The company was efficient, professional and very friendly. They didnt mind me taking as many pictures as I wanted. The Supervisor came out to check on the construction of the work every so often. I ask a lot of questions and got answers. If the workers didnt know, they would call the Supervisor and the Supervisor would call and answer my questions. I would recommend them to any and everyone. I liked them so much that I am having them do extra work now.

Excellent craftsmanship. My decks turned out so beautiful. The project was completed in a reasonable time. I would hire them again for any outdoor project.

I do not normally go out and put reviews unless I am moved by an experience, service, quality, etc. In this case, I just had to get it out there. HD Exteriors has been the best experience I have had with any patio/porch/deck company ever! Over the course of 3 homes, this is the fifth time doing a major exterior project. Each time I tried a different route of getting the project completed. Working with HD Exteriors has been the most rewarding and satisfying. They get an A+ for service, quality, cost, and just plain being human! I trust them whole-heartedly to do any future work on my house. In fact, I have already made plans for additional projects in my back yard and will be using them for all of them. My father is a tough critic and hard to impress. He is an excellent gauge that I use when making decisions. In this case, even he was extremely happy from the beginning with the work and experience! I just can not say enough great things about the company, the workers, and especially the main team I worked with for this effort: Graham Sr., Graham Jr., Tom, Edwin, Diane, Beth, and Kim. If you want a WIN-WIN situation, then I suggest you go with HD Exteriors. It began with me having ideas of what I wanted to be added to the back of my house. I had contacted many companies to get ideas, suggestions, and estimates. Out of all the companies that came out, HD Exteriors had the best of all worlds! Graham Jr., the son of the owner, came over to look at the space, make suggestions, and give an estimate. Working with him was the most pleasant experience in customer service I have ever had. That was the beginning of me realizing HD Exteriors is what I wanted out of partnering with a business to complete a project. For this work, I went with a patio, deck, and a covered and screened porch. Graham Sr., the owner, was the next step in making the design a reality and crunching the final numbers. In fact, if it was not for him, my project would have been average in terms of detail and looks. But he made a stellar design, incorporated my wants, and still was able to bring the price point down to something that worked for me and him. In fact, he was the lowest quote I had received! His work also included a warranty that was longer than the others, and he was going to make sure we are happy at the end of the project. When the work began, the crews that came out for the work also were very pleasant and easy to work with. Tom, the project manager, and Edwin, the supervisor, were great to talk to and helped in making things happen. They were on-site as needed. The crews were professional and knew what they were doing. When the work was completed, I could not believe what I had on the back of my house! The completed patio, deck, and porch turned out to be the best design in my neighborhood! My family could not wait to start using the new space. Everyone was so happy. Neighbors were stopping through, just to tell me how wonderful the completed project looks, and that they want something like that. I am still in awe of how it turned out. It was natural and classy at the same time. It was perfect. I worked with Diane, Beth, and Kim throughout the whole process. They are in the HD Exteriors office and assist with the logistics, scheduling, payment, and closing out the project. It was an awesome operation as a whole. As said before, it is a WIN-WIN! My family could not be happier, and we look forward to future rewarding experiences and projects with HD Exteriors.

My deck replacement project was a guinea pig of HD exteriors non-validated new crew (Owner admitted that he hired a new carpenter crew). This is a serious quality control issue. The estimated price was median based on a few quotes. The actual build started on 9/21 and ended on 10/17, due to multiple issues. It seems like HD exterior is **busy** enough that they are no longer caring about their reputation as you see from older reviews. It was understandable that the current pandemic caused communication issues between employees within the company. However, I captured multiple typos and errors during the documentation and permitting stage (e.g. HOA). During the construction stage, I highly recommend watching and appeal the daily progress to ensure quality work, or they will miss something or conceal what they made a mistake. Until I ask a question, I did not receive any explanation about the entire actual build process. After their **proposed completion** on 10/5/20, there was **no final walkthrough with the company staff** on an over $14k project. I found 20+ errors and issue points (e.g. missing caps, misalignment, non-secured post, and more), but just received a finance approval signature request over email and I recognized my deck was completed. Simply, the HD Exterior crew ran away. These crews trespassed in my backyard without checking in and randomly visited without notice (I thought it is a normal process, but it was not!). Finally, the majority of issues are resolved after direct communication with the owner of this company. If you are looking for professional, detailed work, this company left tons of construction debris, screws, and nails in my backyard (They do not understand the meaning of cleaning for their work). The crew was not careful with handling materials. I am still seeing popped out nails, screws, cracks, and temporarily covered holes on lumber and materials due to their mistake. Necessary post work for the owner to do after construction. I had to wash the gravel yard and filtered all the debris from it. Used a shop vac to clean up composite debris. I filled sunken holes around the posts and removed all the abandoned dirt. Overall, I have a deck that reflects my requested design but I am having doubts about how long it will last.

I spoke with a number of contractors about replacing our small, deteriorating wooden deck, and got three quotes, but HD Exteriors stood out in every way during that process so I hired them. I was not disappointed. They did everything they said they would do, gave excellent advice and guidance throughout, handled HOA approval and county permits, and did a fantastic job on our new, large composite deck. The workers were efficient and respectful, and the final result is beautiful. All for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Professionalism & honesty of staff and technicians. HD Exteriors is a family owned business that lives up to its word and delivers on what they promise. The craftsmanship and quality of work is great and they kept us informed of the progress & any issues that cropped up every day, every step of the way. As far as pricing goes, it's very competitive, and you wont get much better for your money. We have no regrets and fell neither will you if you select them as your contractor.

Graham Sr, Graham Jr, and the entire HD Exteriors family were a pleasure to work with. Pricing was great and the work was even better - the deck looks amazing! They responded to every email, call and text message. They were always friendly and I have already recommended them to several friends of mine.

We hired HD without even getting a second estimate. We thought their plan and pricing were good enough to immediately move forward. Very pleased that we did. Under structure of the deck was still in good condition. So we had an overhaul and refurbishment of the deck with new stairs and railings. Project was completed within one month of signing the contract. Job actually started one day early. Excellent quality of workmanship and materials. The job was completed in a timely fashion. The job site was cleaned up at the end of each day. Highly skilled professionals at HD. We had a few items on the punch list that we wanted corrected. Workers showed up two days later (pouring rain kept them away the immediate next day) and completed all necessary tasks to perfection. The deck looks amazing. We score it a 10/10! We feel confident in giving a 5 star review and highest recommendation to HD.

They put a new railing on my deck. I love my new railing,m they did a great job.

This company is very unprofessional. We have a narrow space to build a deck. The guy came out, did some measurements, and told us we could have an 8-foot wide deck. When the project manager came out to take final measurements he said it could only be 7ft wide. We agreed. Then the owner told us it could only be 6ft wide. We told them to see what they could do. We did not hear back from them. After a week of waiting, we called to cancel our contract and got our deposit back. We got the impression that they were just not interested in building our deck. We are going with another company.

Workers were pleasant, skilled, and always showed up on time.

We hired HD Exteriors to build out a new deck for us because they seemed professional (at first). They drew up a drawing for us and we approved it. When it was time to start building the deck, we noticed that the steps leading up to the deck were right in front of our window, when initially, we specifically said we did NOT want steps in front of our window as it obstructs our view. Tim Dumm at our initial meeting assured us that this would not happen. So their blueprints were incorrect and I remember Graham, the owner, saying they will no longer add windows to their drawings (probably to prevent clients from catching this mistake). We agreed that instead of reconstructing the deck which would cost them more money, we agreed instead to build out a patio at a discounted rate. We were thinking of doing a patio anyways so we took him up on his offer. Since we were getting the deck built first, we would wait and build the patio afterward. Also, I want to mention some other issues we encountered so people are aware of. During the inspection, they did not do composite boards on the top rail as they promised us. They said this was standard. One of the mainboards had a huge gash on it that I asked them to replace. We built a roof, so this required gutters. They promised they were going to bury our gutters and connect them to our already established drain line in our yard. They did not bury our gutters above ground until we told them. And when we did get them to correct it they did not do it as discussed which resulted in the water pouring out into our yard. When we paid them for the deck and asked about the next steps on the patio, Graham writes back saying that he would look through the emails and see what was promised for what price. This was in March. Crickets...Followed up in April with Beth, then in May with Graham. Crickets. It is now June, which is why we are writing this review. Our assumption now is he realized he was giving us a discount for THEIR mistake so they are now ghosting us. This is highly unprofessional and we regret going with this company for their lack of integrity and lack of communication. For the amount of money we spent on this deck and roof, we expect to get quality work. To top it off, we now notice that a lot of the posts or support beams have cracks in them from the nails. They had promised us high-quality wood which we do not see now that the job has been done. For people out there who are looking to build a deck or patio, because in the end all they want is your money and that is all they care about.

I had a deck built by HD Exterior early May and I am very impressed. I had estimates from a number of contractors and HD Exterior's estimate was by far the most reasonable. With the quality of work and timeliness of the project, I am very pleased with their professionalism. I highly recommend them and definitely will use them again. Keep up the good work!!!

From quote to finish, excellent quality. We had an enclosed patio redone and it has exceeded our expectations. The guys were so punctual and professional and addressed any questions and concerns. We are so glad we went through HD Exteriors and will be using them again.

Very professional. High quality work. They addressed all concerns I had. They rely on automated notifications to keep you informed of the status. That process needs tweaking. I would highly recommend them. Overall I am very pleased.

From initial estimate to final inspection, the guys with HD are amazing!! Tim came out for the initial estimate, his "presentation" & knowledge was on point. We signed a contract before he left. Questions that came up later were answered immediately either by phone call, email, or both! They started sooner than expected, took care of everything including permits, inspectors & deliveries! The crew arrived on the start date & didn't waste anytime getting started. By the end of day 1, all was ready for the inspector. By day 3, the new screened in deck was solid, complete, & cleared from the inspector!! If I had any complaints, it would be they could have been a little more careful not damage the plants in the flower beds adjacent to the deck. I am so happy with this company, that I will be contacting them in the near future for other projects.

Excellent service, prompt responses to questions, and followed through on all commitments, went the extra mile in fixing issues relating to the project but not included in the original proposal!
