was completed with a week of talking with him. Overall, I think Mr. Peredo does great work. He is responsive and always picked up the phone when I called. I did feel that I needed to be proactive in communicating with him to check in. I appreciated how rapidly he worked as well.

Jamie and his team were awesome. They showed up every day at 9am and left every day at 6pm. It was the same crew every day. I felt totally comfortable leaving a key with Jamie while I was away at work. His attention to detail was incredible. He thought of all the little things that didn't make it into the engineer's plans and always went the extra mile. I highly recommend Jamie for any project - you won't be disappointed.

Jaime worked over the course of a few days and did everything to our satisfaction. He brought one worker with him. He is dependable, pleasant and does a great job. I would use him again.

Jaime Peredo excavated and transformed a deep window well into a walkout basement. He tackled the difficult job and came to the site every day until the job was finished. I was really impressed that he continued to work after unforseen issues caused the job to run over schedule. At the end, he presented a fair modified price in accordance with the extra time and materials necessary. He took a job others turned down. Cleanup was expeditious.

He filled the cracks and painted to make the repairs. He's done other projects for us, including fixing our kitchen foundation, installing a chair rail, powerwashing the deck, and removing a squirrel condo. He does great follow up on his work and really makes sure it is done right. I've recommended him to the neighbors, and we all call Jaime now!

Jaime originally came over in the pouring rain to look at my drainage problem, which turned out to be a good idea. That way we were able to catch all the bad areas. I had several questions and concerns which I would email back and forth. I have to say Jaime was very quick at getting back to me with answers. The guys worked hard and did a good job and it took most of the day. They actually hand dug the trenches so they wouldn't run into "surprises" in the yard. (Turned out, there were surprises, old water pipes.) The job has a very professional look to it and even the neighbors have commented about how neat it looks. Jaime was easy to work with and gave me a good product.

Jaime was recommended by our structural engineer. He was professional and did exactly what we needed. His estimate was accurate. Scheduling and communication was easy. It was a one day job--he was here all day with a few of his workers. We would use him again.

This was my first time using JP General Construction. I met with Jaime Peredo, the proprietor, on October 11th for an estimate. He was friendly and professional. He explained what he would do and gave me a price of $200.00. Because our job was small, he thought he might be able to do the job the next day, but it had to be postponed due to rain. We tried again for October 14th, but his job that day ran long. He rescheduled for first thing in the morning on October 15th, which ended up being better for us anyway. Jaime arrived with his assistant promptly, just after 8 am, to do the work. The work took about an hour. Jaime wrote up a detailed and neat invoice without me having to ask. The price was as had been stated. While Jaime was here, he gave me an estimate for rerouting one of my downspouts, and we talked about some other projects. I had a positive experience and will certainly consider Jaime for future work.

They had worked for my neigbor a couple of years ago and they had a good experience. He gave me the name, I called him and he was here a day or so later. He looked at the job and gave me a quote. I had two other people look at it and he seemed to be the most reliable and eligible. He did the work in a timely manner and I was very pleased and happy with the work he did. His work ethic, clean up, pricing and everything was just top of the line. He walked in the door as the clock was striking the hour, that's unusual for a workman. I plan to use him in the future. I was so pleased with him that I am looking for other jobs for him to do, I may have some work in the basement.
