Description of Work: Don't get me wrong. I like these guys, and they did an OK job. My problem was that I had them do the work when I was out of town. And, despite detailed instructions, the foreman on the job took it upon himself to do something different than was agreed. And it was a problem. This meant that they had to come in and redo a portion of it, leaving a seam that made the job look somewhat amateurish. On the other hand, once they had made the mistake, they either had to dig up the entire driveway and do it over, or just essentially place a band-aid on it the best they could. Since it was a small area, I let it slide. I originally was thinking they could refund me some of the price, but they were resistant, and offered to give me a "discount" on sealing it some months in the future. So, bottom line, I paid a premium price, and got a botched job that, if they had followed instructions that I gave to the owner's son, would admittedly have been absolutely perfect. The problem was that the owner's son was not the person supervising the job, and the person supervising the job apparently wasn't briefed properly. Had I been there, this would have been avoided, and the job would have been perfect, because apart from this glitch, it was very well performed. I probably could have pushed them to refund some of the price based on the difference between the result and the agreed upon job, but life is too short, and as I said, I like them. Would I use them again? Maybe. But not if I'm not there watching them. So it's hard to recommend them to others. I think the quality of their work is very good, but they came up short in my case, and their solution really didn't resolve the issue. But hey! It's only a driveway, and I don't have time to focus my energy on it. |Other providers would have done the job for $1000 less, but who knows if they would have done it as well. On the other hand, maybe they would have followed my instructions without me supervising them directly.
