Description of Work: This past fall my home was severely damaged by a fallen tree. Having not dealt with such a significant catastrophe in the past, we needed help in understanding what was needed to bring our home back to its original condition and the steps to take in getting started. Thankfully, we have family in the construction business that was able to refer us to Halse Remodeling. Corky and Sean Halse were able to deal with our insurance company and their various adjusters to make sure the adjustment covered what was needed to do all of the work. As it turned out, many different trades were needed. Corky and Sean's 30+ years of experience, understanding of construction and top notch coordination lead to a quick and seamless rebuilding of two major walls and floors of our home. The work included engineering, structural masonry (matched so perfectly you cannot tell where the new and old come together), structural framing, electric, HVAC, drywall, painting, insulating, hardwood flooring, roofing, siding, trim work, guttering and windows. Their hands on approach and coordination allowed for all work to be completed in very short order. To our amazement, the materials such as windows and flooring were high end products. They weren't required to install new high end insulated wood windows and could have used vinyl, but took it upon themselves to install products that would most closely match the original construction of our circa 1964 home. That approach to building materials contined with virtually every product installed during the re-construction. In the end we have a completely repaired home, brought back to its original shape visually, but with much more energy efficient products and the latest building technology.
